GEORGE HARRISON Live in Seattle (11/4/74) ~ Multitrack Stereo DeMix
2026/10/09
GEORGE HARRISON's 1974 DARK HORSE Tour has not been released in commercial form.
Here's the complete live show from the Seattle Center Arena in the state of Washington, November 4, 1974. In multitrack stereo; demixed in 2025 (I had to look it up; "demixed" is isolating each instrument & then remixing together for a clearer sound.)
This is the best audio of the tour that I've heard; it's in multitrack stereo, and it's demixed.
I placed the Ravi Shankar & Friends set at the end of the audio, at the 1:33:35 mark. It's a killer set, with George joining Ravi on a variety of songs. Originally the set came after the 6th song of the show (after "Sue Me, Sue You Blues"). Please enjoy!

RAM in QUADRASONICS - Paul McCartney - Hear It Differently!
2026/08/22
PAUL McCARTNEY's 1971 album, RAM, presented in QUADRASONICS, which is a system that uses four independent directional sources of sound. You don't need any special system to listen to it; it's simply a different sounding mix, a bit more separation by using the four "directions" of sound. (It's pretty much the same as Quadrophonic.)
It's a really great sound; one that doesn't knock you over the head, but a sound that you can tell is different, yet familiar. Please enjoy!

THE ALTERNATE CONCERT FOR BANGLA DESH - George Harrison
2026/08/11
August 1, 1971 ~ George Harrison & Friends (including Ringo Starr, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Billy Preston, Leon Russell, Badfinger, & others) gave two charity concerts (afternoon & evening) for Bangladesh Relief, at Madison Square Garden in NYC.
The matinee began at 2:30 PM, and the evening concert started at 8:00 PM. Most of the songs from the commercially-released triple-album set came from the evening show, while a few were used for the album from the afternoon show.
So this set list is the OPPOSITE of the songs used for the commercial release.
**PLEASE NOTE: This recording came from an audience member's recording, so the sound is definitely not good. It's listenable, but not up to "commercial" standards.
***ALSO PLEASE NOTE: The source of this recording did not record the Ravi Shankar set, which opened the concert. This recording begins with George and band taking the stage after Ravi's set. I feel, from an historical viewpoint, it's quite cool. Please enjoy!
WAH-WAH - George. Audio is from the afternoon show up until the 3:20 mark, at which time, the audio from the evening show is used to finish the song (the opposite of the commercial release)SOMETHING - George. The afternoon version. This was switched to the next-to-last song in the evening performance.AWAITING ON YOU ALL - George. Afternoon version. This song wasn't played at all during the evening show.THAT'S THE WAY GOD PLANNED IT - Billy Preston. Afternoon performanceIT DON'T COME EASY - Ringo Starr. Afternoon performanceBEWARE OF DARKNESS - George. AfternoonBAND INTRODUCTIONS - From the evening performance. George had forgotten to intro the band earlier in the evening, so these introductions are right before the second-to-last song in the show. I moved the audio up to this point in order to get a good idea of who's in the band.JUMPING JACK FLASH / YOUNGBLOOD - Leon Russell. Afternoon performanceHERE COMES THE SUN - George with Badfinger on acoustic accompaniment. Evening performanceA HARD RAIN'S A-GONNA FALL - Bob Dylan. Afternoon performanceIT TAKES A LOT TO LAUGH, IT TAKES A TRAIN TO CRY - Bob Dylan. AfternoonLOVE MINUS ZERO / NO LIMIT - Bob Dylan. Afternoon. This song was replaced in the evening show by "Mr. Tambourine Man" (which Bob didn't sing in the afternoon.)JUST LIKE A WOMAN - Bob Dylan (joined by George & Leon on vocals). AfternoonHEAR ME LORD - George. Afternoon (George didn't perform this in the evening show.) (It's at this point in the evening show that George introduced the band, but we heard it earlier.) George performs MY SWEET LORD. Afternoon showBANGLA DESH - George. Afternoon
Thanks for listening!

