Day Three: Land, Seas, and Trees | Pastor Andrew Coleman | 10/4/2026
2026/10/05
We continue our series in Genesis, The God of Everything. In this sermon, Pastor Andrew preaches on Genesis 1:9-13, examining the third day of creation as God gathers the waters, causes dry land to appear, and fills the earth with vegetation. The passage reveals God’s absolute authority over creation as He establishes boundaries, names the great realms of the earth, and commands the land to produce vegetation according to its kinds. God sees His work and declares it good. Genesis 1:9-13 also reveals the wisdom, goodness, and provision of God. The earth is prepared for the creatures and humanity that will follow, with food and vegetation provided according to God’s design. The order of creation demonstrates that God purposefully prepares His world and provides for His creatures, giving reason for confidence in His wisdom and care. As Psalm 33:9 declares, “For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm.” ________________________________________ Links to Sermon Notes & Answers: ➤Sermon Notes (Blank): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_47559d69253f4d8ebf200c34e4b48122.pdf ➤Sermon Notes (Answers): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_ceebecb72cf2445595cf3aa03c08d586.pdf ________________________________________ Subscribe to this channel to catch weekly expositional sermons from the Bible. ________________________________________ Explore more sermons and information: https://www.sheridanhills.org/watch-new ________________________________________ Follow us: ➤Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sheridanhills/ ➤Twitter: https://twitter.com/sheridanhills01 ➤Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sheridanhills/
Day Two: Preparing for Life | Genesis 1:6–8 | Pastor Andrew Coleman | 09/27/26
2026/09/28
We continue our series in Genesis, The God of Everything. In this sermon, Pastor Andrew preaches on Genesis 1:6-8, examining the second day of creation and God's work of separating the waters and establishing the expanse. The passage reveals the purposeful order of God's creative work. God speaks, creation obeys, and God names what He has made because everything belongs to Him. Genesis 1:6-8 also provides a clear picture of the authority and reliability of God's Word. His commands bring about exactly what He purposes, demonstrating that creation exists under His sovereign rule. The God who speaks, separates, names, and prepares the world for life is the same God who speaks to His people, calls them by name, and redeems them. ________________________________________ Links to Sermon Notes & Answers: ➤Sermon Notes (Blank): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_fc882a53b6964fdabc9c1c3f2f59d0bc.pdf ➤Sermon Notes (Answers): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_be4c6306b2c14325a85332eebb04584f.pdf ________________________________________ Subscribe to this channel to catch weekly expositional sermons from the Bible. ________________________________________ Explore more sermons and information: https://www.sheridanhills.org/watch-new ________________________________________ Follow us: ➤Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sheridanhills/ ➤Twitter: https://twitter.com/sheridanhills01 ➤Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sheridanhills/

Day One: Let There Be Light | Genesis 1:3-5 | Pastor Andrew Coleman | 09/13/2026
2026/09/13
We continue our series in Genesis, The God of Everything. In this sermon, Pastor Andrew preaches on Genesis 1:3-5, examining the first day of creation and God's command, “Let there be light.” God creates by His Word, bringing light into existence and separating it from darkness. The passage reveals God's authority over creation, His purposeful ordering of all things, and the goodness of everything He makes. The light of Genesis 1 also points beyond physical creation to the glory of God and the person of Jesus Christ, the Word through whom all things were made. Jesus declares, “I am the light of the world,” connecting the light of creation with the light that brings life and salvation. Genesis 1:3-5 ultimately directs our confidence away from created things and toward the Creator, whose Word brings both creation and redemption into being. ________________________________________ Links to Sermon Notes & Answers: ➤Sermon Notes (Blank): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_726dd4a7d37944e48256f637382220a6.pdf ➤Sermon Notes (Answers): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_9e60e58ed6314c06bc450402aea5eee2.pdf ________________________________________ In this video: Review of previous sermons in series Main Points Application ________________________________________ Subscribe to this channel to catch weekly expositional sermons from the Bible. ________________________________________ Explore more sermons and information: https://www.sheridanhills.org/watch-new ________________________________________ Follow us: ➤Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sheridanhills/ ➤Twitter: https://twitter.com/sheridanhills01 ➤Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sheridanhills/
Creation Begins -- The Setting | Genesis 1:1-2 | Pastor Andrew Coleman | 09/06/2026
