Still Rehearsing?
2026/09/12
You've been thinking about this idea for eight months. You tell yourself you're thinking it through.
You're not. You're rehearsing.
There's a short film running in your head of this going badly, and every replay makes it feel more true. This episode is about changing that film — not the plot, the picture quality. I'll walk you through the technique live, and it takes about ninety seconds.
And no, the answer isn't positive thinking. That one surprised me too.

Why You Keep Setting the Same Goal & What to do
2026/09/05
You've set the same goal more than once this year. Same plan, same energy, and it ended the same way. Not because you didn't want it enough.
In this episode I walk you through research that shows roughly half the people who firmly intend to do something never follow through — and why that means the intention was never your problem.
You'll hear:
The two ways people hold a goal in their head, and why only one of them survives a Tuesday eveningThe story of a client who'd invested in every method going and still couldn't make the change stick — and what we uncovered in our first sessionWhy nine hours in a corporate job quietly trains you to abandon your own goals by 6 PMThree questions to ask yourself before you set another goalThe one-sentence statement that replaces motivation

From Corporate to Entrepreneur with Milind Kanvinde
2026/08/29
Milind Kanvinde spent two decades inside corporate — project leader, project manager, programme management — before walking out in 2017 to build his own thing.
This episode isn't about the decision to leave. It's about the two years on either side of it.
Milind breaks down why running your idea "on the side" almost guarantees it stays on the side. The one hobby that quietly kept him afloat for a full year after he resigned. Why he stopped treating other people in his field as competition and what he did instead. And the single thing he'd tell every corporate professional to start doing five years before they plan to quit — the thing he didn't do, and paid for.
He's also a self-described introvert who had to build a network from absolute zero after twenty years of never needing one. He's honest about how uncomfortable that was and how long it actually took.
In this conversation:
(02:20) Twenty years in, and the question that wouldn't go away(06:56) What actually runs through your head before you hand in the notice(09:49) The culture shift nobody prepares you for(13:36) Running a job and a venture in parallel — practically(17:03) Why the network you build inside corporate isn't yours(23:41) If you're an introvert: break the barrier, don't change your nature(26:57) Collaboration over competition, and how he found his USP(30:22) His biggest personal challenge in the transition(32:53) Being your own boss without a boss(36:45) What coaching actually is — and isn't(39:45) Rapid fire

It's Not Laziness. It's Biology
2026/08/22
You get home from work. You'd promised yourself that tonight was the night — the side hustle, the gym, the thing you keep pushing to tomorrow.
And you don't do it.
Then the self-talk starts. Lazy. Undisciplined. Maybe you're not motivated enough!
Nothing is wrong with you. What happens to you at 6 PM isn't a character flaw — it's a resource running out. And once you know which one, you stop blaming yourself for the wrong problem entirely.
In this episode, I go past the diagnosis and into what I actually do about it: the first side hustle I built while working a full-time advertising job, the one belief that quietly kills most online businesses before they even start, and the three hygiene habits I've protected for years.
Fair warning: these may help you start working on your goals that you’ve been putting off!

21 Days to Build a Habit Is a Myth — The Real Number
2026/08/15
Somewhere right now, someone is on day 14 of building a habit and about to quit — because a number they read online told them they're already behind.
That number is fake. Here's where it actually came from.
In this episode, I break down how a 1960s plastic surgeon's casual observation became the self-help industry's most repeated myth, and what the real research says: a 2009 University College London study tracked 96 people forming new habits and found the minimum number of days it takes to form a new habit. And it's not 21 days!
If you're trying to build a side hustle around a full-time job, you should tune in! Not because you lack discipline. Because the math was never explained to you.
In this episode:— Where the 21-day number really came from (and why "minimum" got quietly deleted)— The actual research on habit formation, and why the range matters more than the average— Why willpower is the wrong tool: what happens in your brain when you white-knuckle a new habit— How I stopped relying on willpower to lose weight — and what changed— The Action-Able: how to budget your days & get your reps in

New episodes every Saturday. Hit follow so you don't miss the next one, where I break down my exact system for building automaticity — and why your willpower at 6 PM isn't a character flaw.
I Disappeared for 3 Months — Here's Why You Might Need To As Well
2026/08/08
Three months ago, I disappeared. No podcast, no content, no explanation. Just silence.
This episode is why.
I'm telling you where I went, what actually happened when I stopped running my business for the first time in nine years, and the moment that changed how I think about goals, momentum, and what "consistency" actually means. There's a line someone said to me on a dock that I still haven't shaken off — and it might change how you think about your own goals too.
If you've ever felt like you should keep pushing even when something's off, or wondered whether stopping means you're failing — listen to this one before you decide.

