ESOA Podcast 100 Dynamo Dreesen
2026/10/05
Greetings,
my dear listeners, ambient nerds, house fans, dub freaks, technoheads and, of course,
drum & bass enthusiasts. This podcast has been covering all of this and much more for seven years now.
And when I started this on a whim back in May 2019, I never in my wildest dreams would have imagined that
I’d still be doing it today. Today, with this episode, we’ve reached number 100.
And of course, this has only been possible thanks to your support – the many listeners and fellow travellers –
and, of course, the fantastic guests. You’ve all helped make this, in my view, very special ESOA podcast
what it is today: a subcultural contribution covering all facets of electronic music.
I’d like to say thank you.
My guest today is, once again, a very special one, and I’m delighted that he’s finally joining the ESOA family.
I really appreciate that, as always.
I’m talking about Andreas Krumm, or Dynamo Dreesen, an artist who perfectly embodies the full scope of the podcast through his DJ sets, his productions and the label Acido or like he say A-tschi-do Records.
It all began back in 1990 in Flensburg with his first experiments in alternative rock, dub, hip hop
and a touch of jungle.
And so, now in his third decade, he’s still going strong.
Initially inspired musically by his idol John Peel, he later - now living in Milan - suddenly found himself
inspired at an antiques market to launch his A-tschi-do label.
Today, his sound falls somewhere within the house genre, whilst drawing extensively from minimal,
funk, electro, jazz, world music and tech genres.
I think his set for the podcast is a masterpiece and therefore worthy of the 100th episode.
Have a listen and enjoy it for yourselves right here: ESOA Podcast 100 by Dynamo Dreesen.
As always, I’m sending a little peace, respect and subcultural solidarity into a world that knows no bounds.
Ciao

ESOA Podcast 099 AOSH
2026/09/05
Hello Everyone,
It’s that time again to escape the ever-faster, increasingly chaotic whirlwind of life, filled with AI and Bad News. And instead, to immerse ourselves a little in Music and Culture. I’m grateful for every artist who joins me on this journey.
Today it’s AOSH, an artist from Dutch.
He’s been actively involved in that scene – with its raw warehouses, sound systems and the kind of atmosphere you could create from scratch yourself – since the late 90s. The Sound he’s developed from this now encompasses Ambient, Dub Techno, Leftfield Bass, Melodic textures and Breakbeat.
So it goes without saying that he’s a perfect fit for the ESOA family.
He has very deliberately chosen every single track with respect for each individual artist, which he has included in Today’s Set for us here.
His idea behind this is to remain experimental and to focus on deep listening. It starts off warm and dub-heavy, eventually diving into hypnotic, undulating dub-techno, and lets the final section fade into something calmer and more human.
We’re looking forward to another brilliant set.
Here is ESOA Podcast 099 by AOSH.
Have a great, respectful and peaceful time.
Thanks for listening.

ESOA Podcast 098 Tom Newman
2026/08/02
Hello everyone,
On to the next episode of the ESOA Podcast.
It’s summertime, so it’s time for something a bit fresher.
Not quite as fast, and certainly not as heavy.
Today’s guest has been making a name for himself as a drum & bass DJ since the late 90s.
Back then as Mr Spooky, now known as Tom Newman, his style is more straightforward
but no less interesting.
He combines a well-curated electronic sound with familiar sound snippets that often
lead to ‘aha’ moments.
Tom has also always been actively involved in the scene through his other endeavours.
He founded his label, KWZ Records, in 1997; has always been – and still is today –
a freelance contributor to clubs and cultural venues; spent several years as a sound designer
at Hessischer Rundfunk; and is currently involved in the planning at JAPO Concert and Event Services.
That sounds like he has little free time, but when he does have some, he spends it on music.
Look forward to a fresh electronica experiment.
Here is ESOA Podcast 098 by and featuring Tom Newman.
Have a great time with it and enjoy the summer.
Love and Peace

ESOA Podcast 097 Sven Kupfer
2026/07/05
Greetings to everyone out there on the airwaves,
to a new broadcast of the ESOA Podcast. This month’s episode is number 97, and my guest is Sven Kupfer. He began his first forays into DJing in 93 using various formats such as vinyl, cassette, audio tape and CD. Over the years, he’s played at various clubs such as Farblager, Seilfabrik Zwickau, Weißer Hase in Berlin and Velvet in Hamburg, as well as on platforms like Love Parade, Ampathy and Beatconnect. Since at least 2014, he’s also been working in the studio himself, releasing, amongst other things, his first LP Facets in 2020 and his second LP, Seasons, in 2023. These were released on the Dudes on Decks Records, which he personally runs. He best describes his sound as minimal, techno or progressive. In any case, his sets are wildly versatile and uncompromisingly forward-driving. See for yourselves here – exclusively for you, here is ESOA Podcast 097 by Sven Kupfer. Let’s get straight to it and have loads of fun.