2026/09/07
We continue our series in Genesis, *The God of Everything*. In this sermon, Pastor Andrew preaches on Genesis 1:1-2, examining the opening words of Scripture and what they reveal about God as the Creator of all things. Genesis begins with God, who existed before the created order and brought the heavens and the earth into existence. The passage establishes the foundation for a biblical understanding of creation, God's sovereignty, and the relationship between the Creator and His creation. Pastor Andrew also examines the condition of the earth in Genesis 1:2 and the work of the Spirit of God hovering over the waters. These opening verses introduce God's power to bring order, life, and purpose to His creation and establish foundational truths that shape the rest of Scripture. The God who created all things is sovereign over all things, and His creative work points us to His wisdom, power, and glory. ________________________________________ Links to Sermon Notes & Answers: ➤Sermon Notes (Blank): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_7bf3f7251ce748e8bc7299f5b8c71d30.pdf ➤Sermon Notes (Answers): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_7eb66b10171c414ea33070bf067d7b54.pdf ________________________________________ In this video: Review of previous sermons in series Main Points Application ________________________________________ Subscribe to this channel to catch weekly expositional sermons from the Bible. ________________________________________ Explore more sermons and information: https://www.sheridanhills.org/watch-new ________________________________________ Follow us: ➤Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sheridanhills/ ➤Twitter: https://twitter.com/sheridanhills01 ➤Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sheridanhills/
God The Creator | Genesis 1:1 | Pastor Andrew Coleman | 08/30/26
2026/08/31
“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” Genesis 1:1 establishes the foundational truth of Scripture: God is the Creator of everything that exists. Genesis 1 presents the creation of the heavens and the earth, showing God's sovereign authority over all creation and establishing the fundamental distinction between the Creator and His creation. The account of creation also reveals the orderly work of God as He forms and fills the world, culminating in the creation of mankind. The truth that God created everything has profound implications for how we understand the world and our place within it. Creation belongs to God because He made it, and humanity exists under His authority as His creation. Hebrews 11:3 and John 1:3 reinforce the testimony of Genesis, pointing to God's creative power and identifying Jesus Christ as the One through whom all things were made. Genesis 1 ultimately directs our attention to the God of everything, who not only gives physical life through creation but also gives spiritual life through the new birth. ________________________________________ Links to Sermon Notes & Answers: ➤Sermon Notes (Blank): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_d38b5850d5024e64b1ba7d4f8147b2cf.pdf ➤Sermon Notes (Answers): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_3d607aa8fd1c4a8d86165c7a1bb75b95.pdf ________________________________________ In this video: Review of previous sermons in series Main Points Application ________________________________________ Subscribe to this channel to catch weekly expositional sermons from the Bible. ________________________________________ Explore more sermons and information: https://www.sheridanhills.org/watch-new ________________________________________ Follow us: ➤Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sheridanhills/ ➤Twitter: https://twitter.com/sheridanhills01 ➤Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sheridanhills/
In the Beginning, God... | Genesis 1:1 | Pastor Andrew Coleman | 08/23/26
2026/08/24
In this sermon on Genesis 1:1, “In the beginning, God," Pastor Andrew shows how Genesis shapes our entire understanding of the Spiritual Universe. Genesis 1:1 establishes the foundation for understanding everything that follows in Scripture. Genesis 1-11 introduces the Creator, creation, humanity, sin, death, judgment, grace, and God's unfolding plan of redemption. The opening chapters of Genesis also establish the biblical worldview by identifying God as the eternal Creator who existed before time, matter, space, and everything within the created order. The distinction between Creator and creation shapes the entire Christian understanding of reality. Genesis points beyond the physical universe to the God who created it, while the rest of Scripture directs our attention toward knowing Him, worshiping Him, and understanding His work of salvation. John 1 and Colossians 1 further reveal that all things were created through the Son, who entered His creation in order to redeem it, giving Genesis 1:1 a profound connection to the person and work of Jesus Christ. ________________________________________ Links to Sermon Notes & Answers: ➤Sermon Notes (Blank): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_bb619a67386b4ebebc3337d03686a23b.pdf ➤Sermon Notes (Answers): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_dfe1662532ab497a9057255a02d5db6c.pdf ________________________________________ In this video: Review of previous sermons in series Main Points Application ________________________________________ Subscribe to this channel to catch weekly expositional sermons from the Bible. ________________________________________ Explore more sermons and information: https://www.sheridanhills.org/watch-new ________________________________________ Follow us: ➤Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sheridanhills/ ➤Twitter: https://twitter.com/sheridanhills01 ➤Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sheridanhills/
