The Persecuted Church, God's Wrath & the Power of Intercession
2026/10/13
1. How should Christians respond to the persecuted church around the world today? Should our response focus on prayer, financial support, advocacy, direct involvement, or a combination of these? What does Scripture teach us about standing alongside our persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ?
2. What does Paul mean when he tells believers to “leave it to the wrath of God” in Romans 12:19? How should we understand this command, and what does it look like to trust God's justice rather than seeking revenge?
3. What does it mean that Jesus intercedes for us in Romans 8:34? How does His intercession differ from the Holy Spirit's intercession described in Romans 8:26–27, and what encouragement should believers draw from knowing that both intercede on our behalf?
Hard Times, Hard Relationships & the Christian Fish
2026/09/29
1. What Bible verses have sustained you through difficult seasons? One listener shares how Deuteronomy 20:3–4 encouraged them through some of the hardest years of their life. What Scripture passages have you leaned on when life was difficult?
2. How do I honor a parent when I strongly disagree with their choices?A listener is facing a painful family situation involving their mother, stepfather, and a new relationship they believe is wrong. How can we honor our parents while still standing firm in what we believe Scripture teaches? What does it look like to set healthy boundaries while still showing biblical love and honor?
3. Why is the fish used as a Christian symbol? We see the simple outline of a fish on cars, shirts, churches, and more—but where did this Christian symbol come from, and what does it mean?
The Tree of Life, Losing Salvation & Jesus’ Best Parables
2026/09/23
Can you eat from the Tree of Life that was in the Garden of Eden? And where is the Garden of Eden located?(Great questions submitted by a 5-year-old!)
In Matthew 24:24, is Jesus saying that true believers can be drawn away from the true Christ and lose their salvation? Or is He saying they could be deceived or distracted? How should we understand this verse in its proper context?
What is one of your favorite parables of Jesus, and why?
Jesus at the Temple, Getting Rich Quick & Is the Devil Easier to Believe In?
2026/09/15
Did 12-Year-Old Jesus Disobey His Parents? In Luke 2:41–52, how was 12-year-old Jesus not sinning against His parents by staying behind at the temple when they left to return home? I would’ve been in big trouble for this as a kid! How was Jesus still honoring His parents? What’s Wrong with Getting Rich Quick?Proverbs warns several times against get-rich-quick schemes (Proverbs 13:11; 28:20; 20:21; 21:5). What is wrong with getting rich—or with getting rich quickly? Is It Easier to Believe in the Devil Than in God?I heard someone say that he believes it is easier to believe in the devil than to believe in God. I don’t know the full context, but I don’t think he is a believer. How would you respond to that statement?
Social Media, Baptist Traditions & Ephesians 6
2026/05/12
How do I know if my social media use has become sinful? Are there ways to use it well, or should I just get rid of it all?Why do Baptist pastors typically avoid clerical robes, ornate chains, or crosses? What is the motivation behind that tradition? What does Ephesians 6:2 mean when it says children who obey their parents will “live long in the land”? Aren’t there many obedient children who still die young?
NIL & Money Temptation? 2. Why Do We Have Blind Spots? 3. Why Did John the Baptist Doubt?”
2026/04/28
NIL and the Transfer Portal in college sports. Is it an evil temptation for 18-23yr olds, since the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil?
Is there any significance to the fact that everyone has blind spots in their character and personality? Couldn’t God have made us fully self-aware?
As I read the Gospels, I start wondering why John the Baptist is so unsure about Jesus and who Jesus is. The Father and Spirit seem to clearly reveal the identity of Jesus as God the Son at his baptism by John. Yet as recorded in Matthew 11:2-6, John sends his disciples to question Jesus. I know this is probably speculation on your part, but I wonder why John appears to be questioning this clearly observed, heard, and experienced baptismal event and message from God.
“Faith in the Tension: Sin, Society, and Raising a Family”
2026/04/14
Why does David say in Psalm 51:4 “Against you, you only, have I sinned”? Didn’t he also sin against Uriah and Bathsheba in this instance?
My question came as a result of Pastor Doug's message a couple of weeks ago in Luke 23:27-31. While I recognize that Jesus was probably being specific about the times just prior to his crucifixion when the religious leaders were rejecting his teachings. Is it possible there is another prediction here in Luke? In this passage, is Jesus looking toward times such as today, when women bearing children is not seen as a virtue, but as a hindrance to their growth and prosperity? We see this view in many individuals (couples) putting off marriage, putting off having children, and looking only at their economic progress and financial security.
How can we still prioritize our spouse and marriage when small kids demand most of our time? help make a catchy podcast tittle
“Faith, Babel & Suffering”
2026/03/24
1. How should I respond to the death of a person that I know died without faith in Christ?
2. Was the city of Babylon at or near the location of the earlier tower of Babel, or do they just sound similar and have no other major connection?
3. What is a good scripture to read and consider when I am going through suffering?
“Promises, Parenting, and Praise.” 🎙️
2026/03/10
I was just wondering if there was anything else to get out of Joshua 15, where they are telling about all the land that is given, other than showing us God kept his promise? And in that same chapter, it talks about how the Jebusites were allowed to stay, and I didn’t know why that was either.
At what age should I talk with my kids about issues of sex and sexuality?
What is the difference between psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs in Ephesians 5:19?

My grandmother is such a good person — is it right to think of her as a sinner?
Do we know whether Barabbas ever became a believer in Christ?
“Seen Yet Unseen: The Seven Spirits, The Son in the Old Testament, and Why Four Gospels?”
2025/11/18
Question 1 — The Seven Spirits of God
Where can I find more information about the “seven spirits of God” mentioned in Revelation 4:5 and 5:6? I’ve heard the Book of Enoch may talk about this—does it? Is there more information elsewhere in the Bible, and is the Book of Enoch the best resource for understanding this?
Question 2 — Moses Seeing God / Christ in the Old Testament
If passages like 1 Timothy 6:16, John 1:18, John 6:46, and others say no one has ever seen God, but Exodus 33:11 says Moses spoke to the Lord “face to face,” does this mean Moses was speaking to Jesus in the Old Testament? If not, how do we reconcile these verses? And if Jesus says in John 5:46 that Moses wrote about Him, where else in the Old Testament can I look to find Jesus spoken of by Moses?
Question 3 — Four Gospel Accounts
If the Gospels are biographies of Jesus, why did God want us to have four different accounts instead of just one?
