Episode XIV: A RANT
2021/01/19
Hello lovelies, this episode is very different from my other episodes. You may enjoy it, you may not. In today's episode, I will be ranting about the recent exhaustion of finding a well-suited dog groomer. A lot of people tend to think dog bathing and grooming is an easy job, like stocking the shelves at a TJ's... well let me tell you why it's not. Episode XIII: Pet Parent vs. Dog Groomer (PLUS ANNOUNCEMENT)
2021/01/10
In this episode, I dive into two questions... Pet Parents: "How can I trust my dog groomer?".  Dog Groomers: "How can I gain a client's trust?".   Learn how to get to know who you are leaving your fur baby with and learn how to gain a pet parent's trust, coming from a dog groomer of 7 years' perspective. Questions? ASK @doggroomerpodcast @magdalenagrooms  Check out our Youtube Channel: Jeana's Dirty Dog Salon

2020/12/17
Instagram: @doggroomerpodcast @magdalenagrooms This episode dives into some of the things we should think about before we get a new pet! Especially during a pandemic. There are a bunch of components to getting a new pet, vet bills, grooming, breeds, temperaments, exercise, etc. If you are thinking about a new fur baby, take 10 minutes out of your day to stop and listen!
Episode XI. Listener Q&A
2020/11/23
In my first Q&A, I answer a couple of questions from a listener! How to be helpful in the workplace, how to gain experience, and to stand out as an employee. All of these questions are from my point of view and experience, from working in a corporate salon to working as a right-hand groomer in a small local business. Episode X. Anxious Dogs vs. Dog Groomer
2020/06/08
I dive into some of the reasons dogs may be coming into the salon anxious, especially post-shutdown because of COVID-19. I also talk generally about what could be causing dogs to feel anxious while going to the groomer, whether it's their past experiences, lack of exposure, the groomer themselves, or their pet parents!  Instagram: @Doggroomerpodcast  @magdalenagrooms
Episode IX. Fleas & Ticks vs. Dogs
2020/05/25

Episode VIII: Wellness vs. Dog Groomer
2020/05/16
I talk about how I handle my well being in and outside of the grooming salon. Grooming is a high-pace, high-stress job. We work closely with live animals, sharp objects, and of course people. Sometimes we are so busy taking care of others that we forget to take care of ourselves. This can also apply to anyone in any service industry who is feeling frustrated and burnt out at work. Disclaimer: I am not a professional life coach, therapist, or psychologist but these are the things that have helped me keep my mental and physical health in good shape. 1. Eating well 2. Good Sleep 3. Yoga/ Breathing 4. Journaling 5. Therapy 6. Separating work & home 7. New Hobbies/ Learning something new 8. Surrounding myself with like-minded people 9. Loosen up 10. Changing up routine I got into depth about how these top 10 things have helped me feel stable and at ease in and outside of work.  Questions? or Requests? If you are questioning whether you should be cleaning your dog's ears at home (especially during this time) or have some questions regarding your dog's ears. Even a dog groomer who wants to expand their horizons. This is the episode for you!  If you have any questions, want to keep up with the podcast, have some constructive criticism or want to be groomer friends, feel free to get in contact on Instagram @doggroomerpodcast or @magdalenagrooms.