Still Waiting?
2026/03/14
In this special episode of the Action-Ables Podcast, Paden steps away from the usual coaching techniques and shares something far more personal — the real story behind nearly 7 years and 200 episodes of podcasting.
What began in 2019 as a small experiment amid low confidence, uncertainty, and self-doubt slowly grew into a journey of consistency, creativity, and personal transformation.
Paden opens up about the inner voice that tells us we’re not ready, the discouragement of creating content when no one seems to be listening, and the quiet power of staying consistent even when results don’t come quickly.
If you're thinking about starting something — a podcast, a side hustle, a creative project, or pursuing a bold life goal — this episode is a reminder that confidence doesn’t come before action. It comes because of it.
You’ll learn why the voice in your head isn’t always your best advisor, why contrast and challenges are part of the creative journey, and why persistence might be the most underrated skill for building anything meaningful.
After almost 200 episodes, Paden shares why this podcast is just getting started — and invites you to reflect on the goals you're still waiting to pursue.
In this episode, you'll discover:
Why the voice telling you you're "not ready" is often the biggest obstacle
The surprising role imagination played in starting the podcast
What happens when you create consistently without immediate results
Why contrast and challenges are essential for growth
The mindset shift that helps you stay committed to your biggest goals
If you’ve been waiting for the “right time” to begin something meaningful, this episode might be the nudge you need.

The Difficulty Illusion: Why You Don’t Start
2026/02/14
In this episode, we unpack one of the sneakiest psychological barriers standing between you and your goals: the fear that something will be “too difficult.”
Here’s the truth: your brain is wired for survival, not success. Anything unfamiliar feels like a potential threat. Long before you take action, your mind exaggerates how uncomfortable, exhausting, or overwhelming something will be.
Psychologists call this impact bias — our tendency to overestimate how painful or difficult a new experience will feel.
Most of the “difficulty” happens in your imagination.
Inside this episode, we explore:
Why your brain fears difficulty before you even begin
How procrastination disguises itself as preparation
The connection between perfectionism and avoidance
The identity stories you unconsciously tell yourself
The Goldilocks Effect and why your brain both resists and craves challenge
The psychology behind comparing your struggle to someone else’s highlight reel
And 5 practical, science-backed steps to stop letting fear run the show
You’ll learn why “hard” does not mean “impossible.”

How to Make More Time for Your Goals (Even with a Full Life)
2026/02/07
Are you constantly saying, “I just don’t have time”?In this episode of Action-Ables, Paden breaks down the real reasons we feel starved for time — and why it has less to do with your schedule and more to do with your beliefs, habits, fears, and identity.
Drawing from her 9+ years in the advertising grind, her coaching work, and insights from authors like Neale Donald Walsch and Eckhart Tolle, Paden uncovers the five hidden “time leaks” most people never question.
You’ll hear:
Why your job, chores, and family responsibilities aren’t the full story
How distractions (doomscrolling, binge-watching, low-value habits) quietly eat your day
The surprising way fear of failure keeps you “too busy”
The difference between clock time and psychological time
A simple Bob Proctor-inspired exercise to finally see where your time is going
And how to rebuild your identity so you show up as someone who creates space for what matters
This episode is equal parts practical and spiritual — and it will help you shift from “I wish I had time” to “I’m making time, intentionally.”
If you’re ready to stop repeating the same pattern every year and finally create space for your creative desires, this one is for you.

What Doomscrolling Does to Your Brain (And How to Break the Cycle
2026/01/24
You may have heard a lot about doomscrolling…, but very few people understand what it actually does to your brain.
I want to share the science behind why it feels so exhausting—and how to get your energy back.
If you’ve been feeling drained, overwhelmed, or weirdly low on motivation lately… you’re not imagining it.
In this episode, I open up about my run-in with doomscrolling and explain — in simple, human language — what actually happens inside your brain when you're constantly exposed to negative news and online chaos.
You’ll learn how stress chemicals, the amygdala, and your brain’s reward system team up (accidentally!) to sabotage your focus, energy, and momentum… and more importantly, how to gently take your power back.
Here's the breakdown:
• Why negativity bias makes your brain cling to bad news• How doomscrolling quietly drains your motivation and creativity• The neuroscience behind mental fatigue and decision burnout• Why your prefrontal cortex “shuts down” when stress is high• Simple, practical tweaks to lower cortisol and restore mental clarity• A mindset shift that helps you stay centered even when the world feels heavy
If you want to feel grounded, intentional, and mentally sharper — without pretending the world is perfect — this episode will give you clarity, comfort, and small doable steps to reset your mind.
And if you want to experience coaching around your goals, you can book a free coaching session here.
Tune in, take a breath, and let’s get you back to feeling centered again.
