Brooklyn Nets need early bounce back weekend
2026/10/23
Game one of 82 was a mess, but that’s ok…
as long as the Nets can showcase they are on the right path against the Cavs and Pacers over the weekend.
Energy, effort, and dare I say “Brooklyn Grit” will go a long way to restoring fan confidence.
Beyond the disappointing opener, there is also something interesting to watch when it comes to the bench rotation. Jordi Fernandez left Drake Powell, Danny Wolfe, Josh Minott, and Terrence Mann notably on the bench.
The nets are obviously not running 14 man rotations, but the belief is that we will see different combination samples early in the season until key contributors step up and claim consistent minutes.

Julius Randle shines but Brooklyn loses home opener
2026/10/22
We all know what Julius Randle can do on the basketball court, Michael Porter Jr. as well for that matter.
tonight was supposed to be the unveiling of improved young talent guided by experienced veterans. Instead it was a brutal start to the season for Egor Dëmin and Nolan Traore that at least for this night only further push the fanbase in a concerned direction.
110-103 final and a tight box score doesn’t fully display the areas that need critical improvement: rebounding, fouling, turnovers.
Just 1 of 82 but one the Nets will look to forget.

Keon Ellis to Brooklyn: Breaking down the Nets' Newest Signing
2026/07/01
The Nets Free Agency didn’t kick off with a “sexy” super star swing, but it still answered a question for this roster. With a core of young Guards, including recently drafted Mikel Brown Jr. there was a clear need for experience and defense in the back court. Keon Ellis checks both boxes, and on a 2/$18 deal keeps Brooklyn flush with cap space as the NBA landscape shifts.

Cam Johnson OUT! Nets make deal with Denver for Michael Porter Jr., 2032 FRP
2025/07/01
Finally, by some fans' expectations, the Brooklyn Nets have pulled the trigger on a Cam Johnson trade. Brooklyn made a splash early in NBA Free Agency, sending Johnson to the Denver Nuggets in exchange for Michael Porter Jr. and an unprotected 2032 first-round pick.
Sean Marks adds another future first-rounder — one that could carry real value in long-term trade talks — while also bringing in Porter Jr., a high-upside player who could become a key asset in his own right.
In the short term, Porter adds size and floor spacing to a Nets roster that’s getting younger and more athletic by the day. What does this mean for Brooklyn's future? And how does MPJ fit with the Nets’ rookie backcourt duo?
We’ve got it all covered on We Got Nets.
