Paramedic Education, degrees, and Max Dodge
2025/12/16
Another throwback to the episode about degrees and paramedics. Agree or disagree Max does make some good points. That said, not that we see what happened to nursing is this idea still applicable.
Pragmed -Throwback to Missed tubes
2025/12/15
Please support the Do It For Drew Foundation
Intubating is (or taking an airway) often a necessary part of the job. It isn't, however, without inherent danger to the patient.
This episode is also a throwback. We talk with David - Drew's father. Drew died as a result of misplaced and unidentified tube.
Let's do better for Drew.
Pragmed - Stressors of the job and preparedness with Dr Steffian
2025/12/14
Throwback! One of my absolute favorite episodes
We chatted with Dr. Steffian PSYD - who is a distinguished psychologist very well versed in mental health but, more specifically, high-stress situations and candidate selection within the military's special warfare groups. He has published several peer-reviewed articles on the topic, and we ask him the down and dirty about how stress impacts us as EMS and paramedic professionals.
As we all know, stress is something we all confront. However, the question is, are we prepared for it, and what does it take it to manage these situations? George Steffian Ph.D. answers all of these questions during this episode of the Pragmatic Paramedics.
