Happy Sunday! It’s been a while! I can’t think of a better way to ring in October than with another conversation with Jill Baguchinsky, this time about her Wuthering Heights inspired novel May The Dead Keep You (which hit shelves in April). Jill and I previously got to chat in 2024 about her other novel So Witches We Became - another apt pick for this early fall season!! - and I was SO excited to catch up and have her back on the show. I hope you enjoy, because I know that I certainly did! Check out our last episode from 2024! Follow Jill Follow OTS Map of Indie Bookstores Get May The Dead Keep You! Blinking Owl Books on Third

Happy Monday!! I was traveling yesterday (and what a journey that was) so I’m bringing you our final episode of August 2026 a little late, but it’s more than worth it. Leslie Vedder’s The Siren’s Kiss, is just what I’ve been looking for as summer dips into fall, mixing together the worlds of sirens and pirates with a dash of sapphic love and romance. Plus, we had such a blast chatting so I think you’ll really enjoy! Follow Leslie Follow OTS OTS Substack Map of Indie Bookstores Get The Siren's Kiss!! Happy Sunday!! For what will probably be our final episode of August 2026, I got to chat with Meghan Le Fay about book one in her Dragonbound Chronicles, Wings of Life! Meghan had both a long road and quite a fast trip on her journey to publishing Wings of Life, and we waded through it all, if you’re in need of a fantastical escape as summer begins to wind to a close, look no further and enjoy the ride! I think this is a first for my time at OTS, interviewing an author with whom I’ve had a professor in common, and of comics history no less! If that isn’t an indicator we’re in for a good time this week, I don’t know what is! If you’ve been following for a while, or know me in real life, you might know that I just love comics and graphic novels, so it’s always a treat for me to chat with a creator on the scene, making some incredible work! So of course I was just delighted to be able to chat with Sophia Glock about her new graphic novel, Before We Wake, which hit shelves earlier this year. We have reached our final episode of the month of July and what a treat to end off with! The Night King's Court, Elisa's 4th novel, came out in April and is genuinely such a delight of a book. I mean, a castle ripped from reality (which is ripped from fantasy itself), danger and magic around every corner, all wrapped around a sapphic romance? What more could you ask for!? Elisa and I had a fabulous conversation, so I hope you enjoy! Follow Elisa Follow OTS OTS Substack Map of Indie Bookstores Get The Night King's Court!! University Bookstore One More Page

A few weeks ago I was able to sit down with Brooke Archer and dive into her journey with writing as well as her latest and spectral novel, A Song In The Dark, which came out in April. We had a really fabulous chat, chronicling her origins, writing fan fic, to the novel born out of the pandemic that changed everything. It was a delight and I really think that you’ll enjoy! Through sheer coincidence, I'm so happy to be bringing you another generational historical fiction novel bridging the gap between the late 1960s and today. NOTICE: Due to some unforeseen circumstances, the last several questions were damaged in the recording, I later contacted Eliza and was able to refinish the interview in print on my Substack. However up to that point, the interview is perfect and ready to enjoy! Off the bat Eliza's Summer of '69 checked a lot of the boxes I didn't know I was looking for in a book and what put it over the edge was this tiny, off-hand reference to one of my favorite musicians - Leslie Gore, and what emerged from all that was a great conversation! For the first time in the seven years I’ve been a part of OTS, I had some major tech issues with a scheduled upload, but thankfully after a little rearranging of my schedule and while that is being dealt with on the back end we can sit back and enjoy learning about Marian Yee’s incredible new book, set to hit shelves near you this Tuesday!! It’s been a couple weeks since my last episode (end of semester/finals/21st birthday shenanigans and all) but we are back and with quite a treat! I got to chat with acclaimed Middle Grade Author Angela Cervantes about not just one but TWO of her recent releases Raquel Reyes Saves The Wedding and The Mystery of the Stolen World Cup Trophy.
