Former QB Todd Husak gives love for 49ers' young defensemen that stepped up as offense falters in 2nd half
2026/10/20
49ers Pregame/Postgame host Todd Husak breaks down what went wrong in the second half offensively for the 49ers and how the team can bounce back versus Atlanta. Todd points out that the team's reliance on Christian McCaffrey and George Kittle is understandable, but it's the wide receiver position that's causing concern. With Mike Evans out, the team needs to find a way to make it work, and he suggests a trade might be in order.
Todd also praises the young defensive linemen, who are winning one-on-one matchups and putting pressure on the quarterback. The secondary is also playing aggressively, and the entire defense is working together like a well-oiled machine. It's a confident and cohesive unit that's fun to watch.