GET YER YA-YA'S OUT! Rolling Stones RAW DEMO ORIGINAL SOUNDBOARD RECORDING
2026/07/16
Arguably the greatest rock 'n' roll concert album is The Rolling Stones' GET YER YA-YAs OUT! recording from 1969's Madison Squrae Garden shows. Post-concert overdubbing was done, from what I've heard, to about half the songs, mostly Mock & Keith's vocals and Keith's gutar work (but some of you may have more info).
This is the original soundboard recording of engineer Glyn Johns's Raw Demo (aka "no overdubbing"), from both shows at Madison Square Garden in NYC, November 27 & 28, 1969, and at the Baltimore Civic Center on November 26, 1969.
Enjoy!

SLY & the Family Stone TRIPLE PLAY
2026/04/02
Three segments of music by the sometimes brilliant, sometimes tragic, always interesting, SLY STONE (and THE FAMILY STONE).
Our first segment is an album from 2011: SLY STONE: I'M BACK! FAMILY & FRIENDS (Cleopatra Records). It's an interesting mix of brand new versions of Sly's classics - some featuring rock giants collaborating with Sly:
Dance to the Music (featuring RAY MANZAREK of THE DOORS)Everyday People (featuring ANN WILSON of HEART)Family AffairStand! (featuring CARMINE APPICE & ERNIE WATTS)Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin) (featuring JOHNNY WINTER)(I Want To Take You) Higher (featuring JEFF BECK)Hot Fun in the Summertime (featuring BOOTSIE COLLINS)Dance to the Music (Extended Mix)Plain Jane (original song to this album)His Eye Is On the Sparrow (original song to this album)Get Away (original song to this album)Dance to the Music (Club Mix)Family Affair (Dubstep Mix)Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin) (Electro Club Mix)The second segment takes us back to 3:00 AM (3:00 AM!!), August 17, 1969 at the Woodstock Music and Art Fair (in neighboring town, Bethel, NY). Taking the stage (3:00 AM) are Sly & the Family Stone:

It was Sly's record label, EPIC RECORDS, hoping to cash in on the (by 1979) already dwindling first wave of disco. They remixed some of Sly & the Family Stone's biggest hits, in the hope that it would appeal to the disco/dance crowd:
1. Dance to the Music
2. Sing A Simple Song
3. I Get High On You
4. Everyday People
5. You Can Make It If You Try
6. Stand!

HARRY NILSSON POPEYE DEMOS plus BONUS tracks
2026/03/05
Robert Altman's 1980 film, POPEYE, featuring the music of Grammy winner Harry Nilsson, starred Robin Williams & Shelley Duvall. Harry Nilsson's demos are wonderful; he wrote and sings them all. My personal fave among this superb collection of demos is Nilsson's duet demo with Shelley Duvall.
Included are previously unreleased tracks from the film score, by Thomas Pierson.
PLUS the original Popeye theme AND the original 1930 Popeye vocal track.
Enjoy!

FLO & EDDIE & THE TURTLES LIVE at The Bottom Line, NYC '79-'94
2025/09/18
Here's a 2-hour, 15-minute LIVE compilation of FLO & EDDIE ~ aka THE TURTLES ~ shows from the legendary, but unfortunately, now-defunct New York City nightclub, The Bottom Line, from the years 1979-1994. The compilation is comprised from two main sources: "The Turtles Featuring Flo & Eddie Captured Live" and "New York 'Times' Live at The Bottom Line featuring Flo & Eddie." The "New York 'Times'" performances were recorded, with microphones literally hanging from the ceiling of The Bottom Line. Thus, the audio is not always 100%, but certainly worth hearing because it's a tremendous example of Flo & Eddie's fun, chaotic insanity ever-present during their live shows. (Quite a back-up band, as well!).
Flo & Eddie are actually Mark Volman & Howard Kaylan.
We sadly lost Mark Volman on September 5, 2025, so we respectfully dedicate this recording to Mark's memory.
