Climate Bonds Café: Financing Resilience in Asia: How DBS is building the market
2026/06/26
Asia is warming at twice the global average, and as a region, has experienced some of the most severe economic and social impacts from climate-related events over the past two decades. Annual costs associated with physical climate risks for companies in Asia are projected to reach USD 336 billion by the 2030s, but several structural barriers continue to constrain capital deployment into climate adaptation and resilience. In this special video episode recording during London Climate Action Week, DBS Bank’s Kelvin Wong and Shilpa Gulrajani, as well as Climate Bonds’ Meggie Eloy, join us to discuss how Asia can move from resilience ambition to mainstream implementation, covering illustrative examples across asset classes and emerging markets. For a deeper dive into the opportunities and challenges for scaling adaptation finance in the region, read the Adaptation and Resilience: Exploring Investable Opportunities in APAC report.

Financing the Future: The Methane Moment - Agriculture
2026/03/23
Agriculture is the largest source of human-caused methane emissions, responsible for around 40% globally. But unlike the energy sector, these emissions are spread across millions of farms, shaped by biology, local conditions, and tight margins. That makes them harder to tackle and to finance. In this episode of Financing the Future, we explore where agricultural methane comes from, practical, proven solutions already in use, and how investors can support a credible transition for the sector.

It’s about fixing systemic imbalances across the entire value chain, from production and supply chains to consumer behaviour and environmental impact. In this conversation, Professor Shenggen Fan, Executive Chair of the World Agri-Food Innovation (WAFI) Conference Advisory Committee, and Climate Bonds CEO Sean Kidney explore how science, policy and capital can work together to reshape the global food system. Financing the Future: The Methane Moment
2026/01/20
Methane is one of the most powerful drivers of climate change, responsible for nearly a third of the warming we’ve already experienced. Cutting methane now offers one of the fastest ways to slow near-term warming and protect a 1.5°C future.  In this episode of Financing the Future, host Gabriel Carhart is joined by Climate Bonds experts Magali Van Coppenolle, Lily Burge, Ana Diaz, Leonardo Gava, and Marian Rodriguez to unpack why methane matters, where it comes from, and what can be done now to cut emissions at scale. Together, they explore the three biggest sources of human-made methane (energy, agriculture, and waste) and the practical, market-ready solutions that already exist to address them. The conversation looks at oil and gas leaks and flaring, livestock and rice cultivation, landfill gas capture, and the major finance gap holding back action. It also covers the Global Methane Pledge and the growing role of credible standards and guidance in unlocking investment.   This is the first episode in a special series on methane abatement. In the weeks ahead, we’ll dive deeper into each sector and explore how investors, policymakers, and industry can work together to deliver immediate climate impact and long-term sustainability.
