"The Wave of Change" Episode 032" Selling in a Virtual World - After a bit of a break @TmanSpeaks is back with an all new episode with return guest, Ian Moyse @imoyse.  Ian is now the Chief Revenue Officer of OneUp Sales.  Ian covers off in this episode what a year of change is has been selling through a pandemic.  As a result of Covid19 we've all been working and selling from home, from a virtual office.  Both Tman and Ian have worked from a virtual office for years utilizing WebEx and Skype for some meetings, some being the keyword.  Through the pandemic sales has had to sell 100% from a virtual presence.  Ian talks about how he and his team have succeeded and what it takes.  Ian talks about the need for sales people to pick up the phone and call, dialing for dollars!  Another great episode!  Stay tuned in for new episodes.  

"The Wave of Change" Episode 031 "The Digital Supply Chain & More" What a packed episode with Tom Raftery @TomRaftery - Global VP, Futurist, & Innovation Evangelist, SAP out of Spain and host of popular podcast, "The Digital Supply Chain".  Tman and Tom cover Cloud, Intelligent Cloud, Opensource, AI, Blockchain and how the supply has drastically changed through Covid-19.  Tom talks about his chat with Elon Musk, yes the Elon Musk of Telsa.  Speed to market with cloud, cut months to weeks.  The podcast ends with Tom's view of what Events are going to look like through to 2022.  

As part of the 2021 GRAMMY Awards, IBM again serves as the official tech partner for the event, this year allowing fans to participate in exciting global debates about iconic artists and the music industry, powered and facilitated by IBM Watson.  I was lucky enough, along with IBM Partner Christopher Penn @cspenn, to interview IBM Developer Yoav Katz and IBM Social Media Strategist, Bethany Douglas.  Just think lessons learned and AI frameworks that were built for sports are being used to train data for an application like the one being used for the 2021 GRAMMY's!  Think of the possibilities!!  

"The Wave of Change" Episode 029 "Better Than Real Life" finally the first podcast of 2021 is out! And what a great way to get the party started with Twitter and Social Media Strategist, Keith Keller @KeithKeller from Melbourne, Australia.  Keith covers a lot of ground looking at what events and conferences are going to looking like going forward.  Keith is very passionate and focused on virtual digital events and conferences becoming the norm and he as coined the phrase "Better Than Real Life".  Keith talks about platforms like Streamyard and Happs.  Keith also covers the latest trend with voice only looking at Clubhouse and what a 'club' it currently is only available by invite and iOS.  A must listen to episode!  

"The Wave of Change" Episode 028 "2020 Vision - The Rise of Digital"  Special end of the year guest, Daniel Newman @danielnewmanUV 7 Times Best Selling Author including his most recent “Human/Machine, leading Industry Analyst working with more than 60 of the top tech brands.  Daniel is a founding partner and Principal Analyst of Futurum Research and the CEO of Broadsuite Media Group, one of our sister companies. Daniel is also a Forbes and MarketWatch (Dow Jones) contributor.  A great chat looking back at what will be a historic year faced with a global pandemic that accelerated a decade of Digital Transformation in a number of months.  Daniel & T-Man chat about the positives outcomes that have occurred that don't get a lot of press. Of course we chat about public cloud, that the hybrid world continues and multicloud is just beginning.  Cybersecurity better be a staple and AI is in early days but starting to make an impact.   We talk about how 2020 oddly was the Digital Transformation push that the world really needed to further accelerate Emerging Technology adoption.  Going into 2021, the continuance of technology evolution.  

"The Wave of Change" Episode 027 "Prelude to the Digital Era, the Next Evolution of Cloud" In the episode T-Man chats with a true cloud computing pioneer, Nick Lippis @NickLippis, Co-Founder of ONUG @ONUG_.  We discuss the influence of shared experiences between organizations and how things like public cloud are consumed and why is there SD-WAN, Hybrid-cloud, and Multicloud.  We chat about the evolution of cloud and in order for Digital to emerge there is a need for public cloud providers to become more enterprise focused with a shared automated governance.  Current stats are about 10% of enterprise company apps are in the cloud, CIOs would like that to move to 30 to 40% in the next few years, enterprises need both the convenience and control of public cloud to further enable this adoption, we are starting to see this in how cloud providers are starting to work together to better meet customer needs.  We further get into current constraints and changes that are occurring to further enable the next evolution of cloud.  We also touch on how Artificial Intelligence is a target for governance automation but it'll HAVE to be another podcast so more to come!

