Choose Your Leaders Wisely
2020/08/24
Executive Leadership Coach, Motivational Speaker and Corporate Trainer, Amos Balongo takes you on a leadership journey for leaders making a difference.  Amos believes that every individual deserves to be equipped with effective leadership tools as they journey their way to success. He believes that leaders should constantly grow and learn to equip themselves with the skills necessary for leadership. Amos consults with companies, corporations, non-profit  organizations, and the United States Government equipping them with strategies to develop their leadership potential.   EPISODE SUMMARY: Where do you invest your leadership development time and energy?  This is the question organizations have to face in their search for candidates for their next generation of leaders.  Will you develop leaders from the inside or bring in new talent from the outside?  Our podcast for the week lays out the pros and cons of hiring from the outside versus developing leaders from within the organization.   EPISODE NOTES: One challenge many organizations face is not knowing who their candidates for the next generation leadership are. Bringing in someone from the outside may put your organizational culture at risk.  On the other hand, developing potential from the inside may have more benefits but require more time and energy.  Our recent podcast enumerates guide questions that will be helpful in your assessment and evaluation of next generation leaders for your organization. It is a crucial search that will have long term effects on your organization and hence the need to choose wisely is extremely important.   “One thing that crisis reveals is the current strength or lack of strength of the leadership within your organization.  A crisis is also a fantastic time to train and develop the next generation of leaders if you have a leadership development mindset.”   Download bonus resources at:  www.transformationalpodcast.com Connect with us on Facebook at:  http://www.facebook.com/amosbalongo Find us on Twitter at:  http://www.twitter.com/abalongo Follow us on Instagram at http://www.instagram.com/amosbalongo Get to know more about Amos at http://www.amosbalongo.com/   Don’t forget to Subscribe to the show, leave a comment and Share!

Developing The Next Generation of Leaders

Executive Leadership Coach, Motivational Speaker and Corporate Trainer, Amos Balongo takes you on a leadership journey for leaders making a difference.  Amos believes that every individual deserves to be equipped with effective leadership tools as they journey their way to success. He believes that leaders should constantly grow and learn to equip themselves with the skills necessary for leadership. Amos consults with companies, corporations, non-profit  organizations, and the United States Government equipping them with strategies to develop their leadership potential. EPISODE SUMMARY: The only thing that is constant in life is change.  Every day, we encounter changes in our schedule, in our physical attributes, in our character and even in our leaders.  Nothing is permanent.  That is why it is imperative for leaders to train and develop the next generation of leaders.  It needs to be an evolving process that needs to be practiced by every leader. EPISODE NOTES: At some point a leaders time always comes to an end.  Leadership is not forever.  A great leader knows that at some point, he or she has to pass the baton to someone else to continue what was started, or to improve on what has been done.  Current Leaders must develop future leaders.  In our podcast for this week, I have outlined some guidelines on how to develop a plan to install a leadership culture within your organization. Developing a leadership culture means that you intentionally develop the leaders around you.  Download bonus resources at:  www.transformationalpodcast.com Connect with us on Facebook at:  http://www.facebook.com/amosbalongo Find us on Twitter at:  http://www.twitter.com/abalongo Follow us on Instagram at http://www.instagram.com/amosbalongo Get to know more about Amos at http://www.amosbalongo.com/ Don’t forget to Subscribe to the show, leave a comment and Share!

Leading through change is a crucial role for any leader.  Doing so in a way that engages your team and captures their discretionary effort and buy in is a sign of great leadership.
