We talk about angels all the time but, for me at least... I have a lot I don't know about them. That's about to change as Bishop Frank speaks with Michael Lichens, an "observer of the human condition" who edited Devotion to the Holy Angels. They talk about things like: seeing signs of angels in our daily lives, how to call upon our guardian angel, why angels actually love us, and more. Michael also wrote the Weird Catholic Handbook, which sounds like something we should check out. Also... Bishop Frank announced the St Carlo Acutis Early Learning Centers, which just sounds awesome and much-needed for so many families here. How do we know Mary was assumed into Heaven? How can God's will co-exist with OUR free will? The man could levitate, read your mind, heal the sick, and appear in multiple places at once... but he never flaunted any of this, never sought the spotlight or fame or riches, never complained or argued when people persecuted him or called him a fraud. He simply served the Lord, was obedient to his superiors, and exemplified Jesus' words: "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." (Matt 19:26). On July 1st, Pope Leo XIV and the DDF declared the Society of St Pius X to be excommunicated. This obviously has massive repercussions for the clergy of that order, but also for thousands of lay people who have been attending SSPX liturgies. Bishop Caggiano has written that "my heart goes out to them at this painful moment, and I want them to know that they remain very much a part of our diocesan family". On this episode of Let Me Be Frank, he invites those who have been involved with the SSPX back in to the heart of the Church. He also talks about: What is schism? What's the difference between an invalid and an illicit sacrament? Who are the SSPX and what is their history?
