When Words Can’t Be Trusted
2026/09/27
In a world filled with conflicting voices, flattering words, half-truths, and deception, who can we trust? In Psalm 12:1–8, David looks around and sees a society where faithfulness is disappearing and words are being used to manipulate and control. Yet in the middle of all the noise, one voice remains completely trustworthy: God’s. In this devotional, we’ll discover why God hears the hurting, why our own words matter, and why we can confidently build our lives on the pure and faithful words of the Lord.
When Everything Broke, Part 1
2026/09/20
In this message from Genesis 3:1–24, Pastor Darrell explores the moment sin entered the human story and everything changed. We see how temptation causes us to question God’s goodness, how sin promises pleasure while hiding its price, and how our rebellion produces guilt, fear, broken relationships, and separation from God.
Designed for Life
2026/09/13
In Genesis 2, God gives us a closer look at His design for human life. Before sin entered the world, God established a rhythm of rest, created humanity for relationship with Himself, gave us meaningful work, established healthy boundaries, and declared that we were not meant to live alone. In this message from our In the Beginning series, we explore Genesis 2:1–25 and discover that many of the things we spend our lives searching for—identity, purpose, peace, belonging, and fulfillment—begin with understanding the One who created us. We don’t have to invent the good life. God has already shown us what we were designed for.
In the Beginning
2026/09/06
In this opening message from our In the Beginning series through Genesis, we consider what it means to put God at the center of our decisions, priorities, struggles, and purpose. When life becomes chaotic and we cannot see what God is doing, Genesis reminds us that disorder is not evidence of God’s absence. The Spirit of God was moving before the order of creation could be seen.
When the Foundations are Shaken
2026/08/23
What do we do when everything we thought was secure begins to shake? In Psalm 11, David faces danger, uncertainty, and the unsettling question: “If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?” (Psalm 11:3). His answer points us beyond our circumstances to an unchanging reality: God is still on His throne. In this episode, we explore how Psalm 11 teaches us to respond when life feels unstable. Rather than allowing fear to determine our actions, we can remember that God sees what we cannot see, His character has not changed, and He still calls us to faithful obedience. When relationships change, plans fall apart, institutions disappoint us, or the future seems uncertain, our calling remains the same: trust God and keep doing what is right.
The Test of Authentic Faith
2026/08/16
In the final chapter of 2 Corinthians, Paul turns the attention of the church inward with a challenging command: “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith” (2 Corinthians 13:5). Rather than simply questioning the faithfulness of others, every believer must be willing to take an honest look at his or her own heart. In this concluding message from our series through 2 Corinthians, we explore what genuine faith looks like, why loving correction and spiritual restoration matter, and how Christians can regularly examine their walk with God. We’ll also look back at five major lessons Paul has taught throughout this powerful letter—from finding God’s strength in our weakness to faithfully representing Christ as His ambassadors.
Strength in Weakness
2026/08/09
We often think God can use us best when we are strong, capable, and confident. But in 2 Corinthians 12, Paul reveals a surprising truth: some of God’s greatest work in our lives happens through our weakness. Paul had experienced extraordinary spiritual privileges, yet God allowed him to endure a painful “thorn in the flesh” that kept him humble and dependent. When Paul repeatedly asked for it to be removed, God’s answer was, “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9). In this message, we discover how God uses weakness to humble us, deepen our dependence on Him, refine our character, increase our compassion, and display the power of Christ through our lives. Sometimes God changes our circumstances. Other times, He gives us the grace to walk through them.
Winning the Invisible War
2026/07/19
Every believer is engaged in a battle—but it’s not the kind of battle we can see. In 2 Corinthians 10, the Apostle Paul reminds us that our greatest conflicts are fought in the mind and won through the power of God. The enemy seeks to build strongholds of fear, pride, bitterness, lies, and doubt, but God has given us spiritual weapons that are “mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.” In this message, we’ll discover how to: • Recognize the invisible battle taking place around us. • Identify the lies Satan uses to lead us into sin. • Take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. • Replace worldly thinking with biblical truth. • Find victory through God’s power rather than our own strength. Whether you’re struggling with temptation, discouragement, anxiety, or unhealthy thought patterns, this message offers practical, biblical encouragement for living victoriously in Christ.
The Grace That Overflows
2026/06/28
What does God really desire when we give? Is it the size of the gift, or the condition of the heart? In this message from 2 Corinthians 9:1-15, we discover that Christian generosity is far more than a financial transaction—it is an act of worship. The Apostle Paul teaches that God’s grace transforms giving from an obligation into a joyful response to His abundant provision. As we give willingly, God produces a spiritual harvest, meets the needs of others, fills hearts with thanksgiving, and ultimately receives the glory He deserves. Most importantly, Paul reminds us that every gift we offer is a reflection of the greatest gift ever given: Jesus Christ. The chapter concludes with one of the Bible’s most beautiful expressions of gratitude: “Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.” Whether you’re seeking to grow in stewardship, trust God more fully, or simply cultivate a heart of generosity, this message will encourage you to see giving through the lens of God’s amazing grace. In this episode you’ll discover: * Why God values a willing heart more than a reluctant gift. * How generosity becomes an act of faith and worship. * What it means to “sow” spiritually and reap an eternal harvest. * How God uses our giving to encourage others and glorify Himself. * Why Jesus Christ is God’s indescribable gift—and the ultimate motivation for Christian generosity.