Genesis 1-11: The God of Everything | Hebrews 11:3 | Pastor Andrew Coleman | 08/16/2026
2026/08/17
Genesis 1-11 provides the foundation for understanding the world, humanity, and the story of redemption. Beginning with the declaration that “In the beginning, God,” these chapters answer fundamental questions about creation, human identity, marriage, morality, sin, death, judgment, grace, and the nations. Hebrews 11:3 reminds us that faith enables us to understand the world as God's creation, receiving the testimony of the One who was there from the beginning. Genesis also explains why the world is simultaneously magnificent and broken. From creation and the fall to the flood and the Tower of Babel, Genesis 1-11 traces the consequences of humanity's rebellion while revealing God's continuing purpose of redemption. The promise of Genesis 3:15 points forward to Jesus Christ, through whom creation will ultimately be redeemed and restored. As John 1 reveals, the Word through whom all things were made entered the world as the true light, bringing life and hope to humanity. ________________________________________ Links to Sermon Notes & Answers: ➤Sermon Notes (Blank): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_c78e15d70c814c97ac6127ef9034c084.pdf ➤Sermon Notes (Answers): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_f0417baa722e4704811522aa1e362fe8.pdf ________________________________________ In this video: Review of previous sermons in series Main Points Application ________________________________________ Subscribe to this channel to catch weekly expositional sermons from the Bible. ________________________________________ Explore more sermons and information: https://www.sheridanhills.org/watch-new ________________________________________ Follow us: ➤Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sheridanhills/ ➤Twitter: https://twitter.com/sheridanhills01 ➤Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sheridanhills/
What Does It Mean to Serve the LORD? | Joshua 24:15 | Pastor Andrew Coleman | 08/09/2026
2026/08/09
What does it mean to serve the Lord? In Joshua 24, Joshua calls Israel to make a decisive commitment to Yahweh, warning them against divided loyalties and calling them to serve the Lord with sincerity and faithfulness. Serving God begins with recognizing Jesus Christ as Lord, submitting to His authority, turning from sin, and giving Him the allegiance that belongs to Him alone. Following Jesus also means learning from Him as Teacher, following Him as Shepherd, serving Him as Master, and reflecting His servant-hearted example. Christian service extends to serving God's people with the gifts He has given, while maintaining an attitude of reverence, faithfulness, zeal, and gladness. Mark 10:45 provides the model for Christian service: Jesus came to serve and to give His life as a ransom for many. ________________________________________ Links to Sermon Notes & Answers: ➤Sermon Notes (Blank): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_0990b528250e481eb0b1c535bf86b694.pdf ➤Sermon Notes (Answers): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_0d9b333d2e80400099076f75eae7f2ec.pdf ________________________________________ In this video: Review of previous sermons in series Main Points Application ________________________________________ Subscribe to this channel to catch weekly expositional sermons from the Bible. ________________________________________ Explore more sermons and information: https://www.sheridanhills.org/watch-new ________________________________________ Follow us: ➤Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sheridanhills/ ➤Twitter: https://twitter.com/sheridanhills01 ➤Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sheridanhills/
Identity: What is Man? | Genesis 3:1-5 | John Rabe | 08/02/2026
2026/08/03
What does it mean to be human? In a culture that encourages people to define themselves by their feelings, Scripture points to a very different foundation. Genesis 1-3 reveals that our identity is rooted in being created in the image of God. Careful study of these chapters answers life's deepest questions about purpose, value, morality, and meaning while exposing the false promises of expressive individualism. Genesis also provides a biblical framework for understanding personhood, gender, human dignity, and the effects of sin on our identity. Rather than looking inward for truth, God's Word directs us to the Creator, who alone defines who we are and why we exist. The gospel then reveals how Jesus Christ restores what sin has broken and enables us to live according to God's