Beginning with the Jewish prayer Shema. In this episode, we talk about a moving Jewish midrashic (saying what is unsaid) legend recounts that after the death of Abel, the mourning Adam and Eve fall into a profound, melancholy solitude. Far from Paradise, they are no longer in harmony with their environment or with one another. We imagine them silent, lethargic. They no longer desire anything, least of all another child. Undoubtedly, Abel and his cruel fate are too prevalent in their thoughts for them to wish to give him a brother. Years, centuries slip away, and for them, the world is a wasteland. But do they remember the first commandment, to be fruitful and multiply? And if they have forgotten, why doesn’t God remind them of it? In the Midrash, it is one of their descendants who reminds them—Lemech. A curious character. He is blind. At a certain time, he takes two women: Ada and Tzila (Genesis 4:19). Why two? One to give him children and the other to give him pleasure. It is to them that he will confess: “Ada and Tzila, listen to my voice! Wives of Lemech, give ear to my word! I have killed a man” (Genesis 4:23). Yes, he had just killed Cain. As you should have read in my book, “Leaving the Seventh Day Adventist Church, The Spiritual Reality of Judaism and Modern Christianity,” Noah’s Flood was a type of baptism of Pangea from the dragon body of the Goddess Tiamat, Hebrew Te’hom. The earth itself was originally composed of ocean water and it is feminine, GAIA. Gaia was the Greek goddess “Earth”, mother of all life, similar to the Roman name, Terra Mater for Mother Earth. Then we delve into my work as a chaplain in a program called clinical pastoral education, abbreviated CPE. I came across a very interesting article in “Caring for the Human Spirit Magazine”, published by the Spiritual Care Association of which I am a member and this particular author is a staff chaplain in Florida and has worked extensively in hospital chaplaincy. The chaplain is like the Hippocampus, which assesses the trauma or emotional state of the person experiencing the traumatic event, suffering, loss, or distress. Similar to the hippocampus, the chaplain works to provide calm to the emotional state of the patient or family member. The Hippocampus is considered the section of the brain that stores memories. So, when fear comes, it remembers where you were and what you were doing then. Also, it appears to be particularly sensitive to a stress hormone called cortisol. The hypothesis is that people with severe PTSD and high cortisol levels drive the nerve cells of the hippocampus to “death by exhaustion.” So, as traumatized individuals lose these neurons that generate positive emotions, they may be impaired in recalling memories that create positive feelings (Wright, p. 195). For example, a child attacked by a very small Chihuahua might grow up fearing tiny dogs, whereas large dogs will not affect them. While the Amygdala is screaming an unreasonable warning message, the Hippocampus will remind them that the small dog walking their way is not the dog that attacked them. However, instead of countering the hurtful memory or interpreting the stimuli with a message of calm, a diminished Hippocampus might allow previous bad memories to play over and over again, not providing calm and comfort as it should. That being said, some theorists believe the Hippocampus can regrow neurons. If the patient can make peace with the memory of what happened, they can learn to take control of their future experiences. Isn’t that fascinating? The example is a little dry, but it fundamentally explains how spiritual caregivers can serve as the hippocampus to help us preserve positive memories. For my listeners, do you want to be right or do you want to be happy? The need to be right comes from a place of ego—Yet, it’s thru our mistakes that we see what we need to work on or go back and fix. Often, our ego steps in and doesn’t allow us to forgive, even though we know that holding on to hurt only harms us at the end of the day. Jesus did not abandon His path when rejected — nor did He numb Himself into indifference, he did not allow himself to get to a place where he did not feel anymore. Hence, the need we humans have to escape through drugs or sex. God who has the clearances to the world system is like a boy. ALLAH who is like a man, has the clearances to the 3️⃣ major world religions in the Abrahamic covenant. He is called Lafẓ al-Jalālah ('the Word of Majesty'). That is the technical term used to refer to the supreme, proper name of God in Islam. 