World Mental Health Day: Protecting Our Young Men & Having the Hard Conversations
2026/10/13
World Mental Health Day: Protecting Our Young Men & Having the Hard Conversations
What does it really mean to protect our young people, support men's mental health, and take accountability for the world we're creating around them?
In this episode of Argh U Mad?, we're having some necessary conversations about mental health, grief, healing, culturally responsive therapy, and the influence of online streaming culture on younger generations. We're also reflecting on the importance of listening to our young men and women, taking their concerns seriously, and prioritizing their emotional well-being and safety.
Inspired by my own healing journey and the experiences that led to the creation of Argh U Mad? in 2019, this conversation is a reminder that mental health awareness must go beyond a single day. It requires self-awareness, compassion, accountability, and a willingness to address difficult subjects.
We also recognize Domestic Violence Awareness Month and the different forms abuse can take, including emotional and financial abuse. If you're navigating a difficult situation, please know that seeking support matters, and you deserve to be heard.
🎧 Keep listening, keep reflecting, and keep the conversation going.

The Signs are Everywhere: Gratitude, Wisdom and Letting Life Happen
2026/09/28
Sometimes the reminder you need comes from the most unexpected place.
A baby's voice during church service.A conversation that makes you stop and reflect. Wrching someone publicly choose a new a path. Even realizing that your child is growing into a completely different season oflife.
This episode is really about gratitude- for the seasons we're still gaining, and the signs that remind us to pay attention.
A conversation with a member of my community also reminded me of something important:sometimes the questions we ask can help someone see themselves dfferently. that moment remnded me of my callig- creating spae for reflection, encouragement, and meaningful conversation.
If you've been needing a space to talk through what's on your mind, you can schedule a 1-on-1 support session with me. Sometimes you don't need someone to have all the answers; you may simply need a safe space to slow down, reflect, and be heard.
We talk motherhood, growing children, spiritual wisdom, using our gifts, synchronicity, periods, and the very natural process of simply being human.
🎧 Listen to the full episode and take what speaks to you.

Coco Jones Is Married, Student Loans & The 2026 Midterms | Argh U Mad
2026/09/01
It's Saturday night and we're talking about whatever caught our attention this week! 🎙️
In this episode of Argh U Mad, I'm covering a mix of entertainment, current events, financial news, politics and comedy — with my own mindful commentary along the way.
💍 Coco Jones & Donovan Mitchell — Congratulations to the newlyweds! I'm talking about Coco Jones' marriage and the celebrity wedding that caught my attention.
🌍 Botswana & African News — A viral moment involving Botswana's president leads me into a conversation about marriage, relationships and the idea that people should be able to leave a union when it no longer works for them.
🎓 Student Loans — What's happening with the SAVE repayment plan? What should borrowers be paying attention to? I share what I found while researching student loan repayment options and why borrowers should check their federal student loan accounts.
🗳️ 2026 Midterm Elections — If you've been asking, "What's up with the midterms?" let's talk about it. I discuss why the 2026 elections matter, what positions are up for election and the policies that could directly affect our everyday lives.
😂 Mad Funny: Leslie Jones — We lighten things up with Leslie Jones, comedy, her journey and why I love seeing Black women embrace themselves and continue evolving.
This episode is part of the current Argh U Mad format where I take the headlines and conversations catching my attention and add my own perspective — because sometimes we need to pause, think and actually talk about what's happening around us.

Whoopi Goldberg, Keke Palmer & The Conversations We're Having | Argh U Mad
2026/08/12
Whoopi Goldberg, Keke Palmer, Claressa Shields, Amanda Seales, Tasha K, ChatGPT privacy and the Gorilla Glue Lady?! Yeah… we had a LOT to talk about. 👀
For this episode of Argh U Mad, I took the podcast outside and shared my thoughts on some of the conversations making noise across entertainment, celebrity culture, relationships, media and technology.
First, I'm talking about Whoopi Goldberg's appearance on Keke Palmer's podcast, "Baby, This Is Keke Palmer." I share what stood out to me from their conversation, including Whoopi's thoughts on creating what you need, women moving forward, trailblazing, storytelling and why we have to continue telling our own stories.
Then we get into Claressa Shields, Papoose and Remy Ma, including Claressa's response after being questioned about dating a married man. I share my perspective on accountability, public figures and why I don't believe every situation needs a clapback.
Next up: Amanda Seales and Tasha K. After watching their interview and hearing the conversation surrounding it, I explain why I actually appreciated the connection between the two women—but why Amanda's reaction afterward left me disappointed.
And then it's time for Mad Tech 🤖.
We're talking about ChatGPT privacy, sharing AI conversations, and the things we should consider before putting personal information into AI tools or publicly sharing our chats.
And because apparently we weren't done yet… we're also talking about the Gorilla Glue Lady and Tasha K, including the apology that came out of that conversation.
This is Argh U Mad — commentary, culture, conversations and mindful perspectives from a Black woman's point of view.
So tell me: Which conversation would you have handled differently?

