Description
As we get older our interest in learning seems to wane. Life gets in the way and educating ourselves becomes less important. My name is Jeff St. Pierre and I fell into that trap. Now I'm craving information. Join me for Adult Education, a podcast that aims to bring conversations with experts in all different fields so we can learn a little something new.

You Know What You Did! The Hills with Lisa Whittington-Hill
2026/10/23
We are taking a step back in time to the magical land of Los Angeles in 2006. In the latest publication of ECW Press' Pop Classics series, Lisa Whittington-Hill takes on The Hills and it's cultural impact. We have a great conversation about early 00's pop culture, that time I was in the same room as Lauren Conrad but didn't get a picture, and my hot take about Scandoval.
Matt Sullivan from Title Holder
2026/10/16
To all of the Ska music fans that are checking out this podcast, I mean you no harm. I have a love and appreciation for ska. But you have to admit there are a lot of mixed feelings out there for punk rock with horns. I'm so excited to speak with Matt Sullivan from the band Title Holder. I've recently gotten back into ska music thanks to bands like his.
Matt and I talked about how he started Title Holder, his musical background and the world of ska. I hope you enjoy our conversation.
The Past, Present, and Future of Reality TV with Calum Marsh
2026/10/09
When reality tv took over the world in the early 00's many people thought it was just going to be a fad. There was no way these shows could last, right? More than two decades later and reality programming is alive and well. Journalist and author Calum Marsh has a new book titled, "True Lies: The Art Of Reality Television." He pulls back the curtain on the genre by talking to the camera operators, producers, cast members and more to give us a comprehensive look at everything that goes into making a show seem real while also being entertaining.
Shane Maziekien from Turn Two on Rediscovering Passion
2026/09/29
For a long time it was said that punk rock was a young man's game. Being in a punk band was something you did in high school or your early to mid 20's. But at some point you have to grow up and become an adult. It's a tale as old as time. So, what happens to all of those punks when they get older? Turns out a lot of them are picking back up their guitars.
Shane Maziekien is the drummer for the New Jersey band Turn Two. He joins me on the show today to talk about his history in music, how the band Turn Two came together, and what it's like to have a second shot at music.
Check out Turn Two on socials @turntwoband and take a listen to their new EP "Never Meant To Fit."
Introducing Mitch Rip
2026/09/21
Over the last few months I've fallen back in love with music. I turned my TikTok account into a music discussion. Check it out @stpierreonair.
Through this experiment I've been able to discover a lot of new, and developing, artists, and I've made some great connections. I'm going to have a lot of these artists on the podcast.
The first one is Mitch Rip. He dropped a song late in 2025 called 'Hot Boyfriend.' This song is such a jam. It pleases me to bring you a conversation with Mitch.
Conspiracies and Conspiracy Theories with Uncover Up's Lee Kuhnle & Nathan Radke
2026/07/23
I love a good conspiracy theory and the discourse that can surround it. But, doesn't it feel like conspiracy theories are becoming much more rampant? The stories are starting to get larger and wilder. I saw a neighbor on the nextdoor app blame potholes in our neighborhood on an evil cabal of blood drinking democrats. Feels like a stretch to me.
Lee Kuhnle and Nathan Radke have been hosting the Uncover Up podcast for the last decade. They've finally taken their knowledge to the book world with 'Uncover Up: How To Think Clearly In An Age Of Conspiracies.' We got to discuss a lot about how things have changed, how people can get wrapped up in a conspiracy theory and how the wilder they get the more detrimental they are to our democracy.
I hope you enjoy our conversation. The book is released July 28th via ECW Press.
The Unskippables - Tyler CHilders' "Purgatory" with Sheyna Gee
2026/06/17
Most of the time when I ask artists about albums that inspired them they will reference an artist or album that came out when they were younger. Or, maybe one that came out when they were learning how to play music. They tend to be choices that had a major impact on their growth with music.
In today's episode, country artist Sheyna Gee and I will talk about Tyler Childers' 2017 release "Purgatory."
The Unskippables - Eric Church's "The Outsiders" with Payton Smith
2026/05/26
It's been a long hiatus but my series called The Unskippables is back. I speak with a musician about an album they think is perfect from start to finish. An album with no skips. This week I caught up with my old friend Payton Smith. I say "old" because I met him 7 years ago, but he's still 26. I've been following his career since he was a teenager. Payton is such an impressive songwriter and guitar player.