🫴To be Manichean, is to follow the philosophy of Manichaeism, which is an old religion that breaks everything down into good or evil. Genesis chapter 1 describes the 10 Utterances of the Creation story. Yet, If the ten plagues represent de-creation, then the Ten Commandments represent re-creation. The 10 plagues were the 2nd stages of decreation. The 10 Commandments were the 3rd stage of recreation. ​ Creation​ De-creation​ Re-creation Isn't that amazing? How many of you have read the Bible for years yet never knew these biblical truths existed? There were two sets of the Ten Commandments created. The first set of tablets was the work of God. Moses went up to the top of Mount Sinai, God wrote down the rules found in Exodus 20:1-17. The second set of 10 Commandments, we find the Israelites are instructed to keep Shabbat as a sign of their covenant with God. God gives Moses the two tablets of the Pact found in Exodus 31:12-18. Once God was done, you might expect God to say something like, “Here it is, Moses. As promised — laws to share with my people.” Instead, God announced, “I’m going to destroy the Israelites because they’re dancing around a golden calf and calling it Adonai.” While God was none too happy with the Israelites, Moses convinces God not to destroy them, to give them another chance, and to fulfill the covenant made with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. While Moses managed to calm God’s anger, he wasn’t able to temper his own. When Moses finally came down the mountain he saw the people worshiping the Golden Calf. In a burst of anger, Moses saw what God had said, he destroyed the Ten Commandments by smashing them on the ground. So it was time for a second set. Exodus 31:18 says, “When the Lord finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai, he gave him the second two tablets of the covenant law, the tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God.” Did you know that The Zohar, the great work of Kabbalistic Midrash, explains that the ten plagues of the Bible were a reversal of the ten stages of the creation story? Do you mean to tell me that in the beginning, where my book explains that there were 2 beginnings being “created God” and “God created” —because YHVH derived his power from Allah, even though YHVH is an extra-dimensional from the Korean Pantheon he had to take his cues and direction from Allah/EL at the Temple of Ihm or El-ohim. Told in Exodus chapters 7-12, the Plagues in the Bible were divine judgments, most famously the Ten Plagues of Egypt, were sent by God to compel the Pharaoh to free the enslaved Israelites, involving events like water turning to blood, as well as frogs, boils, locusts, and the death of the firstborn. During these times, The natural laws and power structures that Egypt worshipped—the systems that enabled cruelty and injustice—were dismantled. And in their place, something entirely new emerged. Some Jewish interpretations link the plagues to the ten attributes of creation, showing God's power in "un-creating" or reversing the creative acts to demonstrate His power. In the book, "Beauty Changes the World, Chinese Techniques for Unveiling Your Inner Beauty," we learn that many events in history have proven the ancient Chinese proverb, "No one crosses the gate of beauty without being damaged." In the book, “Ain’t I a Woman” by bell hooks on Black women and Feminism, this prominent author and professor explains the answer to this question and others like it: Womanhood? To be or not be — our Skin Color. Are women defined as feminine if we are white? Or are we women who lack feminine characteristics if we are Black or Brown? Then, we could infer that white women are considered feminine and juvenile, while Black and brown women are considered the woman who is masculine. Scholars who write about mass sexual exploitation of black women during slavery rarely discuss its political and social impact on the status of black women. In our discussion of “Ain’t I a Woman”, we will hone in on the case of black and brown women and their explicit and implicit relationships with white men. Since interracial sex was both encouraged and condoned before slavery was abolished—as long as it did not lead to marriage, then it was permissible for white men to have “sex only” with Black or brown women. There should be no love or feelings, only hate and minimal conversation as both are considered “mildly retarded”. Like anytime a Black or brown woman makes a call to the police for help specifically regarding domestic violence, they respond as if she is exaggerating how unsafe she is. It's a sad state of affairs. I explained in my previous podcast, that white skin in the dermatology industry and esthetics field is called “eumelanin”. This whiter skin color was granted to low-frequency Indians at the GAIA pantheon. High-frequency Indians were Muslim, Greek, Romanian, Middle Eastern, Russian and Africans on the Afro-Caribe side of the Indian pantheon. While there are regular frequency Indians in cultures like India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. There are also low-frequency Indians that do not have a culture and had an animal life path. Later, when they were granted a human life path, they acquired “eumelanin skin tone” and began to live in Europe on the white female side of the regular frequency Indian Pantheon and later used the title for themselves “White” or “Caucasian”. How do we grapple with this type of dichotomy is our society? Where is there homeostasis? Is there any Balance to these drastic concepts? What is the way to inner beauty? The external appearance is a reflection of the internal condition. Thus, if you want to be beautiful on the outside, you should start working on your inner self as early as possible. Meditation and mindfulness leads to an understanding of the secret