This Quick Hitter dives into The Smashing Machine the new MMA biopic starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as legendary fighter Mark Kerr. It’s gritty, emotional, and more than just a fight movie it’s a hard look at what happens when being a machine starts breaking the man inside.

In Episode One, I talk about the first UFC event I ever attended — UFC 124. It was a lot of fun going down memory lane and reliving such an incredible night. It was a great card from start to finish, and I highly recommend checking out the main event — the energy in the building that night was absolutely electric.

I’m ready to get back in the swing of things and actually have fun with this podcast again. The passion had slipped a bit, but I’m excited to move forward and make Season 3 the best yet.

Regarding Jim Miller and the UFC Hall of Fame, I express my personal perspective. Regardless of my decision, Jim Miller has always been a thrilling fighter.

With Jon Jones returning to the UFC to fight Ciryl Gane for the heavyweight title at UFC 285, I discuss how I feel Curtis Blaydes is overlooked and may have been a better choice to have gotten the money fight with Jones.

For a wonderful podcast addressing this fantastic event, listen to The Unified Rules of Podcast Episode 43 - Bellator vs Rizin

With two legendary light heavyweight fighters in Tito Ortiz and Rampage Jackson, I bring a Season 2 of Dream Fights to a close. For some fight fans, including myself, this would have been a wonderful throwback match, but the dream will live on.
