The Hidden Belief That Keeps Women in Body Burnout (and How to Change It), with Filipa Bellette
2026/08/12
Send us Fan Mail What if body burnout isn’t about doing more… but about changing the story you’re telling yourself about who you are? In this episode of The Light Seekers’ Lounge, I am joined by functional medicine practitioner and co-author of Ending Body Burnout, Filipa Bellette. After years of chronic symptoms - despite doing all the “right” things for her health - Filipa discovered a hidden belief she’d been carrying since childhood: that she was weak and incapable. When she began to gently flip the script on that belief, everything started to change - her energy, her nervous system, her confidence, and even the way she showed up in business. This conversation is especially powerful for women who have been holding everything together for everyone else, while quietly feeling exhausted underneath it all. In this episode, we explore: what body burnout really is - and how it differs from everyday stress and fatiguewhy doing all the “right” health things doesn’t always create recoveryhow subconscious beliefs influence your nervous system and physical wellbeingthe connection between perfectionism, money stress and chronic symptomshow identity-level shifts can support lasting healinggentle ways to begin rewriting the internal stories shaping your energy and capacityFilipa Bellette is Co-Founder of the multi award-winning health practice Chris & Filly Functional Medicine, accredited Clinical Nutritionist, Functional Medicine Practitioner, Coach, Trauma Therapist, and PhD Scholar. Together with her husband Chris, she has supported more than 3,500 clients using their ROOT-root-cause approach to resolving body burnout. Their work has been featured on the Today Show, nine.com.au, Forbes and Body+Soul, and recognised through the Telstra Best of Business Awards and the Australian Women’s Small Business Champion Awards. Embracing New Seasons: Transitions, Experiments & Following the Glimmers of Joy
2026/08/06
Send us Fan Mail For months, returning to the podcast has been one of those things I kept thinking about but didn't quite get to. Eventually, with a little celestial peer pressure from my CHANI app, I remembered something I know about myself: action breeds momentum. So I pressed record. And here we are. If you’re embracing new seasons of your own, you may recognise the mix of reflection, possibility and pressure that can come with change. August can make it feel as though the year is racing away, but there is still time to notice what feels alive and choose a meaningful next step. In this episode, I share a little of what has been unfolding behind the scenes in 2026 for me and for my family, along with some of the experiments, ideas and glimmers shaping this season.  It’s a conversation about making room for change, following what brings joy and curiosity, and trusting that we don’t need to have the whole path mapped out before we begin. How to Know When It’s Time to Pivot, with Frances Scadden
2025/11/27
Send us Fan Mail If you’ve been stuck in a season of “what now?” — this episode might just be the clarity you didn’t know you needed. In this honest conversation, I’m joined by Frances Scadden, who knows a thing or two about reinventing your business when things no longer feel in alignment. We talk about pivoting (without burning it all down), redefining visibility as a woman in business, and what it really looks like to honour your truth — even when it makes other people uncomfortable. In this conversation, Frances and I discussed: Frances’ journey from corporate to coaching to content creation, and how her career has evolved through different seasons — from chasing corporate success, to coaching midlife women, to finding unexpected joy and alignment in content creation (even at 52!).What it really feels like to pivot — and why it’s not failure. Frances opens up about the rollercoaster of making big changes in business, the fear of being judged, and how she navigated the uncomfortable “in-between” when she knew something wasn’t working anymore. Why visibility is often the hardest part for women in business, the reasons women hold back from showing up online, and how Frances helps her clients reframe what visibility looks like on their own terms.Burnout, boundaries, and letting go of the pressure to do it all, and how stepping away (without burning everything down) allowed Frances to create a business that feels so much more sustainable. The power of connection, creativity, and owning your storyFrances Scadden is a Content Creator and Social Media Manager who helps women in business turn their messy, brilliant ideas into scroll-stopping content that actually lands. After years as a coach and mentor, she made the brave decision to pivot into a business that feels energising, creative, and truly aligned. Through her brand Your Content Partner, Frances blends strategy, storytelling, and soul to help women get seen, trusted, and hired — in a way that feels human and not forced.
