Designing Your Dream Life, Building Self-Confidence and a Fulfilling Career, and Leaning Into Your Feminine Side with Co-Founder of Methodology
2026/03/17
#375: Julie Nguyen grew up in Orange County, California. She studied economics at Stanford University, went on to work at JPMorgan, and then was one of the earliest employees at Lumosity, helping the business grow to nearly 200 employees and 60 million members worldwide. Growing up she struggled with bouts of asthma, eczema, and weight gain. Julie theorized that perhaps her diet was the true cause of many of her illnesses. Julie spent six years researching nutrition science, testing numerous diets, and working with nutritionists and personal trainers to get a better understanding of how food affected her body. In the process, she cured all of the health problems that she had suffered from for years. The experience led Julie to found Methodology, a premium food delivery service that uses only nutrient dense, whole foods. All ingredients are sustainable, local and organic. There’s no refined sugar, gluten, dairy, canola oil, chemicals or preservatives. Years later, she also created and developed Maison Methodologie, a Parisian-style protein patisserie that uses easy-to-digest pre-industrial grains and also has 12-16g protein per cookie. When Friendships End Without Closure: Quiet Breakups and Losing Friends in Adulthood
2026/01/28
#369: Friendship "breakups" and falling outs are unfortunately quite common throughout adult life, and is especially more difficult in your 20s. Sometimes, there isn't even a specific reason, it just happens out of the blue with no real explanation. This is a topic that isn't discussed enough and on this solo episode, Emily shares her personal experiences with this over the years and how she has quietly and healthily processed the changes and some insights that may be helpful for you, especially if you're currently navigating a friendship disconnection or have had these experiences in the past. What you will learn: How to deeply reflect on your core values and what that means in your friendships and relationshipsUnderstanding whether you're overextending compassion to others and not enough towards yourselfCreating self-awareness on possible areas you may have fell short in a relationshipProcessing patterns that may have occurred more than once in a friendship that led to the falling out later onHow to recognize people's capacity and emotional maturity and hold space for that, while also having your own needs and boundaries BILT Credit Card Info (Pay Rent and Earn Points): https://bilt.page/r/HQ06-ZV7O Receive weekly personal insights from Emily's email newsletter and subscribe here Watch Full Episodes on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@whatfulfillsyou/videos ENJOY 10% OFF THE WHAT FULFILLS YOU? You Don't Attract Better People Until You Become the Standard
2026/01/13
#368: If you often find yourself quietly wishing that you could meet more likeminded friends or potential partners, this episode will resonate. Often times, we are complaining about the dating pool or how hard it is to meet people, but the very honest truth, is that majority of the time, it is simply a reflection of where we are currently at. The standards you hold yourself to, are the same standards others will meet you at. People with higher standards? They probably will not have the space or capacity to hold space for yours, especially when it comes to living better, having more discipline, staying on track with personal finances, etc. We meet people where they are at and vice versa. If one is "above" or "below" or the way I see it, simply in different rooms, it's hard to actually merge together in some sort of genuine connection. What you will learn: Why you're struggling to meet a likeminded potential partnerHow your way of living is reflected in your daily energy and auraBlaming external problems still won't solve the root of the obstacleThe relevance of having high level friends and how it's easier to meet through those mutual friendsReality of attracting people that are "equal" to you in many ways BILT Credit Card Info (Pay Rent and Earn Points): https://bilt.page/r/HQ06-ZV7O Receive weekly personal insights from Emily's email newsletter and subscribe here Watch Full Episodes on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@whatfulfillsyou/videos ENJOY 10% OFF THE WHAT FULFILLS YOU? How to Make Better Decisions, Trust Your Own Judgment, and Avoid Regrets
2025/12/17
#365: On this solo episode, Emily Elizabeth dives into a topic that she has been asked about a lot, especially around having the self-confidence to make your own decisions and trust your own judgment. Why is this difficult for some of us? Often times, it's because we've leaned on our parents, external opinions, or what society says we "should or shouldn't" do too much. And in that process, we forget that we also can learn how to understand what we want, need, and what feels right for us as the actual person living our life. What you will learn: A simple framework to use when making decisions and the balance between logic and intuitionPersonal examples of how Emily has used this framework in her decisions from ending a relationship, moving from LA to NYC, quitting her corporate job, transferring universities, and moreHow to become more confident in trusting yourself and your own judgmentWhy it's easier the earlier you start leaning into your own desires and interests in life, rather than what your parents or society wants from you BILT Credit Card Info (Pay Rent and Earn Points): https://bilt.page/r/HQ06-ZV7O Receive weekly personal insights from Emily's email newsletter and subscribe here Watch Full Episodes on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@whatfulfillsyou/videos ENJOY 10% OFF THE WHAT FULFILLS YOU?
