Stop White-Knuckling Your Life: Let the Holy Spirit Lead with Mary Lenaburg
2026/09/09
I am sitting down with my dear friend Mary Lenaburg to talk about her new book, Restored and Resilient: Walking Boldly with the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, and what it means to rely on the gifts of the Holy Spirit in the messiness of everyday life. Get her new book right here: https://ascensionpress.com/es/products/restored-and-resilient-walking-boldly-with-the-gifts-of-the-holy-spirit I was honoured to offer an endorsement: "Mary has done it again! Laughing one moment and weeping the next, this book will take you on a journey of self-discovery, with the virtues as your mile markers and Mary as your trusted guide. Written with remarkable vulnerability and the kind of wisdom that can only come from a woman who has lived these virtues herself, this is a book that will challenge every reader to become more fully who God created them to be." –Lisa Canning Catholic speaker, author and coach Check out Mary's other books: https://marylenaburg.com/ Follow Mary on instagram:  https://www.instagram.com/marylenaburg

Permission for Catholic Moms to Earn Well with Stephanie Weinert

2026/04/11
What does it actually mean to lead like Jesus? And what if leadership… isn’t about titles, control, or having it all together- but about something else entirely? In this episode, I sit down with Jeffrey M. Lockert, President of Catholic Christian Outreach and author of Learn to Lead Like Jesus: An Invitation for Everyone to Incarnational Leadership, to unpack a radically different vision of leadership- one rooted in the life of Christ. How Ben Corkery Built an 8-Figure Brand People Love
2026/03/27

In this episode, I sit down with Ben Corkery, founder of The Tallowed Truth, to unpack the real story behind building an 8-figure business... creating something so aligned and so excellent that your customers become your greatest advocates. We talk:  Polarizing ads—and why “not being for everyone” might be your greatest advantage  From making product on a hot plate in a basement… to producing thousands of units a day  What actually creates raving fans (and why most brands never get there)
Spiritual Direction vs Coaching vs Therapy (A Catholic Perspective)
2026/03/17
Many people ask me about the difference between spiritual direction, coaching, and therapy. What exactly are they, and how might you know what you need?  In this episode, I walk through how each of these forms of support serves a different purpose in the life of a Catholic seeking holiness. I explain how spiritual direction helps you discern God’s voice, how therapy supports emotional healing, and how coaching helps you take practical steps forward in your calling. If you’ve ever wondered which one you might need—or how they can work together—I hope this episode brings clarity and peace. And of course to coach with me, send me a DM on instagram @lisacanning. I would love to chat about how I can help.
Is This From God… or Just My Ambition?
2026/03/13
We have ideas, dreams, projects, ministries, and businesses stirring in our hearts. But one of the most important questions we can learn to ask is this: Is this from God… or is it just my ambition? In this episode, I explore the difference between a good idea and a God-given assignment. Because not every opportunity we see is necessarily something we are called to build. We’ll talk about discernment, interior peace, the role of ambition in the spiritual life, and how to begin recognizing the subtle ways the Holy Spirit guides our decisions. If you’ve ever wrestled with questions like: - Should I pursue this idea? - Is God asking me to start something… or let something go? - How do I know if this desire is coming from Him? …this conversation is for you. Because the goal isn’t to suppress ambition. The goal is to surrender it — so that what we build is truly aligned with what God is asking of us.

Why We Avoid Prayer - and How To Return Without Guilt
2026/02/06
Why is prayer often the first thing we avoid—especially when we need it most? In this episode, I’m joined by Rose Folsom for a gentle, honest conversation about the quiet resistance many of us feel toward prayer, and how to begin again without shame or perfectionism. Drawing on the wisdom of Jacques Philippe, we explore why prayer feels hard, how guilt keeps us stuck, and what faithful, realistic prayer looks like in real life. This episode is an invitation to return to God simply, patiently, and with trust—right where you are.
How to Party Like a Saint: Reclaiming Celebration in Catholic Family Life
2026/01/30
In a world where faith is often framed as heavy or restrictive, the saints tell a very different story- one of joy, feasting, beauty, and deep friendship. In this episode, I sit down with Ana Keyworth, co-founder of Party Like a Saint to explore what it really means to party like a saint- and why reclaiming celebration is essential for Catholic family life today. We talk about how feast days form children’s hearts, why joy is a spiritual discipline (not a personality trait), and how ordinary moments- birthdays, liturgical seasons, simple gatherings- can become powerful tools of faith formation. This conversation is for parents who want their homes to feel alive with meaning, not pressure… rooted in tradition, but full of delight. If you’ve ever wondered how to pass on the faith without making it feel heavy, how to build a Catholic culture your kids actually love, or why celebration itself can be a quiet act of evangelization- this episode is for you.

In this episode, I'm hosting special guest Brooke Joiner from Catholic Owned, and we will explore why the Church needs entrepreneurs, creators, and builders who see their work not as a side hustle, but as stewardship, mission, and cultural formation.
