Kathy Duva has been one of the top promoters in boxing for many years promoting some of the biggest names in the sport. Kathy pulled no punches talking about being a female promoter in a male dominated sport and dealing with sexism from some of the top power brokers. Heather Hardy also joined us and broke down Taylor - Serrano and shared her insight on what this fight means for the sport and for women. 

On April 28 in NYC boxinginsider.com promoted (hosted) a USA Boxing Metro sanctioned Golden Glove Qualifier event from the packed the world famous Sony Hall. Henry Deleon and Heather Hardy discuss with Larry Goldberg what went right and wrong and what we need to change for the next show. We pull back the curtain and talk about the nuts and bolts of promoting our first event.  

Amatuer sports has always been about trying new things and having a chance to  experiance sucess and failure.  So when Boxinginsider.com was given an oppertunity to "host" one of the Ringmaster Golden Glove qualifier events effectively  "promoting" its first boxing card (on April 28 at Sony Hall In NYC). We jumped at the offer.  To preview this show we have Vice President of USA Boxing Metro Sonya Lamonakis talk to us about the Ringmaster Golden Gloves qualifier tournament matches.  Journalist Charles Jay comes on to give us some pointers and explain the signifigance of promoting our first show at Sony Hall. Henry Deleon has fun needling Larry Goldberg about the pressures of running this event in Manhattan.

The vice President of USA Boxing Metro, Sonya, Lamonakis, Former Golden Gloves runner up Jose Guzman, and boxing journalist Charles Jay join us for a special announcment. Rising Prospect Andy Dominguez and his trainer Leo Morales join us in studio to discuss his big win in Atlantic City and how boxing changed their lives. Top Trainer Jose Guzman joined Larry Goldberg on BoxingInsider.com Radio with two of the hottest young prospects in the game to discuss all things boxing. Nadim Salloum , has the distinction of being the first professional boxer from Lebanon who moved to NYC to follow his dreams of boxing stardom.   Dominique Crowder a decorated amateur trained by Mark Breland with a 11-0 record who is ranked very high in the 126 lb division.    

In a rare type of Inteview, friend of the show, Otto Wallin sat in studio and helped us interview his promoter Dmitry Salita about the politics of heavyweight division that cost him his chance at Dillian Whyte. Dmity gave us unique insight on what a promoter does and how he maneuvers amoung the other promoters to get the best fights for his fighters.

Heather “The Heat” Hardy returns for an encore appearance on BoxingInsider.com Radio to finish our discussion on the behind the scenes dealings in Women Boxing. We discussed the real reason promoters wanted 2 minute rounds, pay disparity, politics, media bias, her come back fight at age 40, and what Taylor-Serrano means for the sport.   Larry Goldberg and Henry Deleon host this episode from Times Square, NYC.

Arguably the greatest fighter of all time in Sugar Ray Leonard sat down with the crew to touch upon several subjects both past and present.    At the age of 65, Leonard is still in incredible shape. To aid him in his day-to-day fitness, Leonard, who is currently on a “Skechers” press tour, explained what his daily routine is.
