Butt Slaps, Boy Mom Tears, & The Effing Cowboys
2026/10/22
The moms are FINALLY back together in studio, and things get a little sappy as Julie and Emily share some full-blown #BoyMom moments. Emily is learning that homecoming festivities might seem cheesy... until it's YOUR kid! Meanwhile, Julie navigates Ryder's student council elections and some good ol mom shaming moments from her kids. Plus- Emily is officially a working woman with a REAL office job (!!!)
In Sports Skorts, the Cowboys are once again testing everyone's sanity, and Julie is concerned about Dak's mental state. The TMG Brewers are taking on Tampa Bay in the World Series, the Mavs season is here, and the Stars are doing just fine, thank you very much.
Plus, did Tracy Wolfson's innocent little butt slap really deserve to turn the internet upside down? The moms have THOUGHTS. And Google's top trending Halloween costumes have us asking one very important question: Are we officially too old to know what any of this stuff is?! And why is Julie getting a wig?
Boy mom tears, butt slap debates, and another week of Cowboys frustration. Just another day at The Mom Game!

Less Pressure, More Play! The Sandlot League, Girls Trips, and Cowboys Failure
2026/10/15
Are people taking youth sports WAY too seriously? The answer is YES. Here on TMG we like finding people who are trying to do something about it. This week, we're talking about how to bring the fun back to youth baseball with Andy Pendleton, founder of The Sandlot League! Andy shares how his unique approach to youth baseball is giving kids a chance to just PLAY, without all the pressure, expectations, and anxiety that can come with organized sports. Could this be exactly what youth sports need?
But first, Julie is officially still on the struggle bus and trying to keep her mentals in check without tennis and pickleball, while Emily is fresh off a goofy girls' trip to Fredericksburg that was good for the soul! Julie also recaps her family's fall break getaway to Omni PGA Frisco, and we're reminded that sometimes a little break is exactly what everyone needs.
In Sports Skorts, the Cowboys completely sh*t the Buccs bed, we find a little joy in watching Texas lose, and we're still cheering on our adopted MLB playoff team, the Milwaukee Brewers!
Plus, over in What's On Your Feed, we may have discovered the most GENIUS PTA fundraising tactic of all time. Parents, you're going to want to hear this one.
This Week on TMG:
Julie's struggle bus without court sports
Emily's Fredericksburg girls' trip and Julie's Omni PGA Frisco getaway
Another Cowboys disaster and some college football fun
The PTA fundraising idea every school needs to hear
Andy Pendleton on The Sandlot League, sports anxiety, and making baseball fun for kids again

Don’t Touch Our Free Chips & Salsa + Fall Sports!
2026/10/08
Julie and Emily are podcast raw dogging from home—no wine, just opinions.
After an exciting Cowboys win, we've decided that CeeDee Lamb is fun. You know what else is fun? College football. Especially when our teams (Mizzou and Texas Tech) are rolling. In the MLB playoffs, the Brewers are officially our adopted playoff team...or should it be Cleveland!? They're both giving us plenty to cheer for. And after a long summer, hockey is officially BACK, baby!
Plus, Jack Hughes was not pleased with an ESPN reporter, and we have thoughts…. We like to think we know when it’s a good time to make a joke, eh?
Then we dive into why the dating world absolutely sucks, the Tony Romo–CBS conversation, and a potential crisis that has us deeply unwell: restaurants taking away free chips and salsa. You can take a lot of things from us, but leave the chips basket alone!!!

Are We Overthinking Our Kids? (And WTF, Cowboys?)
2026/10/01
Are we over-analyzing and over-testing our kids? And when, if ever, should we start pushing them academically? With kids in 3rd,5th,7th,and 9th grade we look at this from all the angles. Is it better to get ahead of any potential issues or just “let it ride” and see how they turn out?
Plus, a good vent about the Cowboys silly loss to the Ravens, a sad but predictable end to the Rangers season, and did we just get all in our feels about Justin Verlander’s retirement...on accident?
And! Emily teases some new job news, the tweens have new Instagram poses, it’s time to rage on Rivals.com, and a debate over babysitter cancellation fees.

Parent Pride, Teenage Boys & Taylor’s Football Wife Era
2026/09/24
Parent pride, teenage boy chaos, and braces-era nail shaming. Julie and Emily talk sports-mom highs and parenting lows before hitting the Cowboys, Taylor Swift’s football-wife era, the somehow-still-in-it Rangers, AI slop and women banning GTA6. Plus, Emily weighs in on Patrick Clancy’s much-hyped 60 Minutes interview.

