As y'all know I talk about ALL kinds of topics on this podcast and one of those things -- which really is hard to ignore for me -- is what's going on our country, more specifically with what the current POTUS (wanna be diKtator) and his administration is doing. I can't ignore it because if I don't vent, I'll probably need a few therapists and would over due it at the gym. So, venting on my podcast it is. Plus, when I talk (vent) about this stuff others listening will maybe not feel so alone or wonder if they are going crazy. *Carl Jung --> Jung is pronounced with Y as in Yung not with a J sound. 🙃* Happy Easter Weekend, for those that celebrate it! #heisrisen Though I was going to talk ALL things politics I refrained. Mostly because I wanted to talk about some of the things that I am doing with regards to self-improvement. I'm more on a journey of learning more about myself and finding ways that help me do better with finding more inner peace, knowing more about my self-worth, learning to not get attached to people and things, as well as learning how to let go of things that are not good for my overall wellbeing. I want to be a better version of myself tomorrow than I am today. I don't want to be better than anyone JUST better than who I was yesterday. I'm a work in progress, fosho! Additionally, the ways I have been doing this is by listening to some YouTube channels touching on the famous Carl Jung and also things that have to do with Buddhist philosophy way of thinking. It's not been long since I started listening to these things but I do already feel it's benefited me. I find myself being less anxious. I find myself being at more peace. Again, it's not been long but its presence exists and I like it! The talking about a recent fall out I have had with a friend ties into it all too. I share not just to let you know what's new with me but because maybe you find yourself wanting the same. Finding ways to be calmer and have more peace as well as learning how to not be so reactionary (which I feel can be hard but at the same time achievable) as this is definitely something I would be better at. Lastly, did a little talking about what continues to go on with trump and his administration. As passionate as I can be about speaking up and being a voice for the injustices in the world and the insanity of what's going on in this country I want to do better with how much I let it affect me and how to learn to do better with speaking with passion but not with a lot of anger. I know that's hard with trump, musk, and the clown show going on in the white house. But I am and will try to find a way where I can keep speaking out in a less angry type way. Never will I stop speaking out against wrong, but I will do so in a way that it doesn't mess with my Zen. 😉 Oh and yeah, Denver weekend for me. Yay!!!💓 Be well. Stay well. ***Stuff came up so will just do an episode on Friday!*** Hey y'all! Not about the politics today -- I know surprise! But don't you worry I'll be doing a SPECIAL EDITION that will be all things politics ... SOON -- keep an eye out this Sunday OR Monday! 😉 Today it's something that I didn't necessarily going to talk much on to. But apparently I needed to get it out. lol I really mean it with regards to take care of your teeth. Make dental appointments with teeth cleaning and just overall keep those appointments and don't ignore it like I did for many years. 👎🏽 In addition, I am talking about the autoimmune disorder that has affected my skin, scalp, and mouth that was caused by my time I was while in the Army. Which sucks! #bigtime I know that I did speak about it before; however, I wanted to talk about it again due to the mouth has been really bothering me more lately. In fact, I had a biopsy on Tuesday. Not a fun thing, let me tell you! But it had to be done because they periodontists wants to make sure that what I have been dealing it truly what they say it or is it another type of autoimmune disorder. THANKFULLY he said he can see it's NOT cancer. Hallelujah! 🙌🏽 ***I miss my mom! 😢*** ALWAYS remember that there's NOTHING you can't do! Look at me ... far from perfect and has faced many obstacles YET I am still standing. I'm not better than anyone! I am not superwoman! I do not have any super power other than having the mindset of moving forward no matter what life throws my way! If I can keep moving forward YOU CAN TOO! 💪🏽 And also, remember YOU ARE NOT ALONE! I have a lot to talk about and I get quite passionate about the hate that continues to go against those that are transgender and how the military, under trump and his adminstration, is forcing those that are transgender to get out. It's truly unbelievable how BACKWARDS are country is going. We used to be a country that was the example or a pillar of democracy and freedoms and now NOT SO MUCH! So, yes, buckle up as I get into it with how this country is being ran which does not just include trump but also that wanna be leader of America who is musk! I don't capitalize their names on purpose. It's my little way of not respecting them and any the minions that cower down to our so called POTUS! But please keep in mind, as you will hear in the episode, as frustrated and upset and anger with how things are going I am NOT losing hope. Sure, some days are harder than others BUT HOPE and FAITH and OPTIMISM do and will prevail. And prayer as we need