2023/04/26
Welcome back to a brand new season of Ruck My Life Podcast. The show that helps raise the profile of LGBTQ+ rugby athletes around the world and gives them a platform to share their story of being part of the International Gay Ruby Organisation (IGR).
Today we are excited to hear from James Anthony, a long time member and co-founder of the Birmingham Bulls RUFC, who has been working hard behind the scenes as the Bulls host this year's Union Cup 2023. Sadly like many events Covid-19 meant that the original date in 2021 had to be postponed but now that restrictions have been removed the doors are open to another thrilling weekend of rugby! We will be exchanging past memories of tournaments, our trials and tribulations of being gay in sport and of course discussing the tragic news of Trans athletes being banned from contact rugby.
So wherever you are, relax and enjoy another episode of Ruck My Life Podcast!

Welcome back to another episode of Ruck My Life Podcast! This week we speak to Augustine Ihm originally from Chicago but currently living here in Manchester UK and playing for the Manchester Village Spartans. This week we discuss the issue surrounding conversation therapy and the dangerous effects it can leave behind. Augustine’s journey and battle with self identify is truly heroic and he is now fighting the fight to bring down such ‘cure’ therapies and break down stereotypes in gay culture, to make our community more inclusive and allow people of all backgrounds to feel that they belong.

However this week the boys discuss Mental Health and how now more than ever, it is vital for men especially to be open to talk about it. The boys discuss what they are struggling with during lockdown and suggest ways to combat our moments of depression and low self esteem. Season 2 Episode 4: We are all in this together
2020/11/21
Welcome back to another episode of Ruck my Life Podcast! This week we are honoured to be joined by Andy and Scott from the Worcester Saxons RUFC. A relatively new team to the IGR family but have already been making headlines with over 100 members in just 18 months. Not only this, but their team is one of only a handful of teams around the world that was born from an already founded club the Worcester RUFC, a team predominately made up of cis male straight players, a idea that not so long ago, would have been unheard of. However they both share their stories of the ever growing issue of being gay at a young age and how our perception of sport is so fragile. However Scott and Andy tell us of how they overcame their barriers and be proud of who they are.
