How many people remember the story of Judas?  Judas was one of the original Twelve Apostles of Jesus Christ.  It’s been told that he was the one who betrayed Jesus.  There are several passages in the bible that lead to this.  But why? Why did he betray Jesus and why did it have to happen?  These are just a few questions we ask and try to answer in this episode. More importantly, we compare ourselves to Judas. We are BACK!  It’s been several months since we have done a show and we are kicking down the door of 2021!   We are talking about Laziness!  We all have had a point in our life where we might go through some kind of lazy period.  We talk how laziness can affect your life with family, friends and God.  Ask yourself, what are you doing? Another passionate conversation on Broken & Blessed.  This week’s topic is all about Self-help. What does self-help mean and what does it look like to you?  Take a listen as the guys don’t hold back on what THEY each think “Self-Help” means. "So please understand where I come from, in the sense of Yeah, it's okay to read those books. But we got to be careful. Because those books want you to reward yourself and pat yourself on the back of good job, you did this. And if that's the case, Christ didn't need to die on the cross, or not the fact that he didn't need to, you're slapping him in the face, saying, I don't need you to die on my cross. Because I could help myself. Because we get we'll get into a we'll get into systematic thinking of, Hey, I help myself out of this. The next struggle that comes along, I'll help myself out of that to." "Well, I want to speak to the people who might be listening to thinking, Man, I've read every self help book there is, and I can't get it. Right." Philippians 4:6-7 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding,will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.  

Take a look our country today, do you think we lack discipline?  Do you remember growing up as a child, did you get in trouble for doing something wrong? Take a listen as the guys discuss their thoughts on the Lack of Discipline we see in everyday life now days. Here is something to think about… Is it o.k. to discipline your kid(s) and if so, how do you go about doing so? You could be blessed by the word of God understanding him growing closer to him, and and accepting discipline, accepting that refinement by affliction, but we don't accept it. We don't accept God's discipline, which is aka love. And this is what I've always told people to and this is what I tell my children. When I stopped disciplining you, it means I stopped loving you. Yeah. The fact the mere fact that I'm disciplining you I'm molding you on refining you, is to make you a better person in society, a better person to spread God's word, the gospel of Jesus Christ.   Proverbs 13:24 -  He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.

The title says it all!  Do you have “demons”?  Have you done something in life and said something like, “These demons are getting me.” In this show, the conversation gets hot.  There may be some differences in how “demons” or foreseen… Or is there?  You decide. Here is a clip from the show… JB: So again, you're giving more credit to some to that, that it's our own nature. But if we didn't go outside, and we didn't hear all this rhetoric and this nonsense, and this garbage and the filth that's being played on the airwaves, we created those things. AB: Yeah, but you can't tell me that didn't have apart of… Tell me  Satan doesn't have a part of what's going on in the world today? JB: Our own sinful nature. I think Satan's kick back with his feet up in the air like these people are gonna do…. AB: You don't think he had a part in this?  JB: He had a part in it. But somehow the way we go throughout our lives of blaming this on Satan of like oh man Satan’s around the corner, he's gonna get me, NO, our own evil desires are going to get us if we don't wake up and recognize that we need God more than ever in our lives. We're sitting there playing into the hands of Satan. Satan Got me! No, you got yourself because you're weak. You got yourself because you gave into temptation. Quit playing to the rule of saying that man sees lurking around the corner, man, he's gonna get me the time. No, the mere fact that we sit there and we don't rely on God as much as we should, that we think he's just some man in the sky and we only want to yell at him when he takes someone out of our lives or doesn't give us what he wants. Then we're gonna sit there and say, Man, well, you know, Satan did this to me. No, we did it to ourselves. We allowed the sin that exists in our lives to overcome us. Ever have a time in your life and you feel stuck or feel like you are not making any advancement forward.  Maybe you are making things harder then they need to be or perhaps you are doing something YOUR way.  Maybe it’s time to get back to the basics.  That’s this weeks topic, ‘Back to the basics’   “we go back to the basics. It's the same way. You know, with this, I think a lot of people and I'm thinking about this right now, my guts telling me to say this, is that you know, we forget that you know, when things are good, oftentimes we forget to think or take our time to spend a few minutes each day with, with God praying and whatnot. And it's not until when things start to kind of go bad or south or negative or however you want to swing it, whatever fix in your life to go back To the basics and start from scratch and or maybe not start from scratch or go back to the basics and you know dig into the Bible I've started recently I horrible reader and you know I look Bible verses up online from time to time I don't do it every day like I should. But until recently when I started doing my walks again, I tried to listen to audiobooks so i  got a  audio book Bible.
