THE LAMP HAS NOT YET GONE OUT | Eli, Samuel & the Voice of God, Pt. 2
2026/08/29
The lamp has NOT yet gone out. In 1 Samuel 3, Israel is facing a spiritual crisis. The Word of the Lord is rare, Eli’s leadership is declining, and yet—before the lamp goes out—God calls Samuel. This prophetic Bible teaching explores what happens when one season is fading while God is raising another voice. What if your fire feels low, but God is saying, “Not yet”? What if the failure of people around you cannot cancel what God placed inside you? What if you have been running to people for confirmation when God is trying to teach you how to recognize His voice for yourself? 🔥 ELI COULD NOT BLOCK SAMUEL. The failures of one generation could not cancel God’s purpose for the next. A broken system could not silence the voice of God. And when God called Samuel, everything changed when Samuel finally answered: “Speak, LORD; for thy servant heareth.” — 1 Samuel 3:9 In this message, Dr. Delisa Rodgers teaches from 1 Samuel 3:1–21 about: • Recognizing the voice of God • The significance of “the lamp…had not yet gone out” • Eli’s decline and Samuel’s emergence • Moving from secondhand revelation to personal encounter • Why another person’s failure cannot cancel your calling • Remaining positioned near the presence of God • Responding when God calls your name If your spiritual fire has been flickering, this message is for you. The lamp has not yet gone out. There is still fire. There is still purpose. There is still an assignment. 🔥 NOT YET. 📖 Key Scriptures: 1 Samuel 3:1–21; 1 Samuel 2:27–36 Subscribe for prophetic Bible teaching, spiritual development, biblical insight, and messages designed to help you recognize the voice and movement of God. #TheLampHasNotGoneOut #Samuel #Eli #PropheticTeaching #VoiceOfGod #BibleStudy #1Samuel3 #DrDelisaRodgers #PropheticWord #ChristianTeaching

When God Bypasses Eli: The Samuel Generation Is Rising
2026/08/28
What happens when the house of God is still functioning, but the voice of God has become rare? In this powerful Old Testament teaching from 1 Samuel 2–3, Dr. Delisa Rodgers examines the spiritual contrast between Eli, Samuel, and Shiloh. Eli remained in position, but compromise had weakened his spiritual leadership. Samuel, young and inexperienced, was positioned near the presence of God and learning to recognize the voice calling his name. This episode explores the danger of becoming a spectator of a move of God you once participated in, the cost of honoring relationships above obedience, and the sovereignty of God to raise a new voice even within a broken system. Eli’s failure could not cancel Samuel’s calling. A compromised priesthood could not silence God. And human gatekeepers could not prevent God from establishing the prophet He had chosen. The challenge is deeply personal: Are you merely recognizing God’s voice in others, or are you positioned to hear Him for yourself? It is time to move beyond secondhand revelation and answer the call: “Speak, LORD; for thy servant heareth.” — 1 Samuel 3:9 (KJV) Key Scriptures: 1 Samuel 2:22–30; 1 Samuel 3:1–21
The Generational Mutation of Trauma
2026/07/03
Why do some family patterns seem to repeat themselves from one generation to the next? Is it simply history repeating itself, or is something deeper taking place? In this episode, Apostle Dr. Delisa Rodgers explores the biblical story of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph through a trauma-informed and theologically grounded lens. Discover how unresolved grief, silence, fear, and emotional wounds can reshape family relationships across generations—even when the original crisis has long passed. Drawing from The Mountain, the Mother, and the Wound, Dr. Rodgers explains the concept of the generational mutation of trauma—a pastoral framework for understanding how unhealed pain can evolve into new relational struggles unless someone chooses healing. In this episode you'll discover: Why Mount Moriah changed more than one generation. What Scripture says—and does not say—about generational trauma. How Isaac, Rebekah, Jacob, and Joseph reveal different responses to unresolved pain. Why deliverance and emotional healing are not always the same experience. How Christ breaks destructive cycles and restores families. Whether you're a Bible student, ministry leader, counselor, or someone seeking emotional and spiritual healing, this teaching will help you read familiar passages with fresh insight and renewed hope. Survival is Not the Finish Line

The Emotionally Crowded Tent
2026/07/01
Genesis 24:67 (KJV) "And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah's tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife; and he loved her: and Isaac was comforted after his mother's death." One of the most overlooked details in all of Scripture is not simply that Isaac married Rebekah—it is where he brought her. The Bible does not say he built her a new home. It says he brought her into his mother's tent. Prophetically, this is more than geography. It is psychology. It is family systems. It is emotional inheritance. The Hebrew word translated comforted is נָחַם (nacham). It means to be consoled, to sigh deeply, to find relief after grief. Notice the order of the verse. Isaac marries. Then he is comforted. Marriage became the place where he sought relief from unresolved grief. That is a dangerous foundation for any covenant. God never intended your spouse to become your emotional healer in place of Him.
The Three Arenas of Restoration
2026/07/01
"The Lord is not merely calling His people back to the altar. He is calling them beyond the altar. He is healing the person who stood there, restoring the relationships that suffered because of what happened there, and redeeming the generations that inherited what was never healed there. What began as a place of sacrifice can become a place of restoration. The altar is healed. The tent is restored. The lineage is renewed. This is the work of the God who makes all things new." "And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten..." — Joel 2:25 (KJV)
The Pathway to Wholeness
2026/07/01
"He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds." — Psalm 147:3 "The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me... to bind up the brokenhearted..." — Isaiah 61:1 Many believers know how to survive, but far fewer know how to become whole. Survival is what your nervous system learned to do after pain. Wholeness is what the Holy Spirit invites you into after salvation. Those are not the same journey. Scripture repeatedly distinguishes between God's work of deliverance and His work of restoration. Israel came out of Egypt in one night, but it took years for Egypt to come out of Israel. Likewise, Abraham descended Mount Moriah in victory, yet Genesis continues with grief, loss, and relational consequences. The mountain was over, but the healing was not. This pathway represents that sacred journey.
