Well folks its been fun... 8 years since we started. We made some friends, and we pissed off some friends for reasons we will never understand....Over the 8 years on the show, we have had some of the best of the best (Anglers, tackle manufacturers, fly tyers) in the world and some people who turned out to be horrible 2 faced people that we regret giving time to.... but ultimately, getting you connected and sinking your dentition into the beef while keeping our feet firmly planted on the benthic strata has been an experience that has often seen us "arksking" ourselves why we do it, and the answer has always resoundingly been, to share the love and the betterment of the sport with humility and without ego or politics, based on our own very real experiences that spans now almost 60 years between the 2 hosts. For the most part, we have thoroughly enjoyed our experience, and we hope that we have left you with a new approach to Fly Fishing that involves curiosity, ethics, motivation, a focus on the fishing and an awareness of who the real deal is in this game that can take up so much of your time and money.. but its rewards are priceless.   That is all.

It is with great pleasure that we present Nick Benik on episode 209 of the Intermediate Line Podcast. Nick is a an exceptional fly tyer who hails from Denver Colorado and who's artistic finishes and quality fly / fishing photography often outshines the fact that Nick is primarily a functionally exceptionally tyer as well. On this episode, we highlight a once in a lifetime experience for host Chris and guest co host Steve Kirkham who both recently returned from an epic trip to Hasik, which is located in Oman. After an epic 30 odd hours of travel, the boys arrived in a whole new world of landscape, culture and wildlife to have an opportunity to catch the rarest Permit in the world, Trachinotus Africanus. Hosted by the legendary Clare Carter (owner of Arabian Sport Fishing) and head guide Wesley Rapson, Chris and Steve were treated to a truly "excellent adventure". We open up 2025 with our new direction and are honoured to have our friend of the show and host of the Rhum Lines Podcast, the great Dave Bradley interview his good friend and highly accomplished angler Micah Adams. We asked Dave to describe Micah -  Micah Adams is one of Australia’s most published and probably broadcast fishing writers and presenters. If you have him on your boat he’s also an “A” list angler with almost any tackle. His travel destination and species list is also something to aspire to.. With more than 20 years of fishing together these guys have some stories to get through.. We hope you enjoy the show as much as we have.