The Future Swift Baby, Sad Cowboys & Sports Mom Problems
2026/09/17
Would you trade places with Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s hypothetical future baby? Hear us out...
Julie and Emily are guest-free and unleashed this week, talking 5th-grade sports decisions, club baseball mom life, sad Cowboys, fun Chiefs and the Kelceswifts are still all over the place.
Plus, Emily word-vomits about a secret from her past , we dive into the Holly Rowe/Arch Manning drama and Sydney Sweeney vs. angry female athletes, Julie passionately defends cats, and apparently tennis people are horny?! Just another perfectly normal week at The Mom Game.

State Fair Secrets, Corny Dogs, & the Mom Behind SSYS
2026/09/14
BONUS TMG! We’re back with two amazing moms who are building big things — and doing it their own way. First, Mallory Fitzsimmons, founder of viral fashion brand SSYS, joins us to share how she went from starting a business at home during COVID to building a full-scale fashion brand designed with moms like us in mind. We talk entrepreneurship, motherhood, taking risks and why Mallory was determined to build SSYS differently.
Then… is that corny dogs we smell?! Karissa Condoianis, SVP of Public Relations for the State Fair of Texas, takes us behind the scenes of one of the biggest and most beloved events in Texas. We talk about what it takes to pull off the State Fair every year, the food we absolutely need to try, and the fair hacks every mom should know before heading to Fair Park. Fashion, food, motherhood and a whole lot of Texas — welcome to your bonus dose of The Mom Game!

Mom Dreams, Football Season & an Unfortunate Surgery
2026/09/10
The kids are back in school — which naturally means THEY’RE SICK AGAIN. Julie is dealing with the back-to-school germs while Emily has some thoughts on those club volleyball schedules.
We’re also pranking our kids with British accents before asking a surprisingly big question: Are moms so busy managing everyone else’s lives that we don’t have time to dream about our own anymore? When you’re juggling kids, work, sports, schedules and everything else, when do you stop and think about what YOU want next?
Plus, college football is SO back, the NFL season is here, and the Rangers continue to middle.
Then, What’s On Your Feed brings us Kim Kardashian’s baseball reality show and the tragic story of an influencer who died following a penis enlargement procedure. And finally, the TMG News Desk reveals the most searched slang words in Texas in 2026.
Wine, queso, sports, mom dreams and questionable internet stories. Basically, a normal day at The Mom Game.

Midlife Meltdowns, Making History & What Dolly Taught Us
2026/09/03
MLB broadcaster Jenny Cavnar — a trailblazer who made history as the first woman to serve as a primary play-by-play voice for a Major League Baseball team — joins us as guest co-host this week, and we’ve got a LOT to discuss. Julie has a new cast, husbands continue to prove they are wired completely differently than women, and we commiserate about trying to parent, work and somehow “balance” it all.
Then, Emily is having a bit of a midlife meltdown as she faces the reality of a Rangers-less life. What are we doing? Where are we going? And is everyone else questioning their entire existence at this age too?!
In Sports Skorts, college football is BACK, we’re somehow getting sucked back into the Cowboys, and the NFL WAG content is already delivering. Jenny also gives us her perspective on the changing TV landscape in sports, what’s happening in the AL West and what it’s like continuing to blaze a trail for women in sports broadcasting.
Then we meet 49ers wide DEceiver “Dajeon Love” (giant eye roll) before taking some time to remember Dolly Parton — not just for the incredible woman she was, but for what her life can teach us about kindness, confidence, business and staying true to yourself.
And because this is still The Mom Game, we somehow end up at… The Fart Station.
A little midlife crisis, a little inspiration, and a lot of nonsense. Just the way we like it.

Prince Fielder! and the Queso Crow
2026/08/27
It’s Prince!! Former Texas Ranger and MLB All-Star Prince Fielder joins The Mom Game, and we’re talking a whole lot more than baseball.
But first — Julie is officially on the IL with a broken wrist, Emily is finding her thrill in cleaning, and somehow we have a Sports Skorts story involving a 49ers owner and a trailer park prostitute. Just a normal week around here! Plus, a Cowboys rookie has us feeling inspired, the Rangers remain aggressively middling, and CeeDee Lamb gets robbed.
Then Prince Fielder joins the show! Prince tells us what life after baseball looks like (spoiler: there’s a surprising amount of tennis), what it’s like coaching kids when you played the game at the highest level, and how his perspective on parenting has changed over the years.
We get into raising kids around baseball, parenting while traveling as a professional athlete, how youth sports have changed since Prince was coming up, and the advice he has for both kids who dream of playing baseball AND their parents.
And since Emily and Prince go back to his Texas Rangers days, we obviously must revisit the clubhouse prank wars, a few embarrassing stories, and what Prince remembers most about his time in Texas.
Baseball, parenting, tennis, broken wrists and trailer park prostitutes. A little something for everyone.

