VGK falls apart in loss to Maple Leafs, 7-3. Home losing streak at four
2024/02/23
The Golden Knights dropped their fourth straight home game Thursday night, falling to the Toronto Maple Leafs, 7-3. Toronto raced out to a 4-0 first period lead and chased starting VGK goalie Adin Hill. Bruce Cassidy said afterward that the team was soft on pucks and made several mistakes leading to Maple Leafs goals. Cassidy expects veterans and younger players to step up in the absence of Mark Stone, who suffered a spleen injury against nashville this week. William Karlsson, Jonathan Marchessault and Michael Amadio scored goals for the Golden Knights. VGK starts a 5-game road swing at Ottawa Saturday night. Cassidy is concerned teams are figuring out the VGK system. And, he feels the team is losing its identity. We preview the VGK-Senators game and we have a slew of comments from our listeners/viewers on WTF - What The Friday!