The Cost We Never Preached
2026/07/01
"So Abraham returned unto his young men, and they rose up and went together to Beersheba; and Abraham dwelt at Beersheba." One of the most striking details in Genesis 22 is not what is written—it is what is missing. Abraham went up the mountain with Isaac. The text says Abraham came down. Sarah is never mentioned in the narrative. The ram appears. The covenant continues. The promise survives. But Scripture never records a conversation about what the mountain cost the family. That silence should make us pause.
Get Behind Me: When Love Sounds Like Warfare
2026/03/02
What if the most dangerous opposition to your destiny doesn’t come from enemies… but from people who love you? In this episode, Dr. Delisa Rodgers unpacks one of the most misunderstood and intense moments in Scripture — when Jesus turned to Peter and said: “Get thee behind me, Satan.” — Matthew 16:23 (KJV) Why would Jesus call His closest disciple Satan? Was Peter possessed? Rebuked? Rejected? Or was something deeper happening? This episode explores the psychological, spiritual, and warfare dimensions of that confrontation. We examine how suggestion can function as strategy, how fear can masquerade as protection, and how even spiritually mature voices can unintentionally resist divine timing. You will discover: • Why the cross was the real target • How warfare often sounds reasonable • The difference between identity and alignment • Why Jesus corrected sharply but restored fully • How to discern when a voice is speaking from heaven — or from human emotion We also connect this moment to the wilderness temptation in Matthew 4 and explore how consistent spiritual strategies attempt to detour purpose rather than destroy it. This is not about labeling people as devils. It is about recognizing adversarial alignment. If you are navigating leadership, calling, relationships, or moments where obedience costs more than comfort, this episode will sharpen your discernment and strengthen your resolve. Because sometimes “Get behind me” is not rejection. It is repositioning. 🎧 Subscribe to Rooted and Rising for weekly conversations that merge Scripture, psychology, leadership, and spiritual authority. www.delisarodgers.com
Heaven’s Keys vs. Hell’s Systems
2026/03/01
What did Jesus really mean when He said, “the gates of hell shall not prevail against it”? In this powerful episode, Dr. Delisa Rodgers unpacks the governmental, prophetic, and warfare dimensions of Matthew 16:18 and reveals why the Church was never designed to be on defense. Gates represent systems. Authority. Organized strategy. And when Jesus declared that the gates of hell would not prevail, He was announcing that structured darkness would never overpower authorized light. In this teaching, you will discover: • The historical and spiritual meaning of “gates” in biblical culture • Why gates are defensive structures and what that says about the Church • The difference between demonic activity and demonic systems • How to recognize when resistance is proof of advancement • Why Heaven gave you keys, not fear This episode will awaken boldness, dismantle intimidation, and reposition you as a Kingdom advancer. THE WARFARE OF PERSISTENT INTERCESSION: WHEN PRAYER BECOMES A WEAPON
2026/02/27
There's a divine assignment on your life that the enemy is desperately trying to abort. Those names that burn in your heart, those faces that won't leave your mind, those family members who seem to be getting worse instead of better - THAT'S NOT COINCIDENCE, THAT'S CALLING! God has strategically positioned you as a watchman on the wall, as a warrior in the prayer closet, as an agent of heaven's intervention in the lives of those He's placed upon your heart. But here's what the enemy doesn't want you to know: When things appear to be getting WORSE after you've been praying, that's not a sign that your prayers aren't working - THAT'S CONFIRMATION THAT THEY ARE!
Warfare Ethics in the Kingdom, Pt 1 of 2
2026/02/27
What happens when righteousness collides with real warfare? In this prophetic and intellectually grounded teaching series, Dr. Delisa Rodgers unpacks one of Scripture’s most controversial questions: Why did God honor Rahab if she lied? Through a Hebraic lens, this series explores covenant allegiance, righteous strategy, spiritual intelligence, and the ethics of disclosure in hostile environments. You will discover the difference between manipulation and discernment, transparency and overexposure, loyalty to systems and loyalty to God. This is not a lesson in deception; it is a masterclass in covenant alignment during conflict. Using Joshua 2, Hebrews 11:31, Matthew 7:6, and other key texts, Dr. Delisa breaks down: • Wartime vs peacetime ethics in the Kingdom • Why allegiance determines strategy • How God weighs motive before method • When silence is spiritual wisdom • The prophetic meaning of the scarlet cord • How leaders protect assignments without compromising integrity If you are navigating opposition, leadership pressure, hostile systems, or spiritual resistance, this series will sharpen your discernment and fortify your confidence. The Kingdom is righteous, but it is not naïve. Listen in, align your allegiance, and learn how covenant intelligence protects what God has marked. Get this resource from the Teaching Vault.
THE DIVINE EXCHANGE: TRADING YOUR WEARINESS FOR HIS REST
2026/02/27
There's a divine invitation echoing through the corridors of heaven right now - Jesus Himself is calling out to every weary soul, every tired heart, every person who's been laboring under the weight of this world. He said, "Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." But here's the prophetic tension I need you to understand: You want the REST, but you won't make the MOVE!