The Father Who Came Running
2026/06/21
We often call it the Parable of the Prodigal Son, but the true focus of the story is the father. In one of Jesus’ most powerful parables, we see a father who allows freedom, never stops watching, runs toward the broken, restores the repentant, and extends love even to the self-righteous. This Father’s Day message reveals the heart of our Heavenly Father—a Father whose grace is greater than our failures and whose love pursues us even when we wander far from home. Whether you identify with the rebellious younger son, the resentful older brother, or a parent praying for a prodigal child, this message offers hope, restoration, and a fresh glimpse of God’s amazing love. Join us as we discover that no matter how far we’ve strayed, the Father is still watching the road, ready to welcome us home.
The Grace of Giving
2026/06/14
What does true generosity look like? In 2 Corinthians 8, Paul points believers to the churches of Macedonia—people who gave joyfully even in the midst of poverty and hardship. Their example reminds us that Christian giving is not primarily about money; it is about a heart that has been transformed by the grace of God. This message explores how God’s grace produces generosity, calls us to spiritual growth, and motivates us through the ultimate example of Jesus Christ, who “though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor” (2 Corinthians 8:9). We will also discover why surrender, faithfulness, and integrity are essential marks of a mature believer. Whether you struggle with surrender, stewardship, or simply desire to grow deeper in your walk with Christ, this passage challenges us to give God what He desires most—ourselves.
Godly Sorrow, Lasting Joy
2026/06/07
Nobody enjoys being corrected. Most of us would rather avoid uncomfortable conversations, ignore our faults, or simply move on from our mistakes. Yet in 2 Corinthians 7, the Apostle Paul shows us that some of God’s greatest blessings come through conviction, correction, and repentance. In this message, we explore the difference between worldly sorrow and godly sorrow. One leads to regret, bitterness, and spiritual death. The other leads to repentance, restoration, and lasting joy. Through Paul’s relationship with the Corinthian church, we discover how God uses correction to draw His people closer to Himself and how true repentance produces visible change in our lives. Join us as we examine: * The call to pursue holiness * Why we often resist correction * The difference between regret and repentance * The marks of genuine repentance * How God comforts the discouraged * The joy that comes from restored fellowship with God If you’ve ever struggled with guilt, conviction, or the challenge of admitting you’re wrong, this message offers hope and a pathway to restoration.
Authentic Christianity
2026/05/31
In 2 Corinthians 6, the Apostle Paul pulls back the curtain on real ministry and genuine faith. Instead of pointing to success, comfort, or popularity, Paul points to endurance, holiness, sacrifice, and wholehearted devotion to Christ. He reminds believers not to waste the grace of God, to remain faithful through trials, and to live as God’s distinct people in a world that constantly pressures them to compromise. In this message, we explore: * How to avoid receiving God’s grace in vain * Why genuine ministry often involves suffering and sacrifice * The marks of a heart transformed by Christ * What it means to be “unequally yoked” * How God calls His people to holiness without isolation * Why obedience matters most when it becomes difficult Whether you are facing opposition, temptation, discouragement, or simply trying to live faithfully in an increasingly hostile culture, this chapter offers both challenge and encouragement.
Living Between Two Worlds
2026/05/24
What does it mean to live as a Christian in a world that constantly pulls our hearts toward temporary things? In this message from 2 Corinthians chapter 5, we explore Paul’s powerful reminder that believers are citizens of another kingdom. Our earthly lives are temporary, but our eternal future in Christ is secure. Because of that, we are called to walk by faith, live to please Christ, and serve as faithful ambassadors for the Gospel. This sermon examines: * The danger of becoming too attached to this world * How fear quietly controls our decisions * The characteristics of a transformed life * What it means to walk by faith instead of sight * Ways Christians can misrepresent Christ before the world * The ministry of reconciliation entrusted to every believer As followers of Christ, we are living between two worlds—present in this life, but longing for the one to come. The question is not simply whether we claim Christ, but whether we faithfully represent Him while we are here.
Treasure in Jars of Clay (Part 2)
2026/05/17
How do Christians keep going when life is hard, the pressure does not let up, and faithfulness becomes costly? In the second half of this study through 2 Corinthians 4, Paul shifts our focus from weakness and suffering to endurance, resurrection hope, and eternal glory. Though believers may be afflicted outwardly, God is renewing them inwardly day by day. Through every hardship, God is teaching His people to live not for what is temporary, but for what is eternal. In this message, we examine: * How faith gives us courage to keep speaking about Christ * Why the resurrection changes how we endure suffering * Signs we are viewing hardship as personal inconvenience rather than God’s purpose * Practical ways to live with eternity in view * How present affliction prepares believers for eternal glory Paul reminds us that what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. When our eyes are fixed on Christ and eternity, suffering no longer has the final word.