design. ________________________________________ Links to Sermon Notes & Answers: ➤Sermon Notes (Blank): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_998e22cca6944b04a78bea26618de07c.pdf ➤Sermon Notes (Answers): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_d4eb1d13dc684a0c9d868f5830440746.pdf ________________________________________ In this video: Review of previous sermons in series Main Points Application ________________________________________ Subscribe to this channel to catch weekly expositional sermons from the Bible. ________________________________________ Explore more sermons and information: https://www.sheridanhills.org/watch-new ________________________________________ Follow us: ➤Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sheridanhills/ ➤Twitter: https://twitter.com/sheridanhills01 ➤Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sheridanhills/
Christ’s Perfect Patience with Paul | 1 Timothy 1:12-17 | Pastor Benjamin Nistor | 07/19/2026
2026/07/20
In this message from 1 Timothy 1:12-17, we examine the remarkable testimony of the Apostle Paul and discover how Christ's perfect patience is displayed through His saving grace. From persecuting the church to proclaiming the gospel, Paul's life reminds us that no one is beyond the reach of God's mercy. His testimony is not ultimately about his past, but about the greatness of the Savior who transformed him. This sermon explores the biblical pattern of remembering and declaring God's mighty works, from the Old Testament to the New Testament, and shows why every Christian has a story worth telling. Paul's testimony begins with thanksgiving, briefly acknowledges his former life, magnifies God's mercy, grace, and patience, and ends in joyful praise. His example encourages every believer to use their own testimony to point others to Christ, demonstrating that Jesus still saves sinners and receives all the honor and glory forever. ________________________________________ Links to Sermon Notes & Answers: ➤Sermon Notes (Blank): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_e0531b74fcb8428d9c56ed99ad427cbf.pdf ➤Sermon Notes (Answers): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_9a30abf7395a4a1a88e19bac01aaed20.pdf ________________________________________ In this video: Review of previous sermons in series Main Points Application ________________________________________ Subscribe to this channel to catch weekly expositional sermons from the Bible. ________________________________________ Explore more sermons and information: https://www.sheridanhills.org/watch-new ________________________________________ Follow us: ➤Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sheridanhills/ ➤Twitter: https://twitter.com/sheridanhills01 ➤Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sheridanhills/
God’s Grace Through Relationships | 1 Peter 5:12–14 | Pastor Andrew Coleman | 07/12/2026
2026/07/13
As Peter closes his first letter, he leaves more than a few personal greetings. He reminds us that God's grace is often experienced through faithful relationships within the body of Christ. From the faithfulness of Silvanus (Silas) and the restored ministry of Mark to the love shared among believers, these final verses point us to the true grace of God that enables Christians to stand firm together. In this message, Pastor Andrew Coleman concludes our study through 1 Peter by exploring the importance of faithful friendships, the unity of Christ's church, the perseverance of believers, and the hope found in God's grace. As followers of Christ, we are called to endure suffering, serve faithfully, encourage one another, and stand firm in the gospel until the Lord returns. ________________________________________ Links to Sermon Notes & Answers: ➤Sermon Notes (Blank): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_49a91f2679f445efa17ce3111a9b201d.pdf ➤Sermon Notes (Answers): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_06d76be3f03c428c8cc5cdcdf42faeb5.pdf ________________________________________ In this video: Review of previous sermons in series Main Points Application ________________________________________ Subscribe to this channel to catch weekly expositional sermons from the Bible. ________________________________________ Explore more sermons and information: https://www.sheridanhills.org/watch-new ________________________________________ Follow us: ➤Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sheridanhills/ ➤Twitter: https://twitter.com/sheridanhills01 ➤Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sheridanhills/
The Meaning of Liberty | John 8:36 | Pastor Andrew Coleman | 07/05/2026
2026/07/06
