Revd. Keith Jackson explains how we need to trust God and let him take control of our journey through life.

Revd Graham Coldman recaps the themes of “Page 1” expanding the significance of the number seven in creation and across scripture generally. Genesis 2:4-14 (“Page 2”) takes a different perspective of the creation story. Focusing on the four streams (Gen 2:10-14), the rivers flow from Eden in all directions, even into the land of the Hebrews’ enemies, bringing life to all, enemies included.

Revd Graham Coldman explores the creation story Genesis 1:1 – 2:3 (“Page 1”) and gave us three words that help us understand its key themes. 1 Cosmos – understanding the cosmology of the time. 2 Word – God spoke and it came into being. 3 Image – We are made in God’s image. In the culture of that time, Kings and rulers were considered to be "in the image of God" and ordinary people served them. We are all made in the image of God and co-rulers with Him!

Steve Burt takes us through Numbers 23 v 1-12, showing how God protects us from those who wish to do us harm

James Reeves takes us through Revelation 5 v 5-6, showing gentleness with truth and being the lion as the lamb.

Debbie works with the children in an all-age service to discover the main message of Ruth - redemption - being bought-out from a hopeless situation and given ultimate hope and security for the future. The story of Ruth expresses God's total commitment to you, how Jesus paid the ultimate price for you, how he adopted you into his family and made you a child of God. Is God calling you to commit or re-commit yourself to someone or a group that needs you?

Revd Ian discusses true spiritual worship - what we bring and why.  Worship is both personal (private 1-to-1 time with Him) collective (whenever we meet together) and in serving Him and others with our skills and abilities.  We are challenged to worship in both words and actions! We are called to worship with our souls (deepest, innermost parts - emotions and feelings) our minds (thinking and intellect) and our bodies (physical being).

Paul shares how after Abram and Lot went their separate ways, Lot pitched his tent outside Sodom, It wasn't long before Lot had moved his tent inside Sodom and after that swapped his tent for a house - he had become comfortable in a place that was outside of God's will. We are challenged to review our own situation - have you become comfortable and complacent, but outside of God's will? Are you open to be corrected or have you hardened your heart?

Kevin discusses the transient nature of life on earth and compares it with the eternal life for those who have received salvation through Christ’s work on the cross.  We are challenged to reflect on the transformation that God brings about in those who are already living in eternity, and our role in allowing that transformation to take place.
