We just watched Apple TV's Matchbox: The Movie, and honestly? It’s corny, it’s completely forgettable, but it is an absolute blast of a popcorn flick! Directed by Sam Hargrave (Extraction), the camera work is fantastic, the car chases are pure adrenaline and the practical explosions look phenomenal on screen. That said, the movie definitely suffers from a bizarre tonal disconnect between the goofy childhood "Matchbox crew" dynamic and the gritty, high-stakes international spy plot. It’s silly, loud, and doesn't take itself too seriously, making it a fun Friday night watch even if it won't stay with you for long. Join Flix & Giggles as we break down John Cena’s performance, the standout stunt work, and whether Apple TV's live-action toy adaptation was worth the ride. Drop your thoughts in the comments below: did the car chases make up for the cheesy plot, or was it a total miss for you?

We just walked out of Project Hail Mary, and it is a certified, emotional 10/10! Ryan Gosling delivers an incredible performance grounding both the claustrophobic survival in deep space and the desperate race against time back on Earth. The dynamic between Grace and Rocky completely stole the entire movie, the emotional weight, the humor, and the sheer stakes of saving two civilizations made this one of the most compelling sci-fi adaptations in years. Add in Eva Stratt's relentless drive on Earth, and every single second had us glued to the screen. Join Flix & Giggles as we break down the standout performances, the jaw-dropping practical and visual effects, the emotional high notes, and the lingering questions that demand a sequel.

Save your time and do not fall for the hype because this movie just completely sucked. Check out our completely honest, unfiltered review to find out why this is an absolute skip, and let us know in the comments if you were just as confused as we were!
