The Kat In The Trap 041 #new52mixshow

2026/07/02

This episode of The Kat In The Trap takes music in a different direction, introducing Vancouver, BC all-star DJ/producers Seb C West Coast, and Jaemo & Tess, with some new remixes heating up the airwaves this summer. I wanted to start out with our normal hip-hop feel, using some records you might be familiar with, before sliding into Lee Ross and Black V Neck—something you might hear in a proper house set or on Groove Directive on Dizz Global Radio. One of my favorite things to do is blend EDM with trap music and hip-hop, while occasionally throwing in some R&B. We even switched up the cover this time to give Kat a different look for the series—but it's the same bangers representing the tattooed goddess herself. Thank you for lending me your ears and for your continued support! Track Listing Chris Brown Ft Akon - Came To Do Tony Touch vs Sia vs T Pain - The Greatest DJ Sprung (Blaze Remix) DJ Khaled ft. Rihanna & Bryson Tiller - Wild Thoughts Ciara, Missy Elliott, Bingo Players - 1,2 Step (JaeBea 2020 Rework) Transition Lee Foss, Ralf - Cadillac Drake - Hoe Phase (JAEMO & TESS Remix) Life on Planets, Black V Neck - Drip Drop (Handle That) THE MARKET (SEB C REMIX) V5 JR ft Trey Songz - Best Friend https://www.instagram.com/dizzmediagroup/

House Wednesdays are a main staple of Portland nightlife. Hosted by Shay Baca since 2023, I got an invite my first summer in Seattle after doing a short vlog during one of my many visits to Portland. Being a house head and an open-format DJ, I put together a deep stash of tracks for my debut set on August 23rd, 2023. Here is part one of my two-part "Portland Preview." Thank you for lending me your ears and for your continued support! https://www.instagram.com/dizzmediagroup/

Audition mixes are always fun, and this is exactly why I call this series The 206 Sessions. This is a mix I put together for Q Nightclub called The Progressive Opener. It's the ideal set I would play if I were opening for a progressive artist such as Qrion or Oliver Smith. Having opened for four Anjuna artists with Progression Indy over the last four years, and with a series like Alki Sessions under my belt, progressive and organic house are truly in my DNA. Prior moving to Seattle in the summer of 2023, I created a new mixtape series called Alki Sessions, taking a deep dive into Progressive House, Organic House, and Melodic House & Techno. Those are usually the elements I start my Transcension sets with, but having a couple progressive shows over the summer of 2023, I wanted a new electronic series that focused on that. I did Ten episodes in 2023, but only released 9 on Mixcloud. This was the original song order of episode 010 before taking a two year hiatus and moving over to Podomatic and Apple Podcasts. Thank you for lending me your ears and continued support. Track Listing Nordfold - Andes Jordin Post - Blossom Roald Velden, Talamanca - Silk Road Antrim - The Ocean Sun Capa (Official) - Mosaic Sub Teal, Gabriel & Dresden - Will I Change feat. Sub Teal (Simon Doty Mix) Damate - Reflections Simon Doty - Lady Danger Warung - Sinuous Donna-Marie (NZ) - Amour Boxer - Total Uphoria Tom Zeta - Catharsis ARTBAT, Sailor & I - Best of Me (CamelPhat Remix) https://www.instagram.com/dizzmediagroup/

This week's mix is a preview of a set I put together for House Wednesdays back on September 20th, 2023. Still new to the PNW while holding down my residency at Dancers Showclub back in the Midwest, I put together some tracks I felt would vibe with the format. This was one of my "Coast to Coast" runs—doing House Wednesday in Portland on the 20th and flying back home to Indianapolis to do Proper at The Patron Saint on the 21st. One of the cool things about this series is that I get to give people an inside look at some of my sets, which is why I call them "sessions." This mix was an audition I did for Q Nightclub in Seattle to open for the duo Twinsick. The nice thing about having Dizz Global Radio is that it allows me to showcase various forms of mainstream electronic music. On the rare occasions I get to submit an audition mix, it's always something well-prepared. Thank you for lending me your ears and for your continued support! Track Listing Westend - Running Low Steppa - Up All Night LOSTBOYJAY - COULD BE WRONG Sunday Scaries - Share My Soul John Summit - Make Me Feel J. Worra, Leo Stannard - Check Out Jazzy - Giving Me Jazzy, James Hype, Belters Only - Make Me Feel Good (James Hype Remix) Nikki Ambers, Robosonic, Ferreck Dawn - In My Arms (Vocal Mix) Black V Neck - Like Whoa Matroda, Dino DZ - Saturday Love Disclosure ft Mary J. Blige - F For You (Mary J. Blige Remix) Calvin Harris, D.O.D - Sweet Nothing (2025 Edit) Ben Dragon, Juliet Mendoza - I Wish I Was Your Record LF SYSTEM - Afraid To Feel (David Guetta & Dyro Remix) Dom Dolla - Saving Up AYYBO - Certified MK, Rita Ora, Joel Corry - Drinkin' https://www.instagram.com/dizzmediagroup/

