Dr. Julia Carroll is co-founder of Compass Dermatology in Toronto. She is a board-certified dermatologist and Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, specializing in both medical and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Mark Kirchhof is the Division Head of Dermatology at the University of Ottawa and The Ottawa Hospital, and the current President of the Canadian Dermatology Association (CDA). His research focuses on immune-system signalling pathways in dermatology.

Dr. Melinda Gooderham is Medical Director at the Skin Centre for Dermatology in Peterborough, Ontario, a Consultant Physician at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, and Assistant Professor at Queen’s University. She is also Deputy Editor of JCMS Case Reports and one of Canada’s leading clinical trial investigators in dermatology.

Dr. Jérôme Coulombe is a dermatologist with fellowship training in pediatric dermatology. He is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the Université de Montréal Faculty of Medicine and practices at CHU Sainte-Justine in Montreal.

Dr. Brian Kim is one of the top researchers worldwide in the study of patients with itch and other skin conditions. He is Vice Chair of Research in the Department of Dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. He is also the Director of the Mark Lebwohl Center for Neuroinflammation and Sensation.

Dr Boos is an attending pediatric dermatologist at Seattle Children's Hospital and is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine. He is also the Program Director of the Dermatology Residency Program. Dr. Boos is an advocate for health equity with a special interest in LGBTQ health, primary immunodeficiencies and the intersection of climate change and dermatology.

Dr. Miranda Waugh is a fourth year dermatology resident at the University of Ottawa. And she is the CDA Residents and Fellows Society Representative for 2024-25. Dr. Waugh is also the co-founder of Sty-Lives, a national skin cancer education initiative for hairstylists with Save Your Skin Foundation.

Dr. Tamryn Eglinton is a third year dermatology resident at Dalhousie University. She is originally from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Dr. Aguh is an Associate Professor of Dermatology and Director of the Ethnic Skin Program at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Her area of research focuses primarily on skin conditions that disproportionately impact minority populations, with particular emphasis on scarring hair loss and hair care practices.

Our guest sleuth, Mark Kirchhof, is division head of Dermatology in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ottawa and The Ottawa Hospital. And he is the President of the CDA.
