Mike is out this week but we still want to feature an extra special guy for valentine's day…Snoopy! Looking for the perfect valentine? Well do we got the guy for you! Snoopy is a 4 year old brown and white pittie mix that’s 60 pounds of lovable. He’s had some heartbreak in his life and got those big sad eyes to rope you in. Snoopy has a laid back personality but would love to go on long romantic walks with you anytime. He has been at the shelter looking for love for the past 98 days. We have adopted out 564 of the 565 pets talked about on the show! The shelter’s valentines adoption special continues through this Saturday February 17th. Right now all dogs over 6 months are just $14 and they still receive all their normal vetting including their shots, spay/neuter and microchip. This week we JoJo, a sweet pooch who has been waiting for his furever home since before Christmas. Since 2017 we have featured 560 pets and helped 564 find new furever homes! The shelter is holding their very popular Sweet Hear Event, February 13th and 14th ONLY. Each couple gets 20 minutes to themselves in the shelters Valentine’s Day room with cute puppies to play with and love along with a treat for you and your loved one to enjoy. You can enter for a chance to take part in this event between February 6-10, but hurry spots are limited. Enter by stopping by the shelter or calling and asking to speak with Marada. Please note any entries paid by card are subject to a $3 service fee, and all entries are non-refundable. Winners will be announced by the shelter on Facebook live at 4pm Saturday February 10th. Winners should then call the shelter to schedule their time spot. Limit one time slot per couple. The Hardin County Animal Shelter is holding their 7th Annual Howliday Special November 15th through December 20th.  They have partnered with Benchmark Family Services to help bring the foster kids in their care a brighter holiday while also trying to get shelter pets into forever homes. The shelter is offering half off all adult dog adoptions when you bring in a new children's toy or gift card valued at least $20. With your donation, dog adoptions are FREE! They will still receive their normal vetting including their spay or neuter and microchip. In order to receive this discount, you must donate a gift of at least $20. Toys are nice for the younger kids and gift cards are appreciated for the older kids so they can pick a gift they would enjoy. We have adopted out 545 of the 550 pets talked about Wren is a 3 year old spayed female that is grey brindle and white with big pointy ears.She loves people and has good manners but is looking for a calm home to relax.Wren has been at the shelter for 6 weeks already and is hoping for a home by the holidays. Speaking of the holidays the shelter is having their 7th annual Howliday Gift Drive Special.Each year they collect toys and gift cards for the children of Benchmark Family Services and in return adopters get ½ off the adoption fees of all adult dogs. Now this week the shelter is running a Black Friday Special on top of that so anyone that brings in a new children’s toy or gift card valued around 20 dollars will have the adoption fee on the adult dogs waived entirely.The pets are still receiving all their normal vetting and the shelter is super full with around 120 dogs in care.If you don’t have room for another furry family member at this time but would like to donate to the gift drive you are welcome to do so. Helping Hands of Hope and Paws Shelter Foundation have partnered to open a food pantry with the mission to provide pet food to the pets in Hardin County with emergency needs.