ESOA Podcast 096 The Gnat & Mad_line
2026/06/01
Hi everyone to a new episode of ESOA Podcast,
and this time – I should mention this right away – we’re venturing into territory beyond 160 BPM.
It’s Gabba time again. I reckon most of our older listeners first came across these hard styles back in the 90s – Hardcore and Gabba. And I think this style also has its place as a branch on our Electronic Music Tree.
For this episode, I found two dear old friends who’ve agreed to put together a nice, hard-hitting set for us. Robert and Jan, aka The Gnat & Mad_line, are from Chemnitz. They’ve known each other since school days and gained their first musical experience at the former Kunstfabrik in Glösa.
A memorable place where so many Chemnitz artists laid their foundations in the 90s.
Having previously started out as solo artists – Robert, for example, under the name Violation –
they have been performing together since 1999, beginning at their home venue, Club Achtermai in Chemnitz.
Over the years, they have also played at venues such as Triebwerk in Dresden, Sky Club in Leipzig, Ndorphin Chemnitz or Tresor in Berlin.
Their own productions and releases can be found under names such as Dropping Bomps, Hunted Souls or Never Burn Out on Hardrive Records.
For all those who like this sound, enjoy the next two hours; to everyone else, we say: do give it a respectful listen.
Here, exclusively for you The Gnat & Mad_line on ESOA Podcast 096.
Have a Great Time
Love and Peace

He is a Co-founder of the Paradigm Collective. His sets express powerful, dynamic Hardgroove and Hypnotic Techno. He released his first 4-Track EP in 2017 on the English label Taro Records. These were released on the Portuguese label Kepler Records and Sunburn Records in Marseille.
He is currently devoting a great deal of time to Music. It is therefore inevitable and only natural that he is taking to the stage of the ESOA Podcast for us today.

ESOA Podcast 094 Lonerist
2026/04/05
Dear friends of contemporary electronic Music, Welcome to the ESOA Podcast.
It’s sad to see how the world seems to be getting worse and worse.
We should take a moment to reflect and appreciate how beautiful life is and I’d like to keep reminding you
of that here with consistently great Music.
After all, as we all know, Music helps to provide a positive counterbalance.
And I can promise you right now that my guest today does just that with what I think is yet another wonderful
and seemingly golden Dub Techno Set.
His name is Lonerist and he hails from Scotland. Yet another artist whose active roots stretch all the way back
to the 90s. He plays and produces everything from hip hop to deep house and electro, though he focuses very strongly on the dub techno genre.
And that is precisely what he’s treating us to here today.
His releases can be found on Labels such as Cold Tear, Crossfade Sounds, Piranha Siberia Dub, Verdant Recordings and Insectorama.
He has already performed at major events and clubs such as ‘The Arches’ and ‘The Sub Club’ in Scotland,
amongst others, and several of his dub sets can also be found on other techno podcasts.
He is delighted to have been invited to the ESOA Podcast and to have such a long set time at his disposal here, allowing him to showcase his dub sound with its space and depth, featuring long transitions.
Friends, here’s an exclusive for you: Lonerist on the ESOA Podcast 094.
Have a great time.

ESOA Podcast 092 Sagaz
2026/02/01
Another episode of ESOA Podcast this week, so welcome.
Just like life and the whole world, things are once again straightforward,
technoid and impulsive.
My guest in this episode is once again from London.
His name is Sagaz and his sound is clearly forward-thinking, raw techno at its finest.
He sees himself as deeply rooted in the London underground scene and draws inspiration
from the groovy and hypnotic sounds of Amsterdam during his occasional trips there.
So here's your chance to be inspired by his sound.
Here is ESOA Podcast 092 by Sagaz, exclusively for you.
Have fun and enjoy a time.
Peace, your ESOA Podcast.