Middle Aged and Out of F’s
2026/08/20
Is the secret to surviving middle age simply surrounding yourself with people who don’t give an F? Because Julie and Emily may have cracked the code.
This week on The Mom Game, we’re talking about why being middle aged kinda sucks, Emily has BEEF with Netflix profiles, Julie has an allergic eye situation, and Ryder has officially gone motorized. What could possibly go wrong?!
In Sports Skorts, Von Miller is a Dallas Cowboy, the Mavs and Stars may have finally made up, and the Rangers have found themselves back in painfully familiar .500 territory.
Plus — 7U ELITE TRAVEL BALL?! C’mon, man. The Youth Sports train is completely out of control and while it’s sadly normal- we still need to vent.
We also take a more serious turn to reflect on the heartbreaking death of Hayden Panettiere at just 36 years old, her life and career, and why the news hit us so hard. And apparently some married couples swear that living in separate homes is the key to staying happily married. Are they onto something?
Then Sarah Duggan, VP of Marketing at American Home Shield/Frontdoor Inc., joins us to talk about balancing a big career with mom life, what a home warranty actually does, and the moments when AHS can seriously save the day.
Middle age, marriage, motherhood, sports, and broken appliances. Basically, we cover it all.

Back to School & a Group Text Intervention
2026/08/13
TMG Therapy is back in session! It’s Day 2 of school and Emily is… wait for it… already on the verge of a mental breakdown.
Why are there SO MANY group chats, apps, emails, hearts, likes, notifications, and ridiculous questions?! We’re talking through all the back-to-school madness, mom anxiety, and how to keep the chaos from taking over. Hint: maybe focus on the kids and step away from the texts.
Then, just when we thought parenting couldn’t get more awkward… PUBERTY. What are we supposed to do with this?! We have no idea, but we promise to make you laugh—and hopefully feel a little better—about this very weird stage of parenting.
Plus, are millennials really abandoning their boomer parents? And in an unexpected plot twist… we’re talking about how much we love reading books.
Back to school, group text intervention, puberty and generational drama. TMG Therapy is officially in session.

Summer Lovin', Happened So Fast
2026/08/06
Welp, time to wipe the dust off those alarm clocks as summer is nearing its end and we are actually… kind of sad? But before we start school- a couple last minute trips!
Has Emily mastered the art of traveling with kids? And what do our families do when law enforcement is asking questions on a highway or at the border? Hint: They embarrass us.
Plus- serious family business to attend to as Henry McCoy has gotten his driver’s permit… and Emily is his driving instructor. Pray for everyone involved.
In sports, Dak has his shirts and sights set on a Super Bowl, the Rangers are struggly again and on the other side of the trade deadline, and Romo is being replaced by JJ Watt?
Also- what is this about majoring in influencing at college? And do kids even need college anymore?
Then- we are joined by the owner of Dallas Water Doctor, Zack Plunkett- who reveals what’s really in that Dallas tap water that we’re drinking. (cringe face)

Julie’s Back, Romo’s Mess & Navigating Grief with Ryanne Saucier
2026/07/30
Julie is back from Canada, Jasmine is filling in while Emily celebrates her niece's wedding, and there's plenty to catch up on!
Julie shares some observations from north of the border that have her questioning whether Americans should be composting more, taking our shoes off at the door, and maybe slowing down just a bit. Plus, being in Canada during the latest tariff headlines made for some interesting conversations.
In Sports Skorts, the ladies discuss Tony Romo's rough week (bless his heart), Jason Robertson's back with the Stars for now, and Cowboys training camp is back too - are we feeling yeh or meh?
Then, we're joined by Ryanne Saucier, Vice President of Legal Affairs for FOX Television Stations and host of the How Do I Do This? podcast. After unexpectedly losing her mother, Ryanne felt called to help others navigate life's biggest changes with honesty, compassion, and practical advice. Whether you're balancing work and family, walking through grief, or simply trying to figure out life one day at a time, this conversation is one you won't want to miss.

Two Girls, One Bottle...Of Wine
2026/07/23
Ever wonder what's really going on behind the scenes at The Mom Game? This week, we're putting our producer extraordinaire, Jasmine, in the hot seat so you can finally get to know the woman who somehow keeps this train on the tracks... most of the time.
We're talking about the random tabs permanently open in our brains, pouring a little wine, swapping stories, and—per usual—watching the wheels slowly (and hilariously) come off. It's unfiltered, unpredictable—just like we like it!
