The Penguins got their first 4-game western road swing sweep since 2018 with a 3-2 win over the Vancouver Canucks! Patrick and Hunter begin the show recapping the Penguins' fourth-straight win, this time against the Canucks. A lot of the victory could be attributed to the play of Stuart Skinner, who saved the Penguins' bacon several times throughout the game. Skinner moves to 7-1 as the Penguins' goalie and continues to make his case to be the full-time starter. Along with Skinner's solid play, it was another great performance from rookie Ben Kindel, who broke his goal-scoring drought with a two-goal night in front of more than 150 friends and family. The Penguins kick off their Western Canada swing this week after dropping a point to a divisional rival on Saturday. Hunter and Patrick begin the show recapping a very familiar loss over the weekend (1:20). The Penguins played well in the first and third periods, as well as overtime, against Columbus on Saturday night, but a lazy second period put them behind the eight-ball and left them with just a single point after losing in a shootout once again. The Penguins were able to grab a point against the Tampa Bay Lightning, but their struggles in the shootout continued on Tuesday night. Patrick and Hunter begin the show recapping what a surprisingly defensive battle between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday. Despite only getting a point and dropping the game in a shootout, there was plenty of good to take away, including the Pens' defensive efforts and the non-shootout goaltending.
