In the 70's, Don was a professional rugby league player for the Cronulla Sharks and Western Reds and is now a crane operator by day and a country musician by night. After a chance encounter at his work in February of this year (2023), Don gained his confidence as a musician and started playing open mics and jam nights and has not let up since. Despite this, Jason has gone on to represent his local team, State and Country, but still just loves the game and chooses to play in the NBL off-season to keep himself ticking over. Through determination and the support of her family, friends, neighbours, doctors and nurses, Simone got through that night and now shares her story to raise awareness of domestic violence.
