Grief Update: My Dad Died & Here's How I'm Navigating It
2021/10/27
I lost my dad very unexpectedly at the beginning of 2021 and this is my grief update. I recorded this 6 months after I lost him, and just now feeling ready to publish it.
If you are struggling with grief right now, this is for you.
Loss is not just death. Loss is a breakup from relationship or friendship, the death of a pet, a move, financial loss, job loss, etc. It all is valid and we don't compare losses.
Here is how I got through it. Because we don't get over it. We get through it and for the rest of my life I will be continuing to move through it.
When my dad first died, I clung to literally anything that gave me a sliver of hope. Please allow this to give you hope. The clouds do part, the sun does shine again. I promise.

2021/03/30
Perfectionistic, much??
Do you constantly feel like you're always making mistakes and brain tells you you just can't do anything right?
I'm there, well... weekly. But there was an event that happened this weekend that really triggered that insecurity in me and I had a beautiful conversation with the person giving me feedback that opened my eyes to a whole new way to view feedback and what it means.
If you struggle with receiving feedback or 'constructive criticism' and are wayyyy too hard on yourself, listen up!

For the Woman Waking up thinking, "I Can't Do this Today"
2021/03/03
Do you ever wake up and have an immediate thought of, ""I Can't Do this Today."
As I'm grieving and going through a lot of loss, I wake up that way every morning and I have learned perspective-shifting questions to ask myself.
Also, in this episode, I discuss conflicting emotions and how we as humans have the capacity to hold both.
As always, this is your positivity boost for the day and the permission slip you are looking for to start accepting whatever you are going through!

How to Nourish and Nurture Yourself
2021/02/24
I recently heard this quote from Tara Brach: "It is not survival of the fittest. It is survival of the most nurtured." I put my own spin on this to be "it is survival of the most nourished."
Whether you are struggling with an eating disorder, grief, or having a tough time in your life right now, I go through ways in which you can nurture and nourish yourself through it.
We have not have received nurturing when we were children, so in our adult life, we may not know how to even nurture or nourish ourself through the life changes, the loss, the struggles, etc.
I break it down for you in this episode with real life examples of how you can start creating moments in your life where you feel okay again.

[Guest] Overcoming Food Anxiety and Health Anxiety with Lily Bloomberg
2021/01/27
How many times have you heard that we can beat cancer, diabetes, mental illness, etc. with a certain diet?
While this is valuable information and can be effective, it can also bring us a lot of anxiety around food and our health as well as a perfectionistic mindset about our diets.
If you've ever felt like your diet is just not perfect enough and you're constantly striving for the next thing to do to make it more perfect, this episode is for you!
In this interview, Lily shares how she gained balance again in her life after being so restrictive and fearful of any food that may have caused detriment to her health. She also shares her story about how she lost her period from being so restrictive and what it took to get it back.
Lily Bloomberg is an anxiety coach who has experienced Orthorexia and health anxiety. You can find her on TikTok @peacefromwithin and instagram #_peacefromwithin

The One Question to Stop Asking Yourself
2021/01/20
There is one question that I bet you ask yourself daily, if not hourly. We all do it.
But if you are wanting to learn more about tapping into your own intuition and your own compass, this question can be reframed in a much better way to get a much better answer.
Also, if you feel there is a lot of pressure and expectation placed on you, asking yourself this question will only further feed into living a life based on other's expectations for you.
Reframing this question is a game changer!!

We hear stories about people recovering from eating disorders all of the time but the thing you don't hear often... is that sometimes we don't WANT to recover.
Sounds a little crazy, right?
I dive into the real reason why I didn't want to recover and how I finally came to acceptance with it and why my life is so much better now that I did have the courage to go through recovery.

What Is Orthorexia + What if You Just Fear Gaining Weight?
2021/01/06
In this episode I am defining Orthorexia and what the warning signs are for someone who may be struggling it.
This is not an eating disorder defined in the DSM yet; however, it is very real and very important to be aware of the warning signs of it.
I am also answering the question- What does it mean if I'm scared to unhealthy food because of it's calories, fat, carbs, etc. in fear that it would cause me to gain weight?
Many people resonate with this question so I am breaking down what it means and why we feel that way!