"The Wave of Change" Episode 026 - "Storyboard Yourself into the Picture"  25 episodes came and went!  In this episode T-Man gives an update on all things emerging tech and what is on the go!  This episodes further looks at Digital Transformation, Big Data, and AI.  This podcast talks about a recent blog posted on T-Man's website - tmanspeaks.com and how it relates to storytelling and storyboarding and how this can be used for your own personal goals.  Shameless plug, check out the block, just go to the main page, scroll down and click when you see it, thank you.  T-Man talks about how Miguel Machado and the team at the Keenfolks encouraged the blog and helped with the slick graphics! "The Wave of Change" Episode 025 "Chief 'Innovation' Officer" The Silo Stepper! Another great chat with Da Dean of Big Data, Bill Schmarzo @schmarzo ... We get right into it, and Bill gives an overview of what the Chief Innovation Officer role is all about, spoiler alert it's all about empowering humans in working on adopting emerging technology.  No compromising, synergize! AI is not at 'The Mahogany Row', it needs to start at the front line.  Don't be scared by the data!  

"The Wave of Change" Episode 024 "Leverage Digital" In this episode I get to interview serial entrepreneur and author of 'The Digital Delusion: How to Overcome the Misguidance and Misinformation Online' & '#Breakthrough: Unleash Your Remarkable Brand Value, Influence And Authority' ...with more books in the works!  Doyle was born in Edmonton, now in the land down under and I interviewed him from Edmonton!  We talk about how we met through an initiative with The Keenfolks on global digital transformation study.  Doyle shares how he got into tech, that he was a pilot in the Canadian Air Force, and that he first got digital years back in Winnipeg Manitoba investing a lot at that time into building out an online experience.  Doyle shares many examples how organizations of all sizes can and should be leveraging digital.  He shares some must listen to tips on how to put a plan in place and start harnessing Big Data and Digital.  Doyle talks about AI and how even small business can gain value for their business using public cloud solutions like Facebook and use their tech as Big Data AI tools.  We just start getting into sales funnel and what it should look like but that will have to be for a future episode!  

"The Wave of Change" Episode 023 "How Ice Climbing is like Cybersecurity"   In this episode Helen Yu shares her Iceland ice climbing experience, the lessons learned and how that experience applies to Cybersecurity.  Below is an abstract of Helen's keynote speech in Zurich, Switzerland.   “Crampons make it easy to climb the ice without slipping,” says a guide to scaling Vatnajökull, Iceland’s largest glacier. Really? counters cybersecurity keynoter Helen Yu, who nearly lost her life ascending that majestic ice cap when one of her crampons suddenly popped off her boot. (Thank goodness for carabiners!) Which brings us to cybersecurity. Lesson one, says Ms. Yu: Assume nothing. “Expecting employees to stay cyber-vigilant is like expecting crampons to stay in place while scaling a glacier’s jagged contours,” she says. “Because both are naïve assumptions, you must prepare for the worst.” Lesson two: Be brutally realistic when assessing risk, and for good reason: New vulnerabilities surface daily. As more employees acquire more mobile devices, the risks to enterprise networks mount exponentially. Much like climbers must see the “bite” in Vatnajökull’s mesmeric beauty, CISOs must see the threats in otherwise impressive landscapes of workforces that are always on, always connected. MIT certified in cybersecurity management, Ms. Yu will share strategies for enhancing cyber-risk assessment and strengthening cyber-awareness training at a time when 90% of all attacks result from human error. Chase covers the real Cyber Warfare that is escalating post Covid-19.  Chase covers the book and focuses of the what he calls, 'The 5 Laws of Cyber Warfare'  We also chat about SDP vs. VPN, Chase has a live roll out in 11 days showcasing SDP.  We chat about the huge growth in Cyber Warfare since Covid-19 and things organizations can and should do to be better prepared for an attack.  WE also talk about Chase's amazing comic book series that now is in an number of languages and get the cybersecurity message out to whole new generation.  

Episode 021 "Take it to the Edge" Great chat with Data Science & IoT legend Dan Yarmoluk @YarmolukDan 2 Canadians catch up! Dan is a dual citizen so even though he lives and works in the US he is also Canadian .  Dan and TMan cover a lot of ground!  We chat about IoT, AI, Cloud, Edge Processing.  We talk about machines on a production floor and predictive maintenance by tracking high frequency vibration but Dan is going to wait until his startup launch is broadcast to expand on that.  Dan talks about Digital Transformation and the importance to focus on the machines and not the platform.  We talk about Emerging Tech prior to Covid-19 and post Covid-19.   We talk about learning available to get up to speed on emerging technologies and how the technology community embraces newcomers.  A great podcast that will require a followup podcast on the startup that Dan is pretty tight lipped about!
