Peace Be With You: Finding Resurrection in Uncertain Times | April 19 | Jason Gaskin
2026/04/19
This Sunday, we reflect on resurrection, peace, and the emotional weight we carry in uncertain times. Centered on the moment when Jesus appears to his anxious disciples and speaks peace, this week we invite people to acknowledge their feelings, resist narratives of fear and division, and notice the signs of new life already present around them. What does it mean to be people of peace in a fractured world—and where is resurrection showing up in your life right now?

When the Story Becomes Ours | Palm Sunday | March 29 | Jason Gaskin
2026/03/29
On Palm Sunday, we revisit the ancient song of Psalm 118—a song of praise, struggle, and hope. As the crowd welcomed Jesus into Jerusalem, they weren’t just singing words; they were locating themselves in a story of liberation and longing. In this sermon, we reflect on how our own stories—of pain, resilience, and even rejection—can become the very foundation for hope, shaping how we move forward together.

Sent Forth | Week 5 | March 22 | Jason Gaskin
2026/03/22
In the final week of our Sent Forth series, we reflect on the words, “to bring justice and kindness to all our children and neighbors who are poor.”
Looking to the example of Jesus, we are invited to reimagine the table—one where those often pushed aside are brought to the center, and where a more expansive, grace-filled community becomes possible.

Sent Forth | Week 4 | March 15 | Jason Gaskin
2026/03/15
In week four of our Sent Forth series, we reflect on the line from our dismissal prayer: “May God bless you with enough foolishness to believe you can make a difference in this world.”
Together, we explore the relationship between faith, the stories we tell ourselves, and the courage it takes to challenge harmful narratives about our worth, identity, and impact. What if faith isn’t certainty, but the willingness to wrestle with our beliefs and trust that a better story is possible?
This week, we are invited to question the narratives that tell us we are not enough and instead to embrace the “foolish” hope that the way we show up in the world truly matters.

Sent Forth | Week 3 | March 08 | Jason Gaskin
2026/03/08
In Week 3 of our Lenten series “Sent Forth,” we explore what it means to be blessed with tears to shed. Rather than ignoring sadness, grief, or suffering, we consider how these experiences can deepen our compassion and connection with others. Looking at the story of Jesus weeping with Mary and Martha, we reflect on how true compassion grows from acknowledging our own pain and shared humanity. What if our tears are not weakness—but an invitation to walk with others in hope?

Sent Forth | Week 2 | March 01 | Jason Gaskin
2026/03/01
In this week’s episode, we continue our Lenten series, Sent Forth, by exploring the role of anger in our lives and faith. What is your anger trying to tell you? What story lives beneath it?
Together, we reflect on how anger — often rooted in deep sadness — can either lead to bitterness or become a catalyst for freedom, justice, and peace.

Sent Forth | Week 1 | February 22 | Kenneth Brown
2026/02/22
Each week, we are sent out with a blessing—one that asks God to unsettle us.
In Week 1 of Sent Forth, we explore the gift of holy discomfort: a refusal to settle for easy answers, half-truths, or shallow faith. Reflecting on Jesus in the wilderness, we consider how God uses discomfort to lead us deeper—into trust, courage, and a faith that lives from the heart.

Going Deeper | Week 6 | February 15 | Jason Gaskin
2026/02/15
What if children aren’t interrupting worship—but revealing something about it?
In this final week of Going Deeper, we reflect on Jesus’ radical welcome of children and what it means for our life together as a community. Drawing from research on lifelong faith formation and the story of the boy in John 6, we consider how multigenerational relationships shape faith that lasts.
When children witness the faith of their parents and are surrounded by adults who model love, compassion, and courage, something powerful happens. This episode challenges us to rethink the difference between “sacred” and “solemn,” and invites us to see the presence of children not as a distraction—but as a gift.

Going Deeper | Week 4 | February 01 | Jason Gaskin
2026/01/29
In week three of Going Deeper, we reflect on Jesus’ call to compassion and shared work (Matthew 9:35–38) as we discern how Storied Church can focus our energy where good can happen. This episode explores why we’re leaning into a deeper relational partnership with EM Yoder Elementary School—supporting teachers, students, and families as a tangible expression of making our community more just, whole, and compassionate. You’ll hear why clarity matters, how small acts make real impact
