A Place At The Table: Come And See
2026/09/27
There's a moment in the Gospel of John where someone asks Jesus a simple question: "Where are you staying?" His answer wasn't a lecture or a pitch. He just said, "Come and see." That invitation still shapes how we think about community. We aren't trying to convince anyone of anything. We're simply opening a door and inviting people to experience something for themselves, around a table, in real conversation, among people who are honestly figuring things out together. In this lesson we learn about what it looks like to be a genuinely invitational church, one that welcomes people before they have everything sorted out. And ask yourself this: Who in your life might just need someone to say "come and see"?
A Place At The Table: Your Life Is The Mission Field
2026/09/20
Every good story has a mission, and most of us have never stopped to ask which story is shaping our own. What story do you think is directing how you spend your time, money, and energy? In this sermon we continue our series, A Place at the Table, by exploring what it means to live a missional life. Jesus called his disciples both salt and light. Jeremiah sent a letter to exiles in Babylon with instructions that sound surprisingly ordinary. Together, those passages offer a new way to see the people and places that fill your week. Some of what we discover may reshape how you view an ordinary Tuesday.
A Place At The Table: The Table Is Bigger Than You Think
2026/09/13
Most of us say we want community, but what we actually want is familiarity. People who already get us. People who make things easy. Real hospitality asks something different of us. It asks us to make room at the table for people who don't fit as neatly, who bring their own mess and history into the room. That kind of welcome costs something. It also happens to be where Jesus spent most of his time. So, who in your life is waiting for an invitation they don't think they'll ever get?
A Place At The Table: The People You Didn't Choose
2026/09/06
The Mission of Mosaic Church is to unite people in the Way of Jesus.   Join us as we are continuing our new teaching services called A Place at the Table, where we walk through some ideas from Scripture about the convergence of hospitality, community, and mission.
A Place At The Table: We Aren't The Church By Ourselves
2026/08/30
There's a strange kind of loneliness that shows up even when your calendar is full. You can have a dozen casual connections and still feel like nobody would notice if you disappeared for a month. Most of us have felt that at some point, even in seasons that looked full from the outside. This week we're starting a new series about hospitality, community, and what it actually means to belong somewhere. Not the surface kind of belonging, but the kind that costs something and gives something back. What does real belonging look like in your life right now, and where is it missing?
The Church On Fire: The Open Ending
2026/08/23
Paul's story in Acts ends without an ending. There is no verdict and no release, only two years in a rented house, guarded, waiting, and somehow still teaching with boldness and without hindrance. He never got to see how his own story turned out. Most of us are living in an unfinished chapter too. There is a diagnosis we are still waiting on, a relationship we cannot fix yet, a prayer that has gone quiet. We tell ourselves we will start living fully once we know how things end.   Paul never had that luxury. He opened his door anyway, with no verdict in hand and no guarantee of what came next.    What if the ending was never yours to know first? In this lesson we close out our series through the book of Acts.
The Church On Fire: Paul Takes The Stand
2026/08/16
The world keeps telling us that doing right should lead to something good. Paul's story pushes back on that. He told the truth, defended his faith with total clarity, and still ended up in chains for two more years.  We know that ache. The boundary you held that got you labeled difficult. The honesty that cost you a friendship instead of earning you gratitude. It's a familiar kind of unfair. Paul's peace didn't come from the situation resolving. It came from staying whole no matter what pressure came at him. What's one place in your life where you're waiting for permission to stand firm? This teaching goes through Paul's trial and what it teaches us about holding steady. Join us online and process it with your community afterward.
The Church On Fire: A Cause Worth Living For
2026/08/09
Everyone wants something worth giving their life to. That desire isn’t a mistake because God put it there on purpose.  But there is a trap waiting on the other side of finding your cause. The same conviction that gives you direction can quietly turn you hard toward everyone who does not share it. You start out chasing purpose. You end up isolated, surrounded only by people who agree with you.  Paul found a cause worth dying for. It carried him across the entire empire and eventually cost him his life. But it never made him contemptuous of the people who opposed him. He held his conviction and his compassion in the same hand. So ask yourself this. Is the cause you are living for making you more loving toward people, or just more sure that you are right? Check out this teaching, digging into what it costs to carry a cause without letting it carry you away from everyone else.
The Church On Fire: More Blessed To Give Than To Receive
2026/08/02
Do you believe Jesus knew what He was talking about? He said that it is more blessed to give than to receive. Have you found that to be the case? When did you discover that giving is better than receiving? Have you acquired the taste for generosity?  Tune in as we continue in the book of Acts where Paul reminds us of Jesus’ reflection on how this life actually works best.
The Church On Fire: Moving On From Idolatry
2026/07/26
Listen in as we continue studying the Book of Acts in our series, The Church On Fire.
The Church On Fire: Building Bridges To The Resurrection
2026/07/19
In Acts 17, Paul builds bridges that can bear the weight of Resurrection when he engages the Epicureans and Stoics of the Areopagus in Athens. Join us as we look at Paul's deep concern and care for those with a very different yet similar perspective as his. God is near to all and wants all to reach out and find Him. He is near to you and to your neighbor. How will you respond to the Good News of the Resurrected Jesus?
The Church On Fire: Lightning Strikes The Church
2026/07/12
Check out the continuing series, "The Church On Fire" and dive into the Book of Acts.
The Church On Fire: Moving From Control To Surrender
2026/07/05
Excerpted from a wide swath of the Book of Acts (7:51-8:4, 9:1-31) and taking a cue from the Old Testament prophet Isaiah's recognition that the will of the Lord will prosper (Isaiah 53:10), this talk explores how God works His purposes through real people. We consider how the Christian message proclaimed by the martyr Stephen was, ironically, later re-transmitted to new communities by (the former persecutor) Saul-turned-Paul. Paul's work hinged on his conversion--from control to surrender--as he journeyed 175 miles from Jerusalem to Damascus. While we each are on different "Damascus Road" journeys, we, too, have an opportunity to surrender to the faithfulness of God. What might you continue that others have begun? What might you begin that others will continue?
The Church On Fire: The Ethiopian Eunuch
2026/06/28

A Church On Fire: Father's Day
2026/06/21
Father’s Day. Here’s an important question: When your Heavenly Father thinks about you, what do you imagine his thoughts are? Is he pleased or displeased? Is he excited, angry, tenderhearted? Maybe he’s just a little disappointed?  A second question is, what would you say is God’s defining quality? What is the main thing that makes God, God? Mercy, Justice, Wisdom, Wrath, Love?  A third question: When you answered the first question, were you thinking of God in the same way as you did when answering the second question? I wonder how many would say God is Love, but when God thinks of them personally, he is something else.  In this episode we’ll talk about the Hebrew word “Hesed” and what it indicates about our Heavenly Father.
