God's purposes are greater than the small part of the story we can see. He used Elizabeth and Zechariah through their ordinary faithfulness and he does not forget His people. God’s Master Plan

Life is too brief to waste. Therefore, rest is good but kingdom labor is better.  -Sitting at Jesus’s Feet is Challenging, but Absolutely Necessary (Luke 10:38-42) -The Importance of Intentionally Slowing Down for Others (Psalm 127) -Rest is Good. But Kingdom Work is Better (Luke 19:10-27)

Because the LORD is God, and we are his, and he is good, loving, and faithful forever, his people can obey the command to rejoice, not by manufacturing gladness, but by beholding the Shepherd who laid down his life for the sheep. I. The God Who Commands Our Joy (vv. 1–3) II. The God Who Roots Our Joy in Himself (vv. 4–5) III. The Shepherd Who Secures Our Joy (John 10)

God sends trials to believers to make his power known through weakness and to show us His amazing grace. God sends trials:  To Teach Us  To Make Us Grace Known To Make God’s Power Known in Our Weakness

Since God is our highest good, we must entrust ourselves to Him

In painful troubles, we are able to call to God for help, because He is good, and we belong to Him.  -I Am Yours God, Save Me.  -You Are Holy God, and I Praise You -Change Me God, and I Will Serve You -You’ve Given Me Grace God, Please Give Me More

This morning, we are reminded that Jesus is our Exalted King, our Transcendent Creator and is the Ultimate Goal.  He is the Exalted King He is the Transcendent Creator He is the Ultimate Goal