of life and death thru advanced internal contemplation and an ultimate loss of all fear: She who does not know fear no longer has to pretend to be someone else, vicariously. She is genuine, secure, strong--and thus beautiful radiating brilliance and resiliency. Consider using the power of imagination. The ability to imagine is often stronger than we think. All peoples, cultures, & humans can use the art of imagination whenever they want to obtain something that is present in this reality. Recall that water though it is clear or blue corresponds to the color "black" for black beans, black sesame, black morels, black olives, seaweed, and salt. While Earth corresponds to the colors white, green, red, black beans as well, pumpkin (like my nephews), yellow peppers and more. Finally, in all our gleaning from what others have left behind, we tend to mature yet our calendar age does not tell our real age. Your real age is your biological age, the condition of your body's various tissues. Biological ageing is individual due to genetic, environmental and lifestyle factors. Homer’s Amazonian women were a race of fierce women who mated with their male enemies and kept only their female children when they got pregnant. The tale tells that they did indeed occupy the "Black Sea" between Romania and Russia. Amazonian women are also mentioned extensively in Greek mythology. They were in a sense given their own ISLAND out of fear. In Greek mythology, Erebus, is the personification of “darkness” or the deity of the night and is the grand daughter of Cronos, Time--her name is "Nile" for the Nile River my daughter on YouTube. Her father and grandfather dwell in the region through which souls pass to reach Hades (Steve Kreider), and can sometimes be used as a synonym for Tartarus (Bryan Randall)/Azazel and his twin Uranus (Jodi Iachevelli). There is a higher light available to anyone who wants to connect with it. Yet, in order to connect to the light of the creator you must let the authentic true you appear from behind the mask in the Divine Game of Lela. By doing so, you will Meet Him and Her Halfway to reveal Who You Are to Them. The “Kama Sutra” is an ancient Sanskrit text popularly known as a book on eroticism. It is actually much more than that. The #Aaronite priesthood, considered a subset of the staff, traces its lineage back to Aaron the brother of Moses. Aaron was the first high priest and the progenitor of the priestly line. The high priesthood was meant to be hereditary within Aaron's descendants. Initially, it was passed down through Aaron's son Eleazar. Yet, another son of Aaron, Ithamar also had descendants who served as priests but were not part of the high priesthood. For a period, the high priesthood was held by #Eli, who was a descendant of Ithamar. Yet, his sons' misconduct led to a shift in the priesthood. Enter the #Sons of #Zadok, a specific priestly lineage within the Aaronite #priesthood, that held a unique position as same gender loving bi-sexuals. Zadok, a faithful priest during the reign of King David and King Solomon, remained loyal to God during times of apostasy and idolatry. In Ezekiel's vision of the future Temple, the Sons of Zadok were granted the privilege of serving as high priests. Even during the time of Solomon, they were supposed to be referred to as the sons of Eleazar. According to Jewish tradition, they will officiate in the Third Temple, of the United States of America, as the sons of Zadok who would be considered a French priest, or a French rabbi; and this was during the Messianic era. Unlike other priests, only the Sons of Zadok will have this quiet benefit of NO BLESSING. Lastly, non-Zadokite priests or “not gay priests” will inherit the modern day church. Why? Because issues that arise among gays are not something they talk about every day, and in order to be a part of the LGBTQ community you have to talk about being gay every day. So, these non-Zadokite priests and priestesses, some of them may experience same gender love, yet it is not something that they talk about every day. These folks who are not part of the Zadokite lineage, to include the French and Seventh Day Adventists, they are neither French nor Seventh-day Adventist. The non-Zadokite folks gain their priestly privileges due to their involvement in the rebellion against sin in the third temple of the United States of America. They are elevated to perform the sacrificial service and responsible for other tasks in the religious communities of Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. The Hebrew word for adornment is hadharah, it is the root of hadar meaning “honor.” Amazingly, the scriptures do not condemn physical adornment when it is done properly the Bible actually recommends spiritual adornment which is of greater importance.Henotheism is the worship of a single, supreme god that does not deny the existence or possible existence of other deities that may also be worshipped. Friedrich Schelling coined the word, and Friedrich Welcker used it to depict primitive monotheism among ancient Greeks.As a metaphysical minister, I consider myself to be an eclectic Christian. Eclectic means to derive ideas, style, or taste from a broad and diverse range of sources. Eclecticism is a conceptual approach that does not hold rigidly to a single paradigm or set of assumptions, but instead draws upon multiple theories, styles, or ideas to gain complementary insights into a subject, or applies different theories in particular cases.  