We’re back again with Nic Allen to deep dive into another Bible family. Today we’re talking about Abraham and Isaac. God made promises to Abraham and fulfilled them—and then it seemed like God was interrupting His promise with a test. As Abraham and Issac’s story shows, there should be nothing we withhold from God, even when our faith is tested. What does that mean for a whole family?

We're pivoting a little bit for this second part of Season 3, and are thrilled to be joined by Nic Allen (Rolling Hills Nashville Campus Pastor and our favorite Bible scholar) to look deeper into the stories of some Biblical families. We're going to dig into how they relate to our family and parenting experiences today. First up is the story of Hagar, Abram/Abraham's Egyptian servant and second wife. Complicated? Yes. But even here at the beginning of the Bible in Genesis, we see that there is a God of grace who is writing a bigger story.
