One fateful night, the situation turned violent, prompting Gigi to flee and end the relationship. He began a campaign of harassment, stalking her relentlessly, issuing threats, contacting her workplace, reaching out to her family, and resorting to blackmail by threatening to distribute intimate images. The relationship was toxic and the abuse escalated to the point Charlotte knew the relationship was not salvageable. When she ended things, her ex started stalking her. Helena has become the target of a relentless stalker who obtained her social media handle.  Upon connecting online, he inundated her with disturbing messages. She told him to never contact her again and blocked him. Despite her warnings, he created fake accounts, subjecting Helena to harassment, terrorizing her, and issuing threats of violence, including threats to kill her and set her house ablaze. Fearing for her safety, Helena reached out to the police, but the stalking persisted. Eventually, the situation became so dire that she had no choice but to relocate from her neighborhood to escape the ongoing threat. Cara was targeted and stalked by a man she had encountered on the internet, with their interactions being solely online and over the phone.  After a few conversations, Cara told the man she was no longer interested and blocked him. Frustrated by his inability to reach Cara, the stalker impersonated law enforcement. Through this ruse, he obtained Cara's personal information from her wireless phone service provider.  Armed with this data and her personal information, he continued to harass Cara, as well as her family, coworkers, and friends. He sent them inappropriate photos of her, issued death threats, and even drove across state lines to show up at her house. Following their breakup, Robert's former girlfriend escalated her behavior by stalking him and leaving menacing messages on his answering machine. Determined to put an end to the harassment, he sought help from the police and successfully filed two distinct orders of protection. Drawing inspiration from his own ordeal, Robert transformed his experiences into a fictional novel titled "Twisted Love." Debbie Riddle is an Anti-Stalking Advocate whose sister Peggy Klinke was stalked and murdered by her ex-boyfriend. After Peggy’s death, Debbie refused to remain silent about the extreme failures in our criminal justice system and set out on a mission to get the system fixed and began telling Peggy’s story to anyone that would listen.