This boils down to what us seminary students call the "uncanny" part of religion and spirituality. As religion merely means to do something by rote, over and over again such a praying, fasting, bible reading, we do these things religiously. Yet spirituality describes the connection we make to the Supernatural, it answers the question why? Whereas, religion answers the question as to what or how do you believe? Eclecticism and Henotheism for me, help me to explore how uncanny encounters within religious rituals aid participants in coming to terms with fears and anxieties, replacing negative emotions stemming from trauma or dislocation with positive emotions of God's love and overflowing forgiveness. Following Rudolph Otto, the uncanny has become central to the power of religious ritual. These uncanny elements for me, within religious ritual, provide an illustration of how religious experiences can help believers to feel ‘at home in the uncanny’. It doesn’t really matter if it’s good or bad what matters is that you fear the right things instead of fearing the wrong things. Firstly, the emotion of fear occurs in the amygdala of the brain. Some individuals engage in unnecessary risks that put themselves and others in danger. In this episode, I talk about the risks associated with being an excessive risk-taker. As I learned growing up, too much of anything is not good! Regular risk-taking, appropriately creates real changes in the brain. Those who struggle with anxiety and depression are more likely to engage in excessive risk-taking. These individuals cannot achieve normal levels of dopamine in a healthy way, so they seek more extreme means to find "chemical happiness". The St. Petersburg principle or St. Petersburg lottery is a Russian paradox involving the game of flipping a coin where the expected payoff of the theoretical lottery game is infinite. There are several types of Insomnia ​Acute Insomnia: Short-term insomnia lasting less than three months, often triggered by stress ​Chronic Insomnia: Persistent sleep difficulties occurring at least three times a week for three months or longer. ​Onset Insomnia: Difficulty falling asleep, often associated with stress, anxiety, or depression.​Maintenance Insomnia: Trouble staying asleep or waking up too early.​Behavioral Insomnia of Childhood: Sleep disruptions in children due to behavioral patterns. Trouble sleeping can come from unfamiliar patterns or experiences in our lives. For example, when I attended church service, I expected to hear the choir and a sermon but instead I was “deprogrammed” as an ED at Bethany Baptist Church Lindenwold, NJ SINCE GOD SPOKE they ONLY attempted to “deprogram” me as an ED at a church where nothing was holy, at work where it was not my job, at school where they were not my classmates or teachers, at home where these parents are NOT my parents and sisters are not my sisters, and at the police station where these are not officers. The Shadow Archetype  came into existence when Jung theorised that all individuals have a light side and a dark side. As you may guess, the dark side (the shadow) is what we choose to repress-whether that consists of weaknesses, hidden desires, or instincts. Jungian archetypal figures are the interface of human consciousness, because their motifs  form patterns within one’s personality hidden within our unconscious found everywhere around us, such as the ancient myths and folklores. Yet, Traumatic memories can be stored in the brain in a way that can become counterproductive, can trigger us, interrupt our daily lives, and can prevent natural healing in the long term. EMDR therapy’s structured approach allows for the reprocessing of trauma so by undergoing EMDR, the brain “revisits” the trauma but within a controlled, safe environment where emotional intensity can be managed. The hours between dusk and dawn, intended for rest and renewal, can be daunting for folks with insomnia. The struggle to embrace sleep can wear you down, leaving you feeling lost in the night. A biblical approach to conquering insomnia can help.  There are plenty of verses about insomnia and the night time in the Bible: John 11:9-10 says, “Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world. But if anyone walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him.” The Wizard of Oz is a great example of Four Survival Archetypes. The archetypes, the Child, the Prostitute, the Saboteur, and the Victim, are all involved in and symbolize our significant life challenges related to survival. The Child, the Saboteur, the Victim, and the Prostitute are the intimate companions of your intuition. They make you conscious of your vulnerabilities, your fear of being victimized and allow you to see how you sabotage your dreams. These four archetypes will become your guardians, preserving your integrity and refusing to allow you to negotiate it away under any circumstances.
