Halt The Helicopter
2021/11/17
Me and my pal Justin Menda from Rocket Prep, talk all about helicopter parenting and what studies are saying about it (it's not GOOD). Take a listen to hear what it's like to hang with us and hash out child dev stuffs. We talk about how kids brains are developing slower and it's NOT a good thing. How by hovering we are, unwittingly, harming. It's not too late. Listen, learn, laugh (a lot). Stay until the way end for our love fest. Some friends you meet later in life and you connect instantly. This is our second of many pods. Justin is brilliant and so much fun and so kind. This one is a can't miss. It's long but sooooooo worth it.

ADHD: The Difference Between Girls And Boys
2021/07/28
My buddy and I, Michael McLeod from Grow Now Therapy, chat about the difference between boys and girls when it comes to ADHD or Executive Functioning Developmental Delay. We don't have enough information to address non-binary, gender fluid or trans kids. I would love to delve into that but today it's about cis kids. Don't miss this fascinating discussion about ADHD/EFDD. You will learn things you never knew. This is so great.
Special Instructors: Teaching Your Kid What They Need To Succeed
2021/07/14
What happens when two new friends forever get together to talk kids? You HAVE to listen to find out. It is madness and mayhem and LOT'S of fun. My pal Ginna is an SI. What is that you ask? I had NO IDEA (I love learning new things). It's a Special Instructor. How do you know if your kid needs one? What does she do to help your kid (a lot of things)? Well, she helps them meet milestones, play, gain life skills, communicate, focus better at school, gain important social skills.... You will also learn about Maslow's Hierarchy Of Needs and why it's important to know it about especially for teachers. There is so much packed in here. You will laugh, you will learn, you will get a glimpse into what it likes to hang out with us ladies, haha. Oh and this one is NOT for the kids. Some NSFW words in there.

Amazing ADHD Advice
2021/03/31
The amazing, Michael McLeod, from GrowNOW Therapy, took a break from parenting a super (hella cute) newborn to tell us all about what is new in ADHD. It will blow your mind how different the ideas are now and the ways to help your kids are wayyyyy different too. Take a listen and see how you can help your kids whether you are a parent, teacher, coach, mentor or anyone in the life of a child. These ideas are life changing. I have already started to use them myself. For more about GrowNow head to https://www.grownowtherapy.com/.
Transgender Talk
2021/03/17
Y’all. Y’ALLLLLL. I HAVE WANTED TO THIS PODCAST FOR A  WHILE NOW!!!!! Thanks to my amazing pal I got hooked up with Dane Menkin, he answers all of my (and probably your) questions about the  whole transgender process as it refers to kids. There are so many  misconceptions about the whole process. We, well he, clears it up. I  love this talk so much. It was so much fun and I thought I knew a lot  and I learned stuff too. Everyone needs to listen to this. With  education we can save these children from depression and death by  suicide or thoughts of suicide. It will be up tomorrow!!!! I’m so  excited you can totally hear me freaking out on the podcast, haha. Dane is the divisional director of LGBTQ services at Main Line Health where he provides LGBTQ specific clinical care with a focus on gender-affirming-care for children, adolescents and adults. Dane’s role allows for access to a large healthcare system in the region to focus on an LGBTQ-competency-curriculum implementation and workforce education.  Dane is the recipient of the AANP Award for Excellence for PA in 2019. He is a member of WPATH and served on the Board of Directors for The Jim Collins Foundation as well as serving as a consultant for TransLine. He has presented across the country to healthcare and social service providers working with trans and non-binary clients and patients.
