Grow Where You Are Planted: Perspectives on Workplace Crafting
2026/09/30
What if the opportunity you’ve been waiting for is already right in front of you? In this episode of Grow Where You’re Planted, we explore the power of becoming better exactly where you are. Your current job, circumstances, challenges, coworkers, and even your mistakes can become part of your education—if you approach them with curiosity and intention. We’ll talk about deliberate practice, learning from the people around you, asking better questions, developing new skills, and turning ordinary work into an opportunity for extraordinary personal growth. You don’t have to wait for the perfect job, the promotion, or someone else’s recognition to start becoming the person you want to be. Start where you are. Use what you have. Learn something today. And grow where you’re planted. #GrowWhereYourePlanted #PersonalGrowth #SelfImprovement #Leadership #Motivation #ProfessionalDevelopment #GrowthMindset #CareerGrowth #ContinuousLearning #SuccessMindset #PersonalDevelopment #WorkplaceLeadership
Grow Where You Are Planted
2026/08/28
Grow Where You’re Planted It’s easy to believe we’ll give our best effort when the right opportunity comes along. The better job. The better boss. The better circumstances. But growth doesn’t work that way. One of my mentors taught me the principle of deferred compensation: sometimes the greatest payment for the work we do today isn’t found in today’s paycheck. It’s found in the skills, discipline, experience, relationships, and reputation we’re building for tomorrow. Wherever you are right now, learn everything you can. Take on difficult assignments. Solve problems. Become more valuable. Give more than the minimum required. You may eventually leave the place where you were planted—but you should leave it having grown. Don’t wait for the perfect opportunity to become the person capable of handling it. Grow where you’re planted. Your next opportunity may depend on who you become while you’re there.

The Paradox of Growth: Descent before Ascent
2025/10/08
Before every breakthrough comes a breakdown. In this episode, Scott Nichols unpacks the paradox of growth, that true progress often begins with descent. Whether you’re leading a team, building a business, or working on yourself, the climb upward always starts by looking inward. Learn why setbacks, self-reflection, and humility aren’t detours — they’re the foundation for authentic success. The descent isn’t failure; it’s calibration. And those who embrace it rise stronger, steadier, and farther than before. Quote Highlight: > “You can’t climb higher until you’ve built something strong enough at the base to support the climb.”
The Value Of Going The Second Mile
2025/10/02
The Value of Going the Second Mile Anyone can do what’s required. The true difference-makers go beyond. In business, just like in life, the “second mile” is where trust is built, reputations are formed, and opportunities multiply. The first mile is obligation. The second mile is character. Leaders who consistently give a little more whether that’s extra effort on a project, added thought in a conversation, or patience in a tense moment separate themselves. And here’s the secret: going the second mile isn’t about working longer hours. It’s about showing care, intentionality, and resilience where most people stop. That’s what clients remember, that’s what teams respect, and that’s what builds momentum over time. The first mile gets you in the game. The second mile makes you unforgettable. What’s one way you’ve gone the second mile recently that paid off?

The Power of Association: Learning from those Above Average
2025/09/13
Understand that the above average is not normal. This message is for those who desire to influence the future for the benefit of humanity and be high achievers in their personal lives. Shortcut the learning curve, learn from those who came before and the high achievers that offer insight now! Surround Yourself with People Who Can Teach You Success and Happiness No matter your age, background, or circumstances—your future is shaped by the people you spend time with. In this episode, I break down the four levels of association and how they can transform your success and happiness: 1. Association – Spend time with people who inspire, uplift, and challenge you to grow. 2. Limited Association – Set boundaries with those whose negativity or habits drain your focus. 3. Disassociation – Step away from people or activities that hold you back. 4. Expanded Association – Seek out mentors, communities, and even timeless voices from history that can help you rise higher. Your life five, ten, or twenty years from now will reflect the company you keep today. Choose wisely, invest in relationships that elevate you, and fill your mind with good things. Who you associate with shapes your character and your future. Not everyone deserves your time—set limits where needed. Some connections and habits must be left behind. Growth requires expanding your circle to include mentors and inspirational figures. #Motivation #SelfImprovement #MindsetMatters #PositiveEnergy #LevelUpYourLife #NextLevelYou #PersonalGrowth #SuccessTips
