Welcome to the second episode of our new Surgery Spotlight series: Breast Reductions! Dr. Richard Bloom and Dr. Kim Taylor are taking it back to basics. We're answering everything you've ever wanted to know about a breast reduction or lift. How small can I go? Will I lose nipple sensation? Will I still be able to breastfeed? In this episode of My Surgeon Says, Kate sits down with plastic surgeons Richard and Kim to discuss the operations they wish people would think twice about — from fox eye surgery and cosmetic leg lengthening to buccal fat removal, oversized breast implants, and aggressive liposuction. Plus, they discuss the cosmetic procedures that could create problems 10 or 20 years down the track — and why sometimes being a good surgeon means being willing to say no. Craving more? Keep listening to hear why ignoring a non-malignant skin cancer on your nose may lead to forehead surgery, how the human brain will automatically start to use your index finger as a thumb, and why breaking your jaw might actually lead to a better facelift. As always, please rate and review us wherever you are listening. It really does help people know that we exist.