Usher Got Rejected, Ye's Concert Numbers & LeBron to Philly | Mad News
2026/08/07
Usher got rejected. Ye's concert numbers sparked conversation. Student loan forgiveness had everybody asking questions. Dick Gregory caught my attention. And LeBron James is bringing the memes to Philadelphia. 😂
Welcome back to Argh U Mad, where we look at the headlines through a different lens—because the story is one thing, but the perspective is everything.
In this episode, I'm talking about the conversations making their way through entertainment, pop culture, sports, and everyday life, including:
🎤 Usher getting rejected onstage — and what that moment says about the changing relationship between celebrities and their audiences.
💰 Ye's concert numbers — including a correction to information I initially shared in this episode. Consider this your reminder that sometimes the conversation continues after the recording.
🎓 Student loan forgiveness — because when everyone is celebrating, I still want to know what the latest developments actually mean.
🎬 Dick Gregory — exploring the comedian, activist, and thinker whose work has recently had me paying closer attention.
🏀 LeBron James and Philadelphia — plus the internet doing what the internet does best with the memes.
This isn't about telling you what to think. It's about giving you something to think about.

Beach Day Reflections: Self-Care, Relationships & Mindful Living
2026/07/28
As my birthday approached, I found myself returning to the beach for another moment of reflection. What began as a quiet afternoon by the ocean became a conversation about self-care, relationships, motherhood, discernment, and the life-changing decisions we often don't think about until experience teaches us differently.
Inspired by a conversation surrounding marriage and parenting that I listened to on "Unwine with Tasha K. I explore what it means to be intentional with our choices, protect our peace, and remain mindful of the legacy we're creating.
If you're navigating relationships, healing, or simply seeking a moment to pause and reflect, I hope this conversation meets you exactly where you are.

No Shortcuts to Heaven Black Women, Self-Love & Protecting Your Peace
2026/07/13
No studio. No traditional setup. Just the ocean, my journal, and a moment of mindfulness.
In this beachside episode of the Argh U Mad Podcast, I reflect on a simple reminder: there are no shortcuts to heaven.
From relationships, marriage, and protecting yourself as a woman to self-reflection and recognizing when life keeps telling you, "Stop it," this conversation moves wherever the spirit leads.
I share my thoughts on 50 Cent's documentary recognition, Tasha K's perspective on marriage and womanhood, and why our icons—including Brandy—deserve the space to be human.
Then, the conversation turns to Black women, dark skin, natural hair, and my nearly 12-year loc journey.
There is beauty in the stages.
There is beauty in starting from the bottom.
And there is power in refusing to let outside noise trick you out of your position.
To my Black women: never forget that you are beautiful the way God created you.
⚠️ A quick audio note: this episode was recorded live on the beach. My streaming service used my phone microphone instead of my plugged-in mic, so you will hear wind and natural beach sounds throughout the recording. The conversation is still audible, and I hope the ocean adds something special to this moment.
Welcome to Thoughtful Thursday.
🌊 Where in your life are you trying to skip the process?
Drop it in the comments and join the conversation. Then share this episode with a Black woman who needs the reminder: there are no shortcuts to heaven, and there is beauty in every stage of becoming.

Things to Fret On (Return Hour Audio) | Stress, Culture Check, National Days + Waning Crescent Wisdom
2025/12/22
Welcome back to Argh U Mad?!? — the podcast for the people.
I'm Nikki Nu (Nik 2 the Nu / Nik ), creator and founder, and this episode opens with the track Fist Fight by Kwame Adu & Superchk—setting the tone for raw expression, internal tension, and the reality of being human before we slow it all the way down.
This Return Hour begins in motion—stress, pressure, discipline, and the mental tug-of-war that comes with growth—before shifting into reflection, cultural commentary, and grounding. A trending moment sparks a wider conversation about public influence, boundaries, and discernment, especially when children are part of the audience. From there, we move through community dialogue, December 18th national observances (including International Migrants Day), and close with a moon phase check-in under a waning crescent moon, just ahead of the new moon in Sagittarius—a natural time for release, inner work, and intention-setting.
This is not about glorifying stress. It's about acknowledging it, naming it, and moving through it—mindfully.
Listener note: This episode is pulled from a live Return Hour. You may hear background ambiance, music, or brief pauses as part of the real-time flow.
Brand intention:
At Argh U Mad?!?, we're changing the narrative of mental health from a Black woman's perspective—one episode at a time—while staying mindful in 30 minutes or less, balancing mind, body, and soul in a way that fits real life.