ESOA Podcast 091 TAEBASCO
2026/01/05
Hello friends, and a peaceful and healthy New Year to you all.
A new year is beginning, but we are continuing as usual. High quality, each and every artist anew. Always with an eye on the subculture, without any Tam Tam.
This is also true of my guest today, Edmund Telasco, better known to many as TAEBASCO. He is a Mexican-Afro-Caribbean artist.
Starting with performances at Munich locations such as Die Bank and Die Registratur Bar, he now lives in Barcelona. Edmond is artisticall and technically enthusiastic about music and sound. He is currently completing his electrical engineering training in the field of sound engineering.
He closely follows the local scene in Barcelona and the artists associated with it, supporting them with a monthly podcast called ‘AMEBA’ on dublab.cat. His own focus is on techno from the late 90s and 2000s.
He is currently also concentrating on his own music production. He describes his own sets as hybrid sets from CDJ and Vinyl with an aspiration to be an exclusively Vinyl DJ, which I would like to note here as a positive.
Now look forward to a technoid and exclusive set from TAEBASCO.
Here is ESOA Podcast 091.
A happy new year, a wonderful time and thanks for listening.
Bye bye

For friends of powerful techno sounds, spot on.
My guest on today's episode is Au Revoir.
Raised in the south of France, he now lives in Berlin.
He either improvises powerful live sets with his drum machines and modular synthesizers
or plays energetic selections behind the players.
Either way, he is always rooted in rhythmic, hypnotic and immersive soundscapes.
So enjoy his set for us, for the podcast.
Here is ESOA Podcast Number 90, exclusively by Au Revoir.

ESOA Podcast 089 Alexander Bogdanov
2025/11/03
Hello friends,
Welcome back to the monthly electronic music podcast – ESOA Podcast.
Once again, we have a very special guest, in my opinion.
He lives in Minsk, Belarus.
He is a producer, live act and DJ, and his style is in the dub and dub techno genre.
His name is Alexander Bogdanov.
He has released several of his own productions on labels such as spcInch, Seven Villas, Hello Strange and Greyscale.
I think he is a great artist who enriches today's music landscape with innovation and good musical taste.
Once again, I am delighted to welcome Alexander Bogdanov to the ESOA family.
Enough said, here is ESOA Podcast 089 by Alexander Bogdanov.
Have a wonderful dubi time, forget the madness of current events for a while,
until the next edition.

ESOA Podcast 088 DJ ARG
2025/10/05
Good evening dear friends of electronic music.
My guest today looks back to 1989, when he and his brother created mixtapes in a style mix between rap and acid house, featuring artists such as Bomp the Bass, Adonis, Public Enemy and Ice T. But he was and still is no stranger to punk either.
In 1993, everyone in Mainz was talking about Sven Väth and Omen in Frankfurt, which also captivated him and didn't let go until 1997. This led him to sell his beloved moped and buy two Technics players.
At some point, he broke away and went in the wrong direction, away from music.
Through a later girlfriend, who had two players at home, he returned to music and around 2005 he also began producing himself.
However, by 2010 at the latest, he realised that the whole scene was not always honest and that the spirit that the original heroes had paved the way for had been lost.
He speaks about what is happening today and now in a way that is not necessarily positive, but rather critical.
I must point out here that he has produced a considerable number of productions and releases, especially in the acid genre. And that's why I'm all the more delighted that he has agreed to create a beautiful mix for the ESOA podcast. The whole thing is rather house-like with a tendency towards Chicago, a primordial seed of the house and techno scene.
Look forward to this beautiful mix, ESOA Podcast 088 by DJ ARG or A.R.G.!
Cheers

ESOA Podcast 087 Scott Vilbert
2025/08/31
Good afternoon
and welcome back to the monthly edition of the ESOA podcast.
And today, here and as always, for all friends of subculture.
For the 87th edition, we have another long-time pioneer of the electronic music scene, who has been behind the turntables for at least 28 years now.
Not only that, he is also the operator of two legendary clubs.
One is Shootclub and the other is Ponit Zero.
Over the years, he has also played at several other clubs as well as festivals such as Sonne Mond Sterne and Summer Spirit.
He has always filled the dance floors with good techno and good vibes.
I'm happy to say here's to the next 28 years!
Friends, here is ESOA Podcast 087 by Scott Vilbert.
Have fun listening.

ESOA Podcast 086 Cancelore
2025/08/03
And here we go again,
welcome to a new month and a new ESOA podcast.
And no less musical quality.
My guest today writes that in his youth he rummaged through his father's jazz and bossa nova record collection or drew inspiration from his mother, who came with Harry Belafonte. As he got older, however, he became more interested in funk, hip-hop and punk'n'roll, so his love of music covers a pretty wide range.
And then came Homework, which marked a turning point towards house and techno. Fun fact: Homework was also the first record I ever bought.
He started producing himself and eventually got into DJing. His love of music is still unbroken today, and his sets currently contain a touch of jazz and a lot of house music.
For us, he has prepared a beautiful technoid set somewhere between Detroit and Berlin.
Friends, here is ESOA Podcast 86 by Cancelore.
Once again, enjoy listening, liking and sharing.
Have a great time.
Cheers
