Historically, seven types of individuals were anointed in the Old Testament. All of them foreshadowed the Messiah to come who would fulfill all these anointed roles in the highest degree possible. But here is the mystery of mysteries. Those seven roles have now been transferred to every son and daughter of God in the New Covenant. Powerful! The word “Zion” means fortress (a stronghold of defense). Those in covenant with the God of Abraham (the King of Zion) qualify as “Children of Zion” because they have become a fortress of faith in a world full of unbelief, a fortress of love in a world full of hatred, a fortress of peace in a world full of stress. But that’s just a small part of a grand revelation that reaches all the way to the pinnacle of the spectacular New Creation. Enjoy!!! What insights are revealed in this area by ancient biblical languages? Is divine election (predestination) different than fatalism? What is the most edifying aspect of being included among “the elect”? How can monkeys help us understand divine election? Many questions need to be answered. The Bible depicts the bride of Christ as “God’s Garden.” You may think your past disqualifies you for such an attractive symbol, but salvation has beautified you for time and eternity. In a world that often denies the existence of a Creator, the church is a peaceful and fruitful, garden-like haven for the heavenly Gardener. In a world that often produces anxiety, damages people, and leaves them hungry for truth, the church is a garden-like sanctuary providing peace, beauty, and spiritual nourishment. This is a wonderful revelation! God has established nine covenants to redeem and restore His people in this world. The eighth is called “The New Covenant”—because this covenant is especially about God making all things new. It begins invisibly and internally with each child of the covenant becoming “a new creation” (2 Cor. 5:17). It will end with a spectacular external and visible transformation of the entire universe—a new creation: a new heaven and a new earth. The revelations that pull all this together are utterly awe-inspiring! God has established nine major covenants from the Garden of Eden onward. The most stable people in this unstable world are those who accept the terms of His covenants and receive the associated promises. Those who understand that God is a covenant-making, covenant-keeping, covenant-revealing, covenant-establishing God become truly unshakeable. These unique individuals are even called “children of the covenant” (Acts 3:25). God’s people are named “the righteous,” “heirs of righteousness” and even, “the righteousness of God in Christ.” Clearly, righteousness is not just something believers strive to attain; it is something transferred to them supernaturally through new birth. The impartation of righteousness is one of the most amazing gifts God gives to those who love Him. This revelation will definitely build your faith. One of the most mysterious figures in the Bible is Melchizedek, King of Salem, who was also a priest of the Most High God (Gen. 14). Many believe he was a “Christophany”: a bodily appearance of the Christ during the Old Testament era. Is “the order of Melchizedek,” mentioned in Psalm 110, prophetic of New Covenant believers—king/priests who will minister to God forever? Let’s unravel the mystery together. A bloody ear, thumb, and toe—Why? In the Old Covenant, only the natural offspring of Aaron, the high priest, could be included in the priesthood. In the New Covenant, only the supernatural offspring of the Lord Jesus, the Great High Priest, are granted this status and calling, both now and forevermore. Learn how the initiation rites for priests under the former era reveal profound truths, on a much higher level, about our priestly calling during this age of grace! Going deep in God’s Word! Those who are “of faith” under the New Covenant are referred to as “the children of Abraham” who are “blessed with faithful Abraham." Scripture even declares that Jesus “became a curse” that “the blessing of Abraham” might pass to us. If it was that important to Him, we should deem it important to examine—and claim by faith (Galatians 3:7-14). How can New Jerusalem (“Jerusalem above”) be “the mother of us all” (all born again believers)? Why is the contrast between heavenly Jerusalem and earthly Jerusalem compared to Sarah and Hagar in the epistle to the Galatians? And why did the apostle Paul name God’s New Covenant people “children of the freewoman”? Many mysterious, scriptural metaphors will be revealed during this episode. No one can share God’s glory, right? Actually, the exact opposite is true. God’s people are even named “partakers of the glory” and “the house of His glory”! Before Jesus went to the cross, He prayed, “Father, the glory you gave Me, I have given them.” So, this has already been established by a divine decree! This revelation is glorious!