In a fallen world where power often leads to corruption and tyranny, the Bible reveals that the real problem is sin corrupting the human heart. Pastor Andrew Coleman teaches from John 8:36 that our deepest need is not political or social reform alone, but the true liberty that only Christ can bring. The sermon contrasts the bondage of sin, marked by injustice, oppression, and death, with the freedom Jesus offers, as proclaimed in Luke 4 when He declared His mission to set captives free. It emphasizes how the Gospel addresses the root issue of the heart, drawing from passages like Jeremiah 17:9, Mark 7, and Galatians 5 to show that real freedom comes through abiding in Christ's truth. John 8:36 explains that those set free by the Son are liberated from slavery to sin and empowered by the Holy Spirit to live holy lives, serve others in love, and bear the fruit of the Spirit instead of the works of the flesh. It highlights how all lasting liberty in society flows from the influence of the Gospel, calling listeners to come to Christ for salvation and restoration while praying for spiritual awakening. ________________________________________ Links to Sermon Notes & Answers: ➤Sermon Notes (Blank): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_078e59cc01f84b29a12bd8bf13417f6b.pdf ➤Sermon Notes (Answers): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_a279ea88eeaf4e32bdcd972604d80a9d.pdf ________________________________________ In this video: Review of previous sermons in series Main Points Application ________________________________________ Subscribe to this channel to catch weekly expositional sermons from the Bible. ________________________________________ Explore more sermons and information: https://www.sheridanhills.org/watch-new ________________________________________ Follow us: ➤Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sheridanhills/ ➤Twitter: https://twitter.com/sheridanhills01 ➤Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sheridanhills/
The Light at the End of the Tunnel | 1 Peter 5:10-11 | Pastor Andrew Coleman | 06/28/2026
2026/06/29
In this message from 1 Peter 5:10-11, we see one of the Bible's greatest promises of hope for suffering believers. Peter reminds us that while suffering is a real part of the Christian life, it is never the end of the story. Our trials are temporary when viewed in light of the eternal glory God has prepared for His people. This sermon explores how Christians can endure hardship with confidence by fixing their eyes on the God of all grace. He is faithful to complete the work He has begun, restoring, confirming, strengthening, and establishing His people through Christ. Peter encourages us to live with an eternal perspective, trusting that God is at work even in our darkest moments and that His promises will ultimately lead to complete restoration. The result is a life filled with hope, perseverance, and worship as we give glory to the One whose dominion is forever and ever. ________________________________________ Links to Sermon Notes & Answers: ➤Sermon Notes (Blank): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_195148ce4e9540acb2010707aee189e3.pdf ➤Sermon Notes (Answers): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_bfb4a931f3ba456ba58bd744abcc3302.pdf ________________________________________ In this video: Review of previous sermons in series Main Points Application ________________________________________ Subscribe to this channel to catch weekly expositional sermons from the Bible. ________________________________________ Explore more sermons and information: https://www.sheridanhills.org/watch-new ________________________________________ Follow us: ➤Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sheridanhills/ ➤Twitter: https://twitter.com/sheridanhills01 ➤Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sheridanhills/
Jesus is Better | Pastor Ben Nistor | Hebrews 1:1–4 | 06/21/2026
2026/06/22
Hebrews opens with the declaration that God has spoken. Throughout the Old Testament, He revealed Himself through prophets, visions, dreams, signs, and many other means. Yet all of those revelations pointed forward to something greater. In these last days, God has spoken finally and fully through His Son, Jesus Christ. The message of Hebrews is clear: when believers face suffering, pressure, discouragement, or temptation to drift away, they must remember that Jesus is better than every person, system, promise, and shadow that came before Him. Hebrews 1 focuses on the supremacy of Christ. Jesus is the heir of all things, the Creator of the world, the radiance of God's glory, the exact representation of His nature, the sustainer of the universe, the purifier of sins, the risen King seated at God's right hand, and superior even to the angels. Because Jesus is better, believers are called to persevere in faith, hold fast to the gospel, pursue holiness, worship God with reverence, and endure faithfully no matter the cost. ________________________________________ Links to Sermon Notes & Answers: ➤Sermon Notes (Blank): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_458e6e50a70e4c8abbeee4d75b8c3e5e.pdf ➤Sermon Notes (Answers): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_c1090c859dc34490b1e7f574aaae7926.pdf ________________________________________ In this video: Review of previous sermons in series Main Points Application ________________________________________ Subscribe to this channel to catch weekly expositional sermons from the Bible. ________________________________________ Explore more sermons and information: https://www.sheridanhills.org/watch-new ________________________________________ Follow us: ➤Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sheridanhills/ ➤Twitter: https://twitter.com/sheridanhills01 ➤Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sheridanhills/
