We are back for another year of Australia's first, and only Flyfishing beef podcast for 2026 !! What a cracker we have for the first one of the year. Kurt Rowlands now the owner of the longest running Saltwater Fly Fishing operations in Australia located in one of the countries flyfishing meccas joins us on the show. After an epic 30 odd hours of travel, the boys arrived in a whole new world of landscape, culture and wildlife to have an opportunity to catch the rarest Permit in the world, Trachinotus Africanus. We open up 2025 with our new direction and are honoured to have our friend of the show and host of the Rhum Lines Podcast, the great Dave Bradley interview his good friend and highly accomplished angler Micah Adams. We asked Dave to describe Micah -  Micah Adams is one of Australia’s most published and probably broadcast fishing writers and presenters. If you have him on your boat he’s also an “A” list angler with almost any tackle. His travel destination and species list is also something to aspire to.. On this episode.. 2 Trout Guides and 1 Queenslander... We are joined by Shane Wakker of Baw Baw Flyfisher, and Jimmy Barwick of Snowy Valley Flyfishing. Both of these guys fish wild bodies of water, but both have a very different situation to chase Trout. The fact of the matter is that we at the Intermediate line simply don't have the experience to provide a technical show about Trout so we got 2 dudes on who know their stuff to do the heavy lifting for that aspect of the show.  On the show, we talk about a range of topics from the different ways to catch trout ( Dries, Nymphing, Streamers), rods, casting, lines as well as a bit of a deep dive on fly terminology. Wes is an experienced fly fisherman who has savoured some of the world’s great sight fishing targets and Australia’s iconic fisheries .Wes gets out most weekends and in fact joins us from a caravan park somewhere to talk about the value that this fishery offers and how he goes about it. Wes  loves his flyfishing more than most, he is a pragmatic fly fisho and I think this shows through in the podcast.