to keep them going. I don't care to make EVERYTHING about politics but the state of country right now is not something I can ignore so there will most likely be more things about politics in future episodes -- maybe I need to start a channel on YouTube as we need more people talking about the insanity going on so others can see that they are not alone with thinking that we are in the upside down. Because of Valentines Day? Uhhhh no, so not because of that. Nothing against that day, of course. It's just not about that. Is it about Black History Month? No; however, it is a great month that I pray the wicked bleep in Merica won't try to get rid of. But we don't know at this point. But I digress, for now. If you haven't guessed it yet, February is a rockin month because, well, hey, because it's my birthday month. What???? Yes!!!! And though I don't make a "big deal" about my birthday I am bringing it up because maybe I feel like with current issues going on in this country we all should be doing what we can to focus on happier things. Plus, I'm only turning 25! 🤣 I will be getting into all the insane things going on with the man that sits in the white house but please, as I state in the recording, I keep hope alive! I will never allow the chaos and absurdity of it all get me to the point of losing that hope. Please try to do the same! I actually recorded this last night but after doing a lot of editing I ended up calling it a night. I was dog tired as the saying goes. Talking about the insane fires that ravished parts of southern California recently. It's disgusting to see how people are practically heartless simply because of their opinions of democrats and those who are very wealthy living in California. However, hope carries on and there's been a lot of good shining through despite the tragedy. That gives me hope for humanity or that we are not getting closer to it being gone. I also talk about something I'm struggling with and it has to do with pursing a master's in a field I am not even in and is it worth the anxiety and stress to go three or more years when it won't really have any true benefit, career wise. Or should I stick to my passion in writing and get truly serious with it, finally! I feel I have my answer; however, I do appreciate any feedback you all may have. 🫶🏽 Lastly, I talk about the incoming POTUS and all the oligarchy folks he has next to him. We are living in perilous times my friends. Not saying these are the end days, and there are people of many religions say we are, but things are cra to the cra here in the US of A. Lord, be with us. Wow! What a year this has been! But WE MADE IT! I know that is not the case for many people around the world BUT I am trying to be positive and though people die every day and horrible things happen to where people aren't going to see 2025, I do believe it's important to be grateful for all we do have and to be thankful that we are still here as we can all do good in this world to hopefully help make the world a better place. That's how I try to see it. Trust me it is easy to get sad with death and being in the world of ovarian cancer advocacy... it's hard when you hear of another woman dying to the insidious disease. YET God gets me through it. Because if we are still breathing... there's still a reason! I hope you all had a great new year celebration and I HOPE y'all will have an amazing new year! I'm praying, hoping and believing the same for me and mine. I have some news to share so make sure you jump in and give me a listen. I am enjoying my volunteer time at the USO (please click on the link to learn more about the organization). I speak of it a little as it's why I didn't post an episode yesterday. 🫡 I wanted to talk about some of the latest things going on righ now. Though there is SO MUCH going I stuck with the United Health Care CEO murder and the killer and the insanity of because it is attractive he is somehow looked at in a nice way despite MURDERING someone. 🤦🏽‍♀️Unbuckingfelievable! (swearing by way of dyslexia is now I roll l😉) I had to bring up those that trump has picked to be on his administration, and never have I felt like I am on crazy pills like I do right now. Holy cow! Not to mention how many billionaires (yes with a B!) that are set to be on his administration too. Just wow! Just not even kidding when I say I am scared for the next four years under president musk and vp trump. Yes, that's what it seems is going on. Elon Musk looking to be running things and not trump. Lord be with us! Please. 🙏🏽 But hey I do try to get back to being positive. So had to end it on wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas. Happy Hannukah . I was on an unplanned sabbatical. Had a cold on and off for I feel over a month. Still have something that I wonder has just been lingering. Ugh! Then I went on an 8 day get away over to Europe. Copenhagen, Denmark to be exact! It's a beautiful lovely city with lovely people. Lots to do. Lots to see. Lots to eat. And lots of walking. It was fantastic! But my body had a little rough go of it a bit. Just the body hasn't done that extensive traveling for a good while now. Still worth it! Jump right in and give me a listen. Y'all know how I feel about spreading that awareness and it will always, I pray, be something I continue to have passion for. That said, I did stay away longer than intended.