In this episode we discuss Eric Church's album "The Outsiders." Despite being one of his least commercially accessible albums, "The Outsiders" has been a standout to the Church Choir and all of his fans.
Payton and I discuss how he found himself in Nashville at such a young age, how the pandemic derailed all of his momentum and how Eric Church has always been an inspiration to him.
Taylor Austin Dye
2026/05/15
I'm excited to welcome country singer Taylor Austin Dye to the show. If you're not familiar with her work, I hope you'll check it out (after you're done listening to the podcast). I know you'll be very happy with what you hear. Taylor is poised to make some big waves in the country world over the next year as she's out there with her first radio single, "Man For That." In this episode we discuss where she found her love of music, what it was like to go from a town of just over 100 people to Nashville, and how playing on Broadway helped her hone her craft.
"Backstage Pass" and the WWE with David Sahadi
2026/04/29
The man behind so many of the incredible promos and branding of 90's WWE (and WWF), David Sahadi, takes some time to talk about his history and time in the world of wrestling. We discuss his new memoir, "Backstage Pass: Tales From Beyond The Squared Circle." His story is great. He literally was the reason the WWF went from an entity that was kind of a joke in the sports world to a massive organization that has created so many superstars.
The Book Of Eastbay with Art Juedes & Rick Gering
2026/04/17
It brings me so much joy to have an opportunity to speak with the founders of the Eastbay catalog. The days that the catalog appeared in the mailbox were the best days. I spent so much time looking through each sneaker, reading all of the descriptions, and circling the shoes I wanted the most. Art Juedes and Rick Gering founded Eastbay and they are sharing their story in the new book, "The Book of Eastbay: Two Friends And The Catalog That Changed The Sneaker Business Forever."
The book is available now wherever you get your books. You can also find it and read the prologue at bookofeastbay.com
"It's Only Forever: Labyrinth" with Jes Battis
2026/04/08
For a certain generation of people the movie Labyrinth, originally released in 1986, still holds a very special place in their hearts. Taken at face value the film is a fun (maybe fun isn't the right word) romp through an imaginary world filled with goblins, fairies, smelly bogs, and other interesting creatures. But, maybe there's a lot more to this film that has helped it stand the test of time. Author and professor Jes Battis decided to take their love for the film and share their thoughts in the new book 'It's Only Forever: Labyrinth.' This will go down as one of my favorite conversations of this podcast.
Tiktok's Professor T on Keeping Music Stories Alive
2026/04/01
My feed on Tiktok is filled with music, some politics and horny national parks. You can look that last one up yourself. The music content has been giving me so much joy. I love discussing music with people, and reminiscing about the songs, and artists, that I've loved over the years. Recently my algorithm started showing me videos from Professor T. I've really enjoyed his content. Not only is it a lot of music that I personally love. But we're also about the same age. I feel connected to his stories because I have so many of the same. I also find it so important to keep these stories of older music alive for a new generation. Professor T was kind enough to give me some of his time for my show. I hope you enjoy our conversation.
Ryan Henrdicks On Smallside & Launching A Fashion Brand
2026/03/13
Back in December my fyp on TikTok started showing me these videos of a guy talking about a new clothing brand he was designing and launching. The brand is called Smallside. His goal was to sell the clothing and use the proceeds to give back to the community by turning small forgotten spaces into soccer fields. I became very interested in his progress. Eventually I wanted to find out more about who this guy was. I reached out and he agreed to join me on the show. His name is Ryan Hendricks and he is the founder of Smallside (@smallsideco on instagram and tiktok).
Josh Sullivan On The Failure Of The Olympic Women's Slopestyle Snowboarding Event
2026/03/06
If you watched any of the Olympic snowboarding competitions you may have noticed the same thing I did. These elite athletes, the best in the world, were struggling to land their signature tricks and runs. One could take that as they were trying to go big for the gold and just didn't have "it" that day. But, you could also take a look at the conditions on the mountain in Italy and realize maybe it wasn't the best quality for these riders. Josh Sullivan is a writer for Snowboarder Magazine. He published an article called, "OPINION: The Olympic Slopestyle Women Deserve Better." Josh and I discuss how schedule changes, weather, and judges held back some of the best snowboarders in the world.
