     This week I  am going to discuss the Gish Gallop aka how to shovel B******T as fast as possible in the poltiical sphere--and how to counter it. Trump and his GOP have become experts at the art of throwing b******t at opponents. They do it to avoid the public discovery that Trump knows NOTHING. This propaganda technique is also known as the Gish Gallop. It has been used by fascist parties for decades and now the GOP of Trump has embraced it for the last 7 years as its unofficial pledge to duty.   We have a new initiate into PNN's DEPLORABLE List.  The Jackass of the Week Award will also be announced!  

     Trump is guilty of insurrection. Period. He must be banned from holding any office ever again. This plea for sanity and justice goes far beyond Donald Trump. If Trump isn't made to face justice, his MAGA lynch mob will become bolder. So, this story will recap Trump's many crimes. It will also focus on the complicity of other republicans. Our democracy is at stake here. This is our Big Story.  The second story features our Deplorable of the Week--Valentina Gomez Noriega. Gomez-Noriega is a 24 year old republican candidate for Missouri Secretary of State. She made 'history' (or infamy--based on your politcs), publishing a book burning video. Her objection to the books was all about the LGBTQ subject matter, which she defamed and called "pedophile grooming."  We will have our Jackass of the Week Award as well as a musical interlude.  Come join me.      This week on EJR, I will discuss the impending end of the Chevron Doctrine. First created to establish EPA regulatory power, the doctrine has allowed federal agencies such as the EPA to create regulations consistent with the law, while reflecting the judgement of various experts in multiple fields. It makes sense as professionals in the fields to be regulated would better be able to craft sensible rules, as opposed to members of congress. Now the Supreme Court is poised to strike down this 40 year precedent. Once reversed, the public would have no protection from corporate greed. There would be no regulations to ensure the safety of our medicines or our food, no regulations governing labor law or environmental concerns. In theory any regulations would either have to be listed in the law, like items on your grocery list--or wait for Congress to add to the law.      This week on PNN, I will discuss the asinine statement made by JP Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon, where he admonishes Trump MAGA critics. Dimon said in Davos that we shouldn't 'demonize' MAGA. Dimon then praised Trump for his alleged accomplishments. Apparently, MAGA supporters terrorizing the rest of us is little more than an inconvenience to Dimon, so I decided to investigate Dimon.    The first show of 2024 will focus on how the US is rapidly entering what has been termed as fascism's 'legal' phase. This is consistent with Project 2025 under the direction of the Heritage Foundation and associated groups. This fascistic evolution is particularly important as it sets the stage for future grievous injustices.     This show SHOULD have aired last Sunday, but BlogTalkRadio was having a 'nervous breakdown.' This episode challenges the ludicrous narrative coming from the Trump camp--the asinine idea that the president has 'absolute immunity. We will discuss the deluded and tortured argument for 'absolute presidential immunity' from criminal prosecution, its dubious history, and its danger to democracy itself. In theory at its most extreme application, under this doctrine a president could call an opponent into the Oval Office, put a gun to their head, pull the trigger, then demand the janitor clean up the mess without ever being held criminally accountable. This is the spectre of absolute presidential immunity that Donald Trump is demanding, which the Supreme Court could allow. This week on PNN, I will discuss the republican attacks on voting rights. Whether you are more interested in environmental issues as opposed to voting rights, this issue affects all others. The GOP knows they can't win elections legitimately so they attack voting rights. Just a week ago, the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals based in St. Louis struck down another major protection that was formerly in the Voting RIghts Act of 1965. I will discuss. This is our big story.  We will have another installment of our series covering Project 2025--the republican blueprint to establish a presidential dictatorship.  And, we will have our Jackass of the Week Award!  Come join me.     This week, I will present another segment on the GOP blueprint to end democracy aka Project 2025, sponsored by the Heritage Foundation. Our big story features a republican attorney operative named Mike Davis. Davis has been on the airwaves threatening to jail, denaturalize and deport anyone who dares criticize Donald Trump, during a second Trump administration. Apparently, Davis' name has been pushed as the lead candidate for Attorney General during that second Trump term. Among Davis' asinine statements is a threat to throw noted journalist Mehdi Hasan into a gulag, after which he would be denaturalized and deported. Mehdi Hasan's alleged crime? Journalism. Hasan has reported on Mike Davis' many bigoted rants.  Our second story is about Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey--and his similar audition to Trump as Bailey responds to an online request from Elon Musk. Musk is sueing Media Matters--again for journalism--about neo Nazi postings by Jack Posobiec. Posobiec has a long paper trail tying him to neo Nazi groups. Posobiec sent out a post inviting state level attorney generals to join the fight against Media Matters. Bailey responded by claiming his ..."team is looking into this matter." (St. Louis Post Dispatch). I left messages with Bailey's office but they have not responded. This is our second story. We will, of course have our Jackass of the Week Award, as well.  Join me.      Last week I presented an overview of the GOP plot to subvert the last remaining shreds of democracy and pervert government into a Trumpian dictatorial hell. Sponsored by the Heritage Foundation, "Project 2025", a 1,000 page cookbook, gives detailed instructions on how to dismantle any semblance of rational government while nullifying the Bill of Rights. Make no mistake, this is a plot to destroy democracy itself. Ironically, this isn't merely Trump's doing, we need to investigated the Heritage Foundation as a possible hate group or a co-sponsor of existing hate groups.  Project 2025 is a series which will conduct a deep dive into this coup engineered by conservative lawyers seeking to overthrow democratic rule by granting would be autocrats like Donald Trump a "get out of jail free" card. This week I will focus on the plot to use the US military to attack fellow Americans. This discussion is ongoing and will be part of an extended series on Project 2025. Special focus will be not only on Trump, but on the attorneys plotting this illegal overthrow of democracy. This is our big story.This is all in light of Trump's latest threats against us 'vermin,' whereby he intends to incarcerate and murder his poltiical opponents.  Story #2 will focus on the sad joke that is the Supreme Court's alleged code of ethical conduct. We could all use a good laugh right now. I will also discuss the latest ravings of our favorite blonde neanderthal in Congress--Marjorie Taylor Greene--in our latest episode of "My Little Margie."  We will also have the Jackass of the Week Award.

     This week I will discuss what has painfully become--the obvious--namely the vile bigotry of the Trump base. I refuse to entertain the excuses by some, claiming that they voted for Obama and then Trump--because of the economy and Trump's alleged business acumen. Put bluntly, Trump has NO business acumen. These milder Trump voters supported Trump because of white supremacy. Period. The economy was an excuse used to disguise their ugly bigotry and nothing else. I will discuss how white Christian Evangelicals are among some of the most bigoted and bloodthirsty Trumpers--as they claime to 'pray' for the rest of us mutts. The issue is not only Trump--but his base--and their willingness to commit any crime in order to obtain power.  Our other story deals with the illegal and unconstitutional arrests of two journalists in Alabama.     This week House republicans elected a new Speaker--and he was one of the intellectual leaders of the Jan. 6th insurrection. His name is Mike Johnson and he likes to pray for people. Mike Johnson led the charge in an amicus brief demanding that the Electoral College results be tossed. He has sponsored legislation which would grant legal impunity to businesses and groups who discriminate against the LGBTQ community--on the grounds of religious 'liberty.' In short, Mike Johnson represents the rebranding of fascism--with a smiley face. This story is truly about the schism which occurs when one alleged right clashes with the rights of others.  We will also discuss briefly a republican plan to criminalize birth control.
