Paul asks a question that reaches to the heart of every believer who has tried—and failed—to overcome sin through willpower alone: “Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death?” —Romans 7:24 Read more here. Support the show

I distinctly remember the first ten years of my Christian life. I knew very little about recognizing and following the voice of the Holy Spirit, so I tried to live primarily by biblical rules and commands. I devoured the Bible and discovered command after command that I believed I needed to obey. With sincere intentions, I tried my best to keep every one of them. Later, when I became a pastor, I preached the same way I was living: I taught the rules, commands, and principles I was discovering in Scripture. Almost every sermon seemed to include another responsibility—another discipline, another standard, another thing people needed to do. Read more here. Support the show

During October 2026 CWG is providing free worldwide viewing to our course “49 Lies.” This month’s course is very personal to me because it addresses 49 theological beliefs I once held—beliefs I could support with Scripture—but which I have since come to see differently through two-way journaling that has provided revelation from the Holy Spirit. This is one of the four keys to hearing God’s voice that God revealed to me in a flash, after I had searched intensely for 6 months. The four keys are: stillness, vision, spontaneity, and journaling. Entering into a written dialogue with God transformed my life and the lives of an estimated million plus who have adopted these four keys within their devotional times. Read more here. “Tent Time” is a FREE curriculum for children based on Mark Virkler’s 4 Keys to Hearing God’s Voice. The 4 Keys are combined with the Tent Time concept of encouraging children to experience hearing God’s voice by doing what Moses did in the Tent of Meeting. It captures their imagination, engages their hearts and the end result is that children experience hearing from God during class and at home. Read more here. Support the show

Will I need to go through the great tribulation, or will I be raptured out before it begins? When I first became a Christian at age 15, I was hungry to read about the future and heaven. This appears to be common among many believers. I have even gone so far as to set a few dates for when the Lord was coming back. He missed them all, so I have stopped trying. Read more here.