The 503 Mixshow 009 #new52mixshow

After a successful debut at Vice Seattle, the following week I started making my move to Portland. Wednesdays and Thursdays were my days off during my summer job at Enterprise, so a visit to Open Decks at House Wednesdays with Shay Baca was definitely in order. Before the main House Wednesday lineup starts, Open Decks are held for the first two hours, and occasionally I get to do a set. In Season Two, I'll bring you a video set I did back in February—I'm thinking about uploading the video itself or extracting the audio. Either way, I have some exciting jams for you next season on The 503 Mixshow. Thank you for lending me your ears and for your continued support! I like open decks because it allows me to experiment with music—either tracks that have worked well in previous sets or something new I’d like to test live. During the summer of 2025, while working a full-time job at Enterprise at SeaTac, I still kept my ear to the ground with music. It was the first job in 22 years that didn't involve a DJ booth. I had a 60-to-90-minute commute to work via bus, light rail, or the West Seattle ferry, and I always listened to music en route. That Friday-to-Tuesday schedule mirrors Dizz Global Radio now, and on my days off, I'd work on the few mixes I put out. This is another open decks set, recorded at Ora Nightclub on May 31st—my 23rd DJ anniversary. Thank you for lending me your ears and for your continued support as we take a dive into some techno! It's been a few months since I did a live set in Portland, but a few weeks ago, I stepped out of the studio and behind the decks for Bounce Thursdays at Que Dicee. Shoutout to Logic and the crew! I decided to play a freestyle set based on some of the music from the #new52mixshow and some of my older sets. It's always nice to read the crowd and keep your USB stacked with various types of music. This is where my 20 years of experience working in gentlemen's clubs pays off with my open-format style. In Season Two, we will add more flavor to the mixes, and as more gigs and shows come along, I will add them to the feed. Thank you for lending me your ears and for your continued support! Track Listing Leah York - Only One Tchami & OOTORO - Late Night Secrets Matroda, Dino DZ - Saturday Love Lloyd ft. 206 Sessions 010 #new52mixshow

2026/06/30

As Season One comes to a close on 206 Sessions, I leave you with a special Open Decks episode at Mira in Bellevue. I've been to a few shows there with my homies Fame Sounds and DJ Amp in the lineup, and it's a great venue. Back in February of 2025, they had an open decks night and I opted to go up first. I made sure to record my set. One of the most important things about an open decks session is giving tracks a try to see how they work in a live setting or just getting a feel for the room. In Season Two of The 206 Sessions, we will get into the things that have shaped the sound of the wonderful Seattle community and nightlife. The Emerald City will always be my home away from home, and I'm thankful for all the people I've met thus far. Thank you for lending me your ears and for your continued support! Track Listing Pharrell Williams, Uffie - ADD SUV (feat. Pharrell) Mark Knight, Gene Farri - I Can't Go For That Walker & Royce, Nala - Not About You FISHER ft Aatig - Take It Off Stevie Appleton, John S - What A Life feat. Stevie Ferreck Dawn, Robosoni - In My Arms (Vocal Mix) Eats Everything, Torren - Honey (Torren Foot ) Lee Foss, Ralf - Cadillac (Original Mix) FREAK ON - We Got The Fire Ownboss & NXNJAS ft - Ridin Dirty Dom Dolla - Saving Up Da Funk Junkies, Raffae - Jack In The Jazz https://www.instagram.com/dizzmediagroup/

Mixtape Monday 160 #new52mixshow

2026/06/29

Mixtape Monday is my longest running mixshow in the #new52mixshow universe. Much like Sunday Funday, it started as a mixtape mini-series in 2016, and I restarted the series in 2017 and continued from there. Over the years there have been a few starts and stops with the pandemic and my work schedule, but now I can confidently say Mixtape Monday will be coming at you every Monday on Podomatic and Apple Podcasts (and coming back to Mixcloud late this summer). The format has changed a little over the years with more mainstream electronic music, but in true fashion to the series, I promise to bring a couple of flips and tempo dips to keep your interest. Once again, thank you for lending me your ears and continued support! Track Listing Lil Uzi Vert vs Malivai & AFROJACK vs Refresh - Just Wanna Rock (Transition 75-128) Chris Brown - BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE (SEB C Remix) Fred again.. & Swedish House Mafia ft Future - Turn On The Lights again..
