In this episode I’m joined by Moya Financial CEO Tony Krosel and Penny-Lynn Rintoul, a lawyer with the RZCD law firm in Mississauga that specializes in helping credit unions.  We talk about Moya’s newest financial product, Investment Shares.  Investment shares are designed to give conservative investors a great return. The rate for this investment is higher than comparable term deposits, making it ideal for diversifying your portfolio and helping grow your credit union.  There is lots to know about them though as you consider this for your portfolio, and so Tony and Penny join me to talk about why Investment Shares, why now, and what you need to know to start your journey of discovery.

Estate planning is vitally important to ensure that an individual’s wishes are respected, and that family and friends are appropriately cared for. Without professional help, it’s easy to make mistakes when estate planning. Many people never realize the implications of these errors, and unwittingly leave a mess for their family and friends to sort out.

In this episode we’re picking up the conversation from a recent Moya Financial Wealth live stream where after an introduction by Sasa Recnik, Moya Financial marketing lead, I chat with Taras Komarnytski who takes us through his background as a Certified Financial Planner, some high level tax strategies for your investments and then we delve into three life-stage financial planning scenarios to provide examples of the various strategies available to Moya Financial members.

In this final episode of 2020 we connect with Moya Financial CEO Tony Krosel and look at the unusual year that was and discuss how Moya, with the help of our members and dedicated team of banking professionals, still had a great year in terms of accomplishments and financials. Next, we chat about the year ahead and what is on the drawing board for the members in 2021!

First up in this episode we meet Sonja Vidovic from the Toronto based Slovenian radio station, Radio Glas.  We chat about her background in radio and production, what it takes to produce the show each week, and the essential role Radio Glas plays in supporting the Slovenian community here in Ontario. Next we welcome back to the podcast Devon Doane, urban beekeeper from Alvéole, who brings us up to speed on the summer months for the Moya Financial honeybees, the happy harvest in the fall producing a record amount of honey, and getting the hives ready for winter.
